Berlin's shop was very experienced, carefully reviewed the scope and quoted prior to doing the work so I could prioritize and schedule services accordingly. I am very happy with the work quality, the shop interaction and value is unmatched. I have owned and driven BMWs and Hondas on the south shore for over 30 years and I am grateful for the quality and integrity of this shop!! The owner is professional, experienced and invested in his work and service level and value is far above the level of service at my Honda and BMW dealers where the past few years particularly dealer mis-diagnosing and overselling services is standard, ie last year when I simply needed a new battery from autozone on my Honda CRV the dealer diagnosed a $2,500 bs job which I declined. BMW dealer diagnostic and repair quote was also totally nuts, but that's par for the BMW service course so you need to establish a great independent service shop and Berlins Garage works for both vehicles.

I've had family members who have had positive experiences at McGee, but I certainly did not. I went…read morein looking for a used car. Immediately, the salesman introduced himself and we had a brief conversation about what I was looking for in terms of vehicle and price. He asked for my keys so he could get a copy of my registration from my car. First, he brings out a make of car that I did not like. Totally fine, he's not a mind reader. Like any reasonable person I look over the car to be sure it's not the right fit, and tell him "thank you for showing me, I think I'm looking for something more along the lines of _____". Immediately he seems to get defensive and frustrated, stating along the lines of "this is just what I usually start with, and with what you're putting down this is pretty much what you're looking at". So, okay. That's fine. It was frustrating feeling like I was being told what I had to put down wasn't good enough (it was about $1000 on a $15000 car). Whatever, we move on. I ask him a couple general questions about other cars on the lot and every time I am met with "I don't know, I don't have every car on the lot memorized". Finally we land on a car I'm somewhat interested in, and the car had been in two collisions. When I asked about purchasing an extended warrantee, he kept avoiding my inquiry pushing that the car would be covered under the lemon law Eventually, between trying to work two sales at the same time, I decided that I didn't trust this guy and it wasn't worth it. Only problem was, they still had my keys so I couldn't just leave. Not a huge deal, but I think it's kind of a scummy move that puts you in an awkward position. Overall, I felt like I was trying to convince the salesman to sell me a car. It felt like pulling teeth. Do I think it's a terrible place? No. Do I think they probably have some good salesmen? Sure! Would I go back? Definitely not. I went elsewhere and was able to get a really nice vehicle for a great price.

You would think with having AI and ChatGPT the dealership would realize the consumers are more educated than ever. Sorry to say nothing has changed!! We will continue to buy somewhere else!
