Accidentally found this place when i walked back to the hotel. I didnt get to try the sorbet that everyone's talking about, but i love the fruit. I bought the mix fruit one. Its got papaya, pineapple, mango, kiwi etc... They are so sweet and price is reasonable. Definitely will come back next time im in town. read more

Looks truly can be deceiving. Who would know this quasi run-down little hole-in-the wall has some of the freshest fruit (try the mixed bowls) and best ice creams (especially the apple banana) around. Sorry to hear that Henry is gone... read more

this place is tiny and yes def a hole in the wall! I went searching for this place because of the yelp reviews. I paid about $5 bucks for a pineapple/coconut ice cream/yogurt. It was good, but not all that. Maybe I should have got a different flavor. read more

Wow! Had my doubts but damn their ice cream is good! Parking sucks but that's expected in Waikiki. This is my new favorite ice cream/sorbet place. Thanks Henry! Whoever you are read more

I have tried, coconut, mango, and avocado flavors.. When I first had a bite of each of them, i didn't like it... so I just had a couple of bites and put them in the fridge..I was going to give 3-4 stars... the next day, I tried again... it tasted better.. haha.. and I just finished everything.. I probably was just so full that night so those ice creams did not taste good... Mango and coconut were the best. I would def recommend. Avocado wasn't that bad but my boy friend did not like it that much. ! read more

We were so lucky that our hotel was right around the corner from Henry's! In 2.5 days, we went to Henry's 3 times! Some of the flavors are available as either ice cream or sorbet. Depending on when you go, you may see some flavors but others might be sold out. We tried 4 different kinds of ice creams: lychee, mango, papaya and guava. My favorite was lychee but actually all the flavors were really good. They eat somehow miraculously captured the true essence of the fruit! I wish we had more days because we didn't get a chance to try the green tea, avocado, strawberry guava and kona coffee flavors. read more

After tasting over 4 different flavors at Henry's I can declare Henry's as my favorite place for sorbet. Tucked between several hotels, Henry's is hard to find. My family stumbled upon this gem as we were staying in the hotel across the street. We'd seen dozens of people sitting on beach chairs outside the shop and became curious. I'm so glad that we ended up trying this place! We ordered: Mango Sorbet Avacado Ice Cream Watermelon Ice Cream Watermelon Sorbet Out of these 4, my favorites were the watermelon sorbet and the mangosorbet. I can tell that the ingredients are fresh and the ice cream is homemade. They even show the ice cream making process on a small TV outside the shop. If I happen to come back to Honolulu, I will be sure to return to Henry's for their sorbet! read more

A small shop tucked behind the Trump hotel that can be easily missed. If you walk by, there are usually a few people sitting outside enjoying their ice cream in a styrofoam cup. Very reasonably priced - $5 for a styrofoam ice cream in a wide range of flavours. I've tried mango, lychee, pineapple coconut. All very very yummy! read more

I came here because of the reviews but I was not impressed. Maybe it's a local thing but my family and extended family found nothing special, it was good but nothing I would go out of my way for. read more

We passed by this place multiple times, but did not bother to check it out. Finally, we stopped by when we saw that the little shop was filled with customers. One by one, we crammed ourselves in there to find that they sold home-made ice cream. Their ice cream, in flavors such as pineapple and mango, are sold in styrofoam cups covered with a plastic lid. Different flavors are not identified with printed labels, but actually handwritten with a Sharpie. I tried the pineapple one, which was very good and creamy. Hawaii definitely needs to have more mom & pops like Henry's Place. read more

Just picked up ice cream from here. Couldn't decide, so we got three! Nice old school market. Very friendly. read more

$5 a cup full of mango sorbet, where can I get better than this? I love this place!!! It took me a while to find this place, it's closer to the beach end of the street. read more

Not too much to say really, just get a sorbet or ice cream and enjoy. This place is pretty old school, everything is served in a Styrofoam cup. I got the mango sorbet, it was delicious. My girlfriend got the watermelon ice cream. I'm not a huge fan of watermelon, but it was super refreshing. Thumbs up! I want to try their other flavors, but there weren't too many the day I went. read more

Hidden gem in waikiki which I found through yelp (thanks yelp). Finding the location was a little difficult. (Henry's Place is behind the trump tower.) But it was worth looking for! First visit I got the passion orange guava ice cream which was delicious!!! It comes in a styrofoam cup and could feed two people. My brother got the avocado ice cream and that was also good. They cost $5.25 thats with tax, cash only and the two times I went there the same girl asked for exact amount. Second time I went I got the Pineapple coconut and that as of now its my favorite! so yummy :) if you ever around the area I suggest you should try the place. They also have fresh fruits and sandwiches (they look good but never tried them, yet). read more

This place is amazing! It was such a spontaneous find for us when we were visiting honolulu. I loved the handmade fresh ice-creams that they offered in traditional asian flavours. They also had a selection of fresh fruits. I did not try the sandwiches, but they looked pretty standard. When I one day return to this beautiful island, it will definitely be one of my stops! read more

Great ice cream. Tasted fresh and perfect dessert on a hot day. $5.25 for a 12 oz cup I think? Plenty for two to three people to share. We got mango. It was excellent. Place looks pretty seedy from outside but the gathering of folks out front should let you know that there is goodness inside. read more

Henry's Place - realiscious mango sorbet - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

