This shop recently opened in May but Jackie, the main mechanic has been in the industry for 10+ years. Hopefully this review will give you a little clarity if you're looking for auto shop services. The Shop: Once you enter, there is a comfortable L shaped couch seating. If you are unfortunate to have to wait there for a little bit, don't worry because there is a TV for entertainment, or if you need to work, there is free wifi. I've never been to an auto-shop that provides this before. The entire area was very clean which was a great first impression. Services & Prices: Jackie is very transparent to tell you what is wrong with you car and what he will need to do. He won't try to convince you you need more to get business out of you. His prices are very fair and probably the best in town. I've gotten many things changed at the shop including my tires, brakes, oil. JL Auto is slowly starting to be our family's go-to autoo shop. I had a long list of things that needed to be addressed on my last appointment at JL Auto. I had gotten a much higher estimate from the most reputable Subaru dealer, on the South Shore. With JL Auto, I had an appointment within a week, and a reasonable estimate for the work which included brakes, suspension ball joint, and belts. At JL Auto I have never been disappointed. This wonderful mechanic had the job done so quickly and came in under his own estimate, which was far below the dealership's estimate. When does that ever happen? I can't express the stress-free experience, the level of professionalism, and respect for the customer's time and money, that I feel from every encounter with this shop. I was in such a bind when my car ac broke! I was very fortunate to have a friend suggesting JL Auto. Jackie was friendly from the first phone call explaining what kind of work I'd need for my car, offering lots of solid options for a range of needs and costs, and super kind and patient while I asked many questions. It's always so jarring to have something happen to your car and I always hear stories to be wary about shops that overcharge with vague reports of the issues and options for repair. I'm SO glad I found JL Auto because I am very confident that they offer solid options and quality work at competitive price points. I live in Cambridge and it's at LEAST a 30+ minute drive for me to make my way to Quincy to get work done but I'll be returning here for certain every time! I was able to wait and work with wifi.
