Donna is my favorite person on the Pro Desk. She researches and always has good suggestions on alternative products when the one I want is no longer available. I always ask for her, since I hate running a training program for the newbies. She also suggests products on sale. I just bring her my measurements and let her know what I am building, and she helps with material takeoffs too. She has a great grasp of construction and knows her products very well.

Luckily the tile was in stock and The employee helping us went to go get another box off the shelf so we didn't have to enter the store. But I feel the guy was really careful when he was putting the box of the tiles in our truck. I don't think he broke them. I like their holiday sales . I always wake up early on Black Friday because they have great prices on poinsettias for $1.99 each and wreaths for $7.99 can't beat that. The reason I get up at 6 AM is poinsettias and wreaths run out pretty quickly.

I had written a complaint directly to corporate headquarters detailing a specific incident that in my opinion completely exposed the blatant discrimination I was subjected to at this particular store and was amazed at the attention my complaint received. I received a call from the store manager and at that point it became clear to me where the negative culture originated. I scratched that store off my shopping list and vowed to never shop there again. Then came a visit to the exact same store years later and the experience of being helped by one of their associates, Arlene. You will see a second review on this young lady. I wish business had 100 of these young ladies. Her people skills were amazing, she was very knowledgeable, courteous, polite, and knew that store like the back of her hand. She knew where every tool was located and walked you right to it. You can tell when a person loves the job they are doing and that reflected on her demeanor. I asked to speak to the store manager and complimented him and her on complete turn around and positive image the created for this store. It is amazing how one outstanding employee can change a negative experience. I want to commend Harbor Freight Tools for their attention to its' customers and wish them continued success. I returned to that store again two days ago and was impressed by their attention to customers. I want to thank my favorite associate, Arlene, once again. We bought a 30" Toro Timemaster last weekend and mowed the same day we bought it, it worked well…read morefor the front yard but when we moved to the back yard it started smoking and making a really awful grinding noise, we inspected the belts and blades and everything and saw nothing wrong, but regardless we just paid $1700 for this mower and shouldn't be having any issues with it on the first use. I called and asked them what we need to do to return it and they said as long as we have the receipt and empty the gas, so that's exactly what we did. Brought it back one week later and they said the return policy for gas mowers was 48 hours. I said no I just called and they did not tell me that, and ofc I didn't get anyone's names. I looked up their return policy and it didn't say anywhere on there about 48 hours so I tried to tell her and she said "you have to dig for it". Then she tells us to bring it inside and I said no I'm in the loading zone and we need help, and some guy worker came out and just manhandled the mower out of the back before we could even help, and he then explained the reason behind the 48 hour policy saying they "constantly change it" due to people using mowers and bringing them back just to get a free mow or whatever and then he insinuated that we were returning it because we "didn't like the color", so we told him it's issues and he said that they would call the manager to meet us at customer service, so we go up there and the lady at the register starts doing the return and the system lets her do it, all before a manager or anyone came over. And instead of exchanging the faulty mower for a new one, we went to Home Depot. AND Home Depot did the same thing!! Anyways, here's the screenshot of their return policy. These employees need to educate themselves or abide by the written policy on your website.

Did Brad have several of the same product, like say, an overstock? Look HD can absolutely return broken box items to the vendors and get credit, once HD doesn't get credit because of destroyed merchandising not the item but the box, they get partial credit and write off the rest. Mr Brad cannot afford to return to vendor for partial credit. Please remember local businesses do not have the 'funds' corporate have. Please be patient.

Today though, I would like to give a special shout out to Jonathan Moore, a delivery driver that delivered our lumber. My wife is a 100% disabled veteran and unable to help carry anything. The boards were 16 feet long and Jonathan saw me struggling to get them into place (about 50' from our normal drop spot) and he carried the boards from the truck all the way to the building site and then helped me turn them the right way to make it much easier for me to continue my project.
