Ralph came out ahead of time in an emergency and completely took care of our problem. He was kind, courteous, and knowledgeable.

We've used Baker Septic Service twice now (we moved to Spring Branch in early 2021), and both times they could have easily "upcharged" me with what they came out to check and fix. Both times the technician explained what was wrong and showed me how to monitor things myself. They are friendly, prompt, and HONEST. I found them through a recommendation online, and they've been great for both visits. If you need a service plan, I'd also recommend them for that - but in a pinch, they're the best. When Colin arrived, he was efficient and friendly, and he patiently answered all of my questions. I was getting grumpy from not being able to take a shower or do laundry for several days. Does not include "clean-up" in their contracts. Be sure to clarify any dealings with this company because this issue cost me an additional $1200 on top of my septic "install" contract. Since I financed the septic install, the additional $1200 had to come out of pocket - a huge expense I had not budgeted. Having had a nearly 8 year relationship with this company, I had never missed a payment on any service they hired them for. Still, they insisted I make cash payments on my balance instead of adding the additional cost on to an upcoming job I was planning on hiring them for. So, I will be making $25 payments (which will take ages to pay off) and hiring another company instead. Apparently their business experience failed them in the understanding that it's much easier to keep a customer than to gain a new one. I have no less than $30,000 in septic installs coming up for my new business over the next two years (the more expensive one within the next two months). Way to go, Baker - you cost yourself all that work (and the maintenance contracts that would follow), not to mention the maintenance on my two existing properties, by not being willing to work with a customer you've had for nearly 8 years on an item you shouldn't have screwed up to begin with. Who thinks a job is completed before the waste from the project is cleaned up?! read more

We called Baker Septic Service on a Friday, they made time for us and worked us in the next morning (Saturday). Maintenance Technician Dan showed up on time, and he explained what was fixed with simple instructions on how I could handle some issues on my own in the future. Dan could have easily overcharged me, but instead he was very gracious with his time. We're new to San Antonio (Spring Branch), and our family is very grateful to find a company we can recommend to others. I don't write many reviews, but Baker Septic Service deserves a good one. Baker septic has been my go to septic company. 1st when I bought my house, I hired them to inspect the septic tank before closing. Good thing I did, they found Lantana roots growing into the tanks. The seller had to fix. Then I used them a few years later when my Aerator went out. Came out promptly and fixed and taught me how to fix it myself in the future. Good to know, but I'll be calling them again if I need to. Very friendly staff and technician. Can't recommend them enough. read more

Amazing! Called on Friday night and out Saturday morning. Spent many hours teaching us about our system and helping us understand what to look for to signal trouble. Got our system in working order so we signed up for a maintenance contract. They ended up cutting us a deal since going with the contract. Loved our whole experience! Collin, tech, was polite, explained what and why he was doing along the way. He also explained how and why the septic was doing what it was doing. Superb job! Bill Baker just put in my septic system. Excellent job, all done in 4 days! My property is on a rocky hillside and Bill used the material from the excavation to fill out and level my yard, creating a terraced effect. He is an artist with a backhoe! Highly recommend! read more

I called baker septic after hours and reached the owners wife who was happy to get me scheduled. Mrs. Baker was polite and informative. I had a couple of questions Mrs. Baker could not answer so she put her husband on which is the gentleman that comes out to your house to pump your septic. Bill Baker came out to my home on time to pump my septic and of course I was running late to the house and I did not have the septic uncovered. Bill went out of his way to help me uncover the septic so that he could pump the septic. He did not charge me extra he actually charge me less than what he originally quoted me over the phone. This has never happened to me dealing with any contractor. I would recommend bill to all of my friends and family. I wish all contractors conducted themselves the way Bill and his wife did.
