Henry's Donuts are what I missed about living in Roseburg for the 15+ years I was gone (well after my friends and family I guess...). The donuts are perfect every time! The maple bar is my favorite ever! Did you know they make giant donut rings that can be ordered for special orders!?? The pastry is light and fluffy (and never greasy), the glaze/frostings/icings are the perfect sweetness, and the price can't be beat anywhere... Sometimes the atmosphere is hectic and it would be nice that if they are sold out of all of the "main donuts" that there was a sign up or something. But that's really not that big of a deal. We were super excited as we love to support mom and pop establishments, especially when we travel to enjoy the variety and pride put into the product. The girl who served us was really nice. The black coffee with extra shots was not good. Latte was solid. One of bagel breakfast sandwichs, the sausage and cream cheese bagel, was cold. The others were decent. read more

I am not a huge fan of donuts but now that I know Lynn works here we will support this donut shop whenever we can. Stopped in for a sweet tooth craving and Lynn made sure to greet us while helping another customer. This place was almost completely out of donuts by 11:30am (a good sign). Most donut shops I've been to are always stocked full of everything which worries me on the freshness of their food. Even though this is the only non-grocery donut spot in Roseburg, their donuts are delicious and hold up to major city donut establishments. I was so happy to see a familiar face working for this place Lynn is wonderful and treats everyone like family. read more

Why didn't I take a picture of these inexpensive but absolutely delicious morsels??? The shop is in a strip mall. When we walked in, the case was full of delights. Yeast, cake, and BUTTERMILK donuts filled and covered with luscious glazes and fillings. My husband ordered the glazed and raspberry filled; I ordered an old fashioned buttermilk and lemon filled. I'm only going to discuss this buttermilk donut. It was perfect. They had chocolate and maple covered, but I'm a purist with these. The outside was crispy and the inside was buttery soft. Bring cash (they don't accept credit cards) and don't waste time browsing for bacon maple bars or iced cake doughnuts sprinkled with stale, children's breakfast cereal. What you will find at Henry's are trays filled with fresh classics: old-fashioned, raised, glazed, cake, cream-filled, jelly-filled, twists, cinnamon rolls, bear claws, maple bars and amazing apple fritters. Crispy on the outside with a sugar glaze, Henry's fritters are soft and fluffy on the inside with gooey apple morsels and spices. One of the few doughnuts priced higher than $1 at Henry's, the apple fritter is large (larger than my hand) and can easily be shared by two people. I included several photos for you to see the daily selection of doughnuts. My last visit was 6:30 a.m. on a Sunday; the only day of the week Henry's Donuts opens later than 5 a.m. I had a tall order: three dozen assorted to feed a gaggle of teenagers who camped overnight in my backyard for my son's birthday party. Be warned that they do only take cash (as stated in other reviews). Went here one morning to pick up some donuts for work and really liked the place. They open at 5am, which I really appreciated. They had a great selection of donuts (probably because I was there early in the day) which were all delicious and very fresh. There was nothing overly fancy or complex about the flavors they offered, but they were all fairly generously sized (one glazed circular one I got was about 6 inches across!). It is true you could probably get donuts elsewhere for less money, but I found that $10.80 for a dozen was worth the price and quality. read more

This is a "Mom & Pop" shop in Champion One Plaza. They do have the best donuts around. They open way early and so they do sell out late in the afternoon, so it's best to get there soon-as-possible. They get creative in their donuts (just not radical crazy like other places) in a traditional way. Another reason I really like this shop is it's named after the owner who is serving in the military in either Iraq or Afghanistan (can't recall which one). The woman who works there is Henry's mother she has a heavy Asian accent but you can make a transaction, just be aware that English is her second language. They are a bit more pricey than a Fred Meyers or Safeway bakery, but they are much better. I agree with the other 2 reviews service can be improved on, but I personally haven't had a really bad experience that would make me not come back. They are a cash only store so make sure you have cold hard cash. read more

Bad, bad service. We ordered not knowing they only take cash. We asked the woman to save the box of donuts for us while we went to the ATM to get cash. We returned 5 minutes later with cash in hand and the woman claimed someone STOLE them. Yes, that's right. My husband tried to give her the benefit of the doubt that maybe she meant to say "someone else BOUGHT them" (she spoke poor English) but no, she insisted someone stole them. We left & went to Safeway's bakery, and they had better prices anyway. Never going back to Henry's. read more

My family has been coming here since they opened, and have always enjoyed their great donuts. Unfortunately, on our last two visits we have experienced terrible customer service. On the two visits, the lady helping us did not greet us at all, she was talking on her cell phone the entire time she was helping us, and didn't bother to say "Thank You" when we left. Great donuts but expensive. They even opened a new store in Winston. Both stores constantly sell out in the middle of the day, hours before they close. The people who run the stores are nice & friendly but don't know how to run a business. If they don't stop running out of donuts, they will run themselves out of business. With all of the rave reviews, especially in regards to the Apple Fritter, this was a must try. Being married to an Apple Fritter connoisseur, I wasn't sure whether she would be coming into this experience with unrealistic expectations. The Apple Fritter was perfect, in my uneducated opinion. There wasn't an over abundance of apple filling, which tends to be my main detractor from this delectable dessert. But in the case of my spouse, this was the Apple Fritter's one major short-coming. While I highly recommend this donut to the layman, if you're a fritter snob, you may leave a tad disappointed. Four stars nonetheless. read more