First of all, like another yelper had mentioned, the yelp map location is wrong. It is down the street more, closer to the beach. Small little shop and limited seating outside. As for the ice cream itself we tried a couple flavors - Ube, Halo halo, Corn and cheese and they were all yummy, Ube being our favorite. Ice cream was good consistency, and a good portion to share. Cash only, only a few people were in line, and walking distance from a lot of hotels/beach. Definitely would recommend and would come back again when we're back in Honolulu! read more

This is a nice bit of small-time, local character, and ice-cream, in a Waikiki that has really come to be dominated by characterless, cookie-cutter chains which one can find in any suburban mall. It deserves praise for that alone, and the ice cream, overall, is good, too. It's a tiny hole-in-the-wall place with just enough room to walk in, get ice cream from the freezer, and order at the counter, with a few seats out front. Ice cream or sorbet, etc., is, as others point out, simply packed in small containers with the flavour written on the outside. The ice cream ranges from good to great, some with great, creamy textures, some a little icy but some of those are icy because of the fruit used. Avocado ice cream is very nice, creamy as avocado ice cream should be, but not as rich and creamy as my favourites, and a touch on the bland side compared to my favourite versions of this flavour. The lychee is excellent - sweet but wonderfully flavourful with aromatic lychee character and lychees in it. It's a bit icy, but probably as a result of using lychees. I'm blanking out on the other flavours we had. read more

How to get ice cream or sorbets from Henry's Place: 1) Step into the tiny hole-in-the-wall store. 2) Stare at the different flavors through the glass doors (left=ice cream, right=sorbet). 3) Quickly open the door to grab your flavor(s). 4) Get yelled at by the grumpy old man. No matter how fast you move, you'll still get the lecture to keep the door closed. I agree with the other Yelpers, if you have issues with your guests self-serving, then keep your products behind the register and then you can open the doors with your magically swift fingers! I get that you don't want your product to melt, but I'm moving as fast as I can here. It's also not a great feeling to get scolded as you're supporting someone's business. It doesn't make for great customer service. A little kindness goes a long way. Aside from that, this place does have really great sorbets & ice creams. We've tried the avocado ice cream, mango ice cream, & pineapple mango sorbet. The avocado was alright. It wasn't sweet enough, but you could tell that it was made with real avocados from the small bits you'd find throughout the ice cream. The mango flavors were on point. It was like biting into a fresh, ripe mango. Perfectly smooth and not overly sweet! Would I come back? Maybe. If the customer service was better, I'd be back every single day. But the thought of getting yelled at before getting a treat isn't exactly enticing, so actually... maybe not. As for RL's review down there, I definitely don't think you should be posting a 5-star review for a place that you're clearly affiliated to. read more

Couldn't resist heading back to waste some hard earned money, however was optimistic that my taste buds would be pleasantly surprised and overjoyed. Sadly, I experienced what I expected. Tasteless slop that is frozen in a freezer protected by iron clad electricity protectors. Am amazed this place has 4 stars - I suppose the morons that rate this place must have bad taste, hence staying around the corner at the trump. read more

WHOA..best ice cream in Waikiki, There are lots of shaved ice/ mochi places in Hawaii; but trhey all pail in comparison to Henry's Place and did I forget to mention that it's in Waikiki! For $5.46 you get your pick of ice cream or sorbet in a cup (I would go for Ice cream on your first time...since the sorbet taste more like frozen fruit, if you like that sort of thing). The flavors vary, but contain green tea, mango, guava, melon for the most part. Very conviently located next to embassy suites (on the valet parking side)...this is one of the few "gems" hidden in Wakiki...definately worth a visit if you are visting! read more

Small shop, lots of stuff from sandwiches to fresh fruits and ice cream!!! We had the mango ice cream and the watermelon sorbet. Really good. According to the person behind the counter, those were the most popular. He was right! The pricing was cheap compared to the "Waikiki" pricing others have. Check them out! read more

Go to this place if you wanna get YELLED at. I was trying to pick the ice cream flavor I wanted and had the freezer door open no more than 10 sec and this lady worker yelled at me "hey! close the door!" I was appalled by her rude attitude towards a customer. Save your money some place else, this business does not deserve it, and you don't deserve getting yelled at. Incredibly rude customer service. No aloha spirit. Ice cream average. Never ever going back here. read more

Only wandered in here because I was looking for shave ice. Was also intrigued by the large-ish crowd outside, and the TV that was looping a video of the establishment. No shave ice, but when I saw what frozen treats WERE for sale... I was sold. Cheese & corn ice cream! One of the tastiest and most interesting flavors I've ever had. If savory dessert isn't your cup of tea, I'm sure you'll find something here you like -- there were many flavors to choose from. read more

Henry's Place - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

This was just a really simple and great place - $5.25 cash for a cup of icecream/ sorbet. It was a bit large for me to finish and wasn't the best texture icecream I'd ever had, but at the time I got it that icecream was just what I really needed. I got the Kona icecream - smooth flavor, not too bitter/ not too sweet. Just simple. The texture isn't "fluffy" like gelato or scooped icecream. It's more like eating it out of a pint at home, but I didn't mind that. I'd recommend to people. Update: I went back again tonight and got the lychee icecream *and* the pineapple-coconut sorbet. Both are amazing!! read more
