Risen Foundation Solutions - Pier installation ready to lift

Krista created a practical project plan tailored to my vision for the future of the property. She explained all aspects fully and responded quickly to multiple contacts from me to ask additional questions. Most of my questions were to compare materials and methods between my top two candidates for the project. I discovered that the items that made the other bid more expensive really made the job easier for their crew, but did not provide greater value to me. I had two crews for my project working inside, placing 7 piers, and outside, placing 18 piers. All the crew members were very quiet, polite and kept things very clean throughout the two days. I appreciate all the hard work done by Chris, Christopher, Justin, Glenn, and Dariun. Jairo, John, Michael, Antonio, Alejandro, and Humberto took extra care to keep everything progressing smoothly while responding to my questions or concerns. I did end up having some plumbing issues that were caused by the foundation lift. This was explained to me in detail before the project. The damage occurred during the lift and not during the preparations by Risen. I was so glad that I had chosen Risen, as I still had funds left for all subsequent repairs. 5-stars!

Monticello Homes - A 112 inch long wooden rod for hanging clothes in the master bedroom closet. WHY cut it into two pieces?

At this point in time, I wish we would have chosen any other builder than Monticello. Going on day…read moreTWO with no AC in our new home. They want us to wait until sometime next week to see IF there will be a new AC unit available. It's a 5 bedroom home with a media room and it's built very cheaply. It's also supposed to be a semi-custom home. Where do I start? 1. Ceiling leaks. We've had 3 ceiling leaks in this new home. Multiple water spots showing possible water damage. They sent two workers to "fix" the leak but have yet to look at the second story leak. A brand new home should not have any ceiling leaks whatsoever. They are also slow to fix this issue as well. No word on when the second story ceiling area will be fixed. They never sent a professional roofer to inspect our roof. They sent 2 guys who spoke a different language so I could not communicate with them. The water spots in the dining room have not been inspected. There will be obvious water damage here because they have not repaired the drywall. They have also not fixed the second story water leak so the next time it rains it will be leaking from there too. 2. Shower leak. The shower has been leaking water since the day we moved in. They have come twice to fix it and I still need to tell them ITS STILL LEAKING. I have a feeling it's a design fail because it should not take this many tries to "fix" it. I have to clean up the floor with a huge towel every time the shower is used. It's also a huge safety issue as one of us could slip on the tile floor. It currently leaks around a liter of water to the floor. If you don't wipe it up then you risk slipping and falling on the tile floor. In a brand new home. 3. The HVAC broke down yesterday and the high was 96 degrees. We have 2 young children in the house and went the ENTIRE DAY with NO AC. Monticello expects us to wait until Monday it see IF they can replace it that day. If not then they "don't know but sometime soon". This is a brand new home. Why did Monticello install a faulty AC Unit? Try going 12 hours in your 2 story home with the high being 96 degrees outside...it's miserable. Then add on trying to go to sleep with 2 young children. This is day two with ZERO AC. 4. They did not add any shelving to the lower part of the closets. So you can hang something but can't put anything on a shelf. This is so inconvenient as of course one needs shelving space in a closet. There's also cracking in the side of the top shelves which shows me it wasn't installed well. 5. The glass in our shower is not sealed correctly. This is very poor workmanship. I noticed it is not hinged to the wall and it makes me nervous that it's not 100% safe. I am angry that we are having all these issues with our new home. Your home is one of the biggest financial investments you will make, and the builder should be doing it safely and correctly. Monticello has not built our home the way it should have been built and that's without all these major issues I mentioned above. If any of my friends or family ask me I will tell them, DO NOT BUY A HOME WITH MONTICELLO.

    Texas ADA Home Remodeling

    Texas ADA Home Remodeling

We used Texas ADA Home remodeling to repair a cracked sidewalk at our home. Our project involved…read moreremoving and replacing a large section of our concrete sidewalk that measured approximately 50 ft long and 7 ft wide (including the curb along the outside length of this surface). Mr. Valdez explained that it was difficult to determine exactly why the cracks had occurred but we could see that the entire sidewalk was pulling away from where it joined the house. We soon agreed that it would be best to remove all of the damaged area in order to correctly identify the cause of the concrete movement. Once that issue was found and resolved, the sidewalk would be replaced. After the damaged concrete was removed, it was easy to see that a huge hole was lying beneath the foundation of a new addition made to our home in 2014. The area affected was caused by a plumbing repair that was necessary during this previous construction project. The plumbing repair required excavation underneath the then newly poured sidewalk. After the plumbing repair was complete, the excavation team failed to fill up the hole properly. It didn't take long for the lack of solid fill to allow enough movement to cause the sidewalk to crack and pull away from the house. Naturally, the 2014 contractor and crew that caused this problem in the first place were unwilling to honor any warranties related to this matter. Mr. Valdez resolved the problem by filling the hole with the proper materials thereby eliminating the possibility of any future damage from this issue. Once that was done, the sidewalk repair continued without interruption. This project only took about 7 days from start to finish but the relief we feel in escaping what could have been serious foundation damage will last us a lifetime! Mr. Valdez personally inspected various steps of the construction process as it progressed from day to day. The Texas ADA office staff were always prompt and polite when responding to our questions. The on-site construction crew conducted themselves professionally and remained within the expected work schedules. Most people reading this review will understand that concrete work requires quality performance because it is very hard, labor intensive and requires a highly skilled craftsmen to manage it...especially during the extremely hot,Texas summer. Our experience represents the commitment that Mr. Valdez and the entire Texas ADA team has to such performance and to the price, terms and time frame detailed in their remodeling contract. We want to express our sincere appreciation to Mr. Valdez and his complete team of professionals for the beautiful job they did in repairing the damage at our home.

Arturo is very knowledgeable about ADA requirements and construction in general. We are very happy with the results!
