But I feel the guy was really careful when he was putting the box of the tiles in our truck. I don't think he broke them. I like their holiday sales . I always wake up early on Black Friday because they have great prices on poinsettias for $1.99 each and wreaths for $7.99 can't beat that. The reason I get up at 6 AM is poinsettias and wreaths run out pretty quickly.

I had written a complaint directly to corporate headquarters detailing a specific incident that in my opinion completely exposed the blatant discrimination I was subjected to at this particular store and was amazed at the attention my complaint received. I received a call from the store manager and at that point it became clear to me where the negative culture originated. I scratched that store off my shopping list and vowed to never shop there again. Then came a visit to the exact same store years later and the experience of being helped by one of their associates, Arlene. You will see a second review on this young lady. I wish business had 100 of these young ladies. Her people skills were amazing, she was very knowledgeable, courteous, polite, and knew that store like the back of her hand. She knew where every tool was located and walked you right to it. You can tell when a person loves the job they are doing and that reflected on her demeanor. I asked to speak to the store manager and complimented him and her on complete turn around and positive image the created for this store. It is amazing how one outstanding employee can change a negative experience. I want to commend Harbor Freight Tools for their attention to its' customers and wish them continued success. I returned to that store again two days ago and was impressed by their attention to customers. I want to thank my favorite associate, Arlene, once again. The generator stumbled the entire time almost stalled repeatedly while trying to drive a ground rod. Went to return and was surprised to find out they have a 20% restocking fee. After some confusion amongst ourselves, we just decided to go to the Schertz location to purchase the model that was sold out at this store. Personally, I don't blame the sales guy. I just think that communication on store policies between associates should have matched. We don't know which associate was incorrect. - overall store kudos to Lowe's for acknowledging their veterans with a discount and designated parking areas. My father is a veteran who served before I was born. He hardly ever used his past service for a discount until a long -time family member recently told us of the many benefits he was missing -out on by obtaining his old papers and taking them to the DMV... (this rightfully designates my father as a veteran on his license). fast forward to current day- now that my father is elderly and has health issues, the front parking areas next to the handicap parking, always ensures we have convenient parking options. The veteran store "discount" only applies to non -sale items but it helps. Every little bit helps. We are grateful to any establishment that offers veteran perks. Side note: this particular store is much busier than the Schertz location. (The difference was night and day. I'll review that location later... But it was so quiet and less busy than this store. Did Brad have several of the same product, like say, an overstock? Look HD can absolutely return broken box items to the vendors and get credit, once HD doesn't get credit because of destroyed merchandising not the item but the box, they get partial credit and write off the rest. Mr Brad cannot afford to return to vendor for partial credit. Please remember local businesses do not have the 'funds' corporate have. Please be patient.

Today though, I would like to give a special shout out to Jonathan Moore, a delivery driver that delivered our lumber. My wife is a 100% disabled veteran and unable to help carry anything. The boards were 16 feet long and Jonathan saw me struggling to get them into place (about 50' from our normal drop spot) and he carried the boards from the truck all the way to the building site and then helped me turn them the right way to make it much easier for me to continue my project.
