Donuts, how can you go wrong? Cute little shop. Lots of goodies to choose from. Got a dozen oassorted. I like the apple fritters.

Walked in, saw the female worker, coughing into her hands, and then reaching for stuff in the case, I walked out. The people that were in front of me walked out, and one of them yelled, don't go in there, the lady is uncontrollably coughing in her hands, and does not wash them, disgusting! There appeared to be no wash sink in the prep area. If you're sick, stay home, or use sick time, but for God, sakes, with all this Covid and other things running around, at least wash your hands when needed. Won't be back. Disgusting is an understatement! Two customers in a row walked out. read more

$3.50 for an average apple fritter that is no better than what Safeway offers is exorbitant. I could have gone to Safeway and pay far less.

Donuts are the freshest, delicious I have ever tasted. Major donut chains can't compete with Empire Dounts. Staff has always be friendly and helpful. I have never felt like I had to rush. For best selection you should plan on arriving early. Maple long John's and apple fritters are outstanding! My favorites! You will not be sorry for stopping by Empire Dounts!! read more

I grew up in Coos Bay & recently traveled back for the first time in ages to show my children where I grew up. Of course minutes after I told my kiddos no more snacks we stumbled upon Empire Donuts while making our way out to Sunset Beach. Oh. Em. Gee. These dang things were a huge hit. My kiddos are pretty picky donut eaters & all I kept hearing was how good each bite was. My daughter ordered 2 chocolate cake donuts with chocolate frosting & my son ordered 2 old fashion maples. They also ordered one buttermilk bar & one Oreo donut to try (share). The woman working was just the sweetest thing. Great little donut shop in empire. I'm happy we stopped in. read more

Saw this place on Facebook and got excited because it was new and I LOVE donuts so decided to check it out while running errands at 10:30am on a Tuesday morning. Place was a bit busy, which I thought was a good sign, so I waited in line and perused the selection - everything looked fantastic! Fluffy looking glazed donuts, a nice assortment of cake donuts, nice big cinnamon twists, some lemon and raspberry filled donuts...and my fave, plain old fashioned. As the man in front of me was finishing up, the lady behind the counter started complaining that her nose bleeds all the time, gross, but she was wearing gloves so I sort of ignored it and ordered a plain old fashioned, a choc glazed, and a cinnamon twist. Total came up to less then $4, not bad! Then I left...I got in the car and couldn't wait..I broke off a piece of the old fashioned and already knew...it was rock hard and stale. Absolutely gross. SOOO disappointed!!!! The glazed was just ok, I ate about 1/3 before I was totally turned off. I gave the cinnamon twist to a friend and she was less than impressed; didnt even eat half of it. This is a newer donut shop in Empire, and I think many will compare it to the old Taylor Maid donuts down by Bunker Hill. Empire mostly delivers on that promise, and they include hot dogs, chili, and biscuits & gravy to boot. The donuts were fresh and the service was good, even with COVID-19 considerations in effect. read more

I've been to empire Donuts twice now and I love it. The staff was always friendly and loved to chat. Their donut selection is amazing. I could stand in front of the case for days trying to make up my mind. Their donuts taste great, have always been fresh and I love the fact that the owners wife makes a lot of the frosting from scratch! Yum! Plus they have a good cup of jo for a cheap price. Such yummy donuts! Saw this place while vacationing in Charleston and decided to make an early drive one morning to surprise my kids. I'm biased toward a couple of great donut shops in our hometown but these definitely stacked up! Marionberry filled Bismarcks, the Apple fritter, and a raspberry frosted raised donut were standouts from the usuals. Worth a stop for sure. read more

SO GOOD! Marionberry Fritter was amazing. The service was GREAT and every donut we had was delicious! We would go out of our way to drive through Coos Bay again just to get these donuts. Rivals some of our very favorite donut spots in Portland, OR. You should 100% go here. So those that write bad reviews are either lying or are to lazy to go back and tell them.
