I genuinely love this place. The people, the food, I'm a brunch Foodie and I cannot get over how they use vanilla-flavored whip on their hot cocoa/mocha. The only issue I've ever had is that they do not prefer to modify their dishes--for example, I used to prefer potatoes over eggs and the menu is as stated, irreplaceable, as they are a smaller business with specific inventory for each plate. You know that's a big deal for me y'all lol... the cob salad is a favorite of mine and it is oh so Devine, and large! The eggs Benedict are also a favorite, I prefer the vegetarian style...yum yum. Today I will dive into the Huevos Rancheros (meat free) with green sauce. My family is having the club sandwich, bacon cheeseburger, and eggs,bacon,sausage. The fries here are super good and always crispy to perfection. Let's not forget the service. I have never had bad service here. Always prompt,always happy,always good! Bathrooms are clean and so is location. If your looking for a great local stop with quality food I highly recommend this place. THE BEST BISCUITS AND GRAVY IN KERN CO. I'm even comparing them to Mossmans kitchen on Wible in Bakersfield. I worked at a dealership in the Automall, so I know how good Mossmans is. These are fluffy,perfectly baked biscuits, scratch made gravy with real sausage. Now I must confess that the best of all time was from,Cindy's in,East Bako. Made with meat from ham hocks. God bless Ray and Cindy Sanders. No raw flour in the gravy and random big pieces of sausage are clues that the gravy is real. I recommend Henry's as a excellent choice. read more

First time in the area, found this gem on Yelp. Although on their yelp it did not mention if they had curbside or just take out (having a small child I did not want to get out). I called the lady was very friendly stated they did have curbside so I placed my order. She said about 15 mins, it was quicker than that and the food was outstanding !! I got crepes with strawberries, country potatoes, bacon & sausage and everything was so yummy! The portions were too big for one person, we had more than enough. We are new in town and looking for a takeout/delivery breakfast spot. We've ordered from Henry's two days in a row--the exact same breakfasts because they were that good. I love that I can build my own omelette and I have options for how crispy my hash browns get to be. There are a lot of options for sides, including a biscuit! It was a normal day, we literally just asked for pancakes, French toast and two breakfast plates. 40ish minutes went by and nothing. They were packing up orders to go nonstop, our side of the restaurant was full of tables with customers and no food. One waitress said that it was because of Doordash, it felt as doordash is the new priority and customers second. Our waitress asked the kitchen how long before our food came out, it look liked they were didn't have an answer, 40ish minutes waiting and not even an order of pancakes......disappointing read more

My only complaint is parking is very tight and when did a cup of coffee become $3.50 for a cup? you get refills but dang you have to drink many cups to get $3.50 worth. We are often in Tehachapi as it is only 45 minutes from home and we have family up there. Tehachapi doesn't have the greatest selection of eateries and we often end up eating at the same places over and over... Henrys Cafe is clean joint friendly staff. The options are typical of a coffee shop with breakfast items as well as decent enough sammiches and fried foods. It is a small joint but not intimate. It is usually crowded which makes the smallness seem almost claustrophobic. I wouldn't call it a destination but if you are nearby and hungry this joint will do nicely (assuming you don't have to wait to be seated). read more
