Unfortunately, I am very disappointed in Chris! Really seams like an OK guy , And knowledgeable. I took in two sewing machines to have them repaired. One just Need cleaning and tuneup . The other needed some work . Chris neglected to fix the arm That holds in the material and replaced the lightbulb with one that is way too hot! I gave him the benefit of the doubt , thinking he may just have neglected seeing that problem! I called him at least eight times and even went to his shop and spoke with his helper. I left a note for him & still no return call . I paid over $300 to have work done . I now have to take somewhere else To have repairs done. What is absolutely no excuse to not return a call when you are in business! I would not recommend this business read more

I am not impressed with the owner of Henry's. His name is Chris. He states that he made every attempt to repair my Dyson. He stated that he replaced the battery and the vacuum would die soon after starting it up. I prepaid $40 for this diagnostic study! I took it home and my husband ordered a new battery. The Dyson works perfectly now. Also, the screws that would have had to be removed to take out the old battery looked untouched. I seriously doubt that Chris did anything with the vacuum. read more

I had a vacuum cleaner that needed a belt. I tried calling this place on three different occasions, trying to talk to whomever works there. Every time, it went to VM. I drove 25 miles only to find them closed. There was a note on the door, saying he'd be back at 1PM, but to call him on his cell. I called the number and this time I got a text, asking if he could call back. I do not recommend this place anymore. Something changed. He's not at all customer service oriented any longer. Chris really came through and helped me in a pinch! I had 100+ masks to make when my Brother Computerized machine seized up. He squeezed me in because he knew I was desperate. When I got home, my machine needed a few tweaks to the tension. He face timed with me and walked me through the whole thing. My wife took her sewing machine to have the reverse fixed on it. This was the first time we have had it fixed, so when he asked for the fee up front we didn't know this was not supposed to happen. When she got it back, the reverse was not only not fixed, but something he did while he had it apart, the machine would not sew at all. On repeated attempts to get a hold of him, the phone has not been answered, and when a message was left, he has not called back. Do not take your sewing machine here to be fixed unless you like to be frustrated with a businesses lack of customer service. I gave them a 1 star because there was not a lower rating available. read more

Chris was 20 minutes from closing, but he took the time to help me get the vacuum out of the car, put on a new belt, test it and return the vacuum to the car. He was super nice and his charge was very reasonable. I wish I had more things to have him repair. I recommend him highly. read more

I needed a small repair on my BEAM central vac and Chris was not only quick with repair but totally knowledgeable on the product. I left the shop very impressed. Chris hooked me up with a refurbished Shark Rotator and gave me a great trade in on the old one. I took it home and tried it and was amazed at how much dirt this thing picked up! Chris was great... brought in my Singer that was having issues - he troubleshot issue and tracked down replacement part. After install, another plastic gear broke but was had a labor intense access issue. Was told unit wasn't worth the cost, but bought unit recommended by Chris and we're back in business! I try to always choose and support small businesses, but I'm done with this one. I dropped off my sewing machine and was told the minimum charge would be $129.95, and a $100 down payment would be required. I should have turned around and left at that point but didn't. Because there were machines everywhere - on floor, counter, etc. - he initially put the tag on the wrong machine, until I brought it to his attention, and he changed it. Then a week later I got a call saying my machine was ready, and it was actually someone else's. I made a few inquiry calls over the course of 27 days and they don't answer the phone or return calls. One day I stopped by during business hours. The lights were on but the door was locked. I finally went in to check after 27 days, and there it was over in a dirty, dusty corner, completed. Their promise to call when repaired apparently means nothing. The shop is thick with cigarette smoke odor, and the younger guy comes to the counter without a mask, and asks me, " Do I need to put a mask on?" All in all, this was not a pleasant place to do business, yet quite expensive. Don't bother. read more

I took it to Henry's and he looked at it and showed me that after 7 years of loyal service, it was done. Too much cat hair, etc. I ended up getting the new and improved version which is the best yet. Henry is great! He has everything you need and can switch most things out on the spot! Of course it was a Saturday afternoon, I was trying to clean house and my vacuum was spitting dirt and debris right back out. I called and he said he to load er up n bring er in and he could fix it right up! I did and Henry solved my problems in five minutes AND improved things w better features and manufacturers compatible add ons that didn't come w my model! I just used it and the hose I got is ten times better than the original and the entire vacuum is working better than it's ever! He also saved me from having to buy a hand or stick vac for the stairs! I'll be back w my steam cleaner for a part replacement soon! Be sure and take your Unit with you though! read more
