Waited to write this review to make sure the AC unit was working properly through the rest of this…read morebrutal summer/fall. One Saturday during our 100-degree summer (8/24/2024) I noticed the AC was not cooling. It would come on but was not very cold. I called the company that originally installed the unit, and they couldn't get out for about 2 weeks. I then remembered that my plumbing company recently opened the HVAC side of their business, so on a whim I called them up. They sent Robert M out that day to diagnose the problem. I was so appreciative! He was great! Very patient, informative and thorough. I appreciate his demeanor and the time he spent looking into the issue. I believe he was new to the company, and they made a smart choice with him. Great customer service. My evap coil needed replaced (and he noticed a troubling dent in my outside line). He investigated my warranty and found out the parts were covered as the unit is only 5 years old. We planned to touch base that Monday. Monday the company communicated that they were trying to find the replacement parts. Aliza and Cathy in the office were very helpful and I knew they were on top of it. I did call several times to get clarification on the quote, check the status and to schedule the appointment and I never felt like I was a bother. The office staff were friendly and professional. They were able to find the part and work out the contract with the dealer and get me on the schedule for the next day 8/27/2024. Robert M and Andrew T showed up with the part. They worked with my schedule, and they did a late day install for me. The HOTTEST part of the day. I know it was brutal up in that attic, but they were all smiles. They informed me of the steps they were doing, what they were checking, etc. I found them to be very knowledgeable, polite and efficient. Don't let Andrew's baby face fool you, he's been doing this a while and knows his stuff! They installed the new coil and fixed the dented line outside. I have done several reviews (as they are my pluming company of choice as well), I will always say that I find their prices to be on the high side (maybe this is something they can work on) ...but I also realize that I am paying for their expertise, knowledge and the great customer experience. To me that makes up for some companies that will charge less but their service is terrible (no call/no show, can't get ahold of anyone, attitude, shoddy work, etc.). I hope they realize the customer focus and skillful service is what sets them apart. Please don't lose that (do they read these reviews!?)! I do refer / recommend Roadrunner Plumbing (and now air) to all my friends and colleagues.

Well darn! I should have read the reviews before calling Roadrunner Pluming back to my house to…read morefind the water leak that we have or should I say had cause my husband found it and fixed it. I will say their plumbers are very professional and I even enjoy their cute little bios that's they text you - very nice touch. That amounts to nothing really if you don't complete the job that is paid for. They did a water leak inspection and charged us $350 to tell us that the leak was likely on our water softer line somewhere. So we called Puragan who quickly came out next day and took a look. They also charged me $0 dollars. It wasn't their lines but they found a line that Roadrunner did not and bam! Guess what we found? Wet ground and eventually the leak. It was on the complete opposite side of the pool. No where near where they said the leak was likely at. We won't be needing a plumber now cause we can fix it with a few parts and some of our own labor. I want to be fair with this review. I do have a very large ranch style house with a pool. It's old and complicated but we love it and are doing our best to bring it back to its former beauty. I'm also not looking for the cheapest option. We just want to hire contractors that give us the quality work that we pay for. Not only that, if you do a good job we will highly recommend your company to others and you will have a repeat customer for as long as we live in SA. We are no contractors but grew up poor in Alaska making us very capable and handy to complete "do it yourself projects" but we are also smart enough to know what things require a professional. When I hire someone, that's all I ask.

We had an entire new HVAC system installed after our 2013 model died. Brandon Cerda came out and…read moredid a great job of evaluating our old system and giving us options for a new system. He was very knowledgeable, professional and polite. We had a conference call with his manager Josh Estrada. Mr Estrada did a very good job of explaining the loan details on a recorded portion of the call. We had emphasized our need for a 20-year warranty for the heat exchanger, coils, compressor and parts because we did not want to have to repeat this in 10 years should the new system fail. I thought we made this very clear however after listening to the recorded call a week later, I saw that the heat exchanger does have a 20 year warranty, but the compressor and parts only 10 years. Some miscommunication perhaps on both ends. We went with the 3rd tier option because we thought it has a 20 year warranty on everything. It's energy efficient and eligible for the CPS Energy rebate. The system cost over $22,000 which was about $8k-$10k more than the Tier 2 option. The system itself works great (Goodman model) and is a huge improvement. The pull down attic door/ladder had to be removed to fit the new system in. I was informed of this at the end of the day. I would have approved it regardless but it would have been better if notified in advance. There were a few details that needed to be addressed such as adding a little more insulation to the main compressor line and setting up having a 3rd party carpenter to come out, reinstall the attic ladder/door and repair the wooden trim. It was frustrating in that I had made several calls to various people, texted and sent emails with little or no reply until about a week later. The attic ladder/door was later installed and looks great. There was also miscommunication in that I was told a QCI supervisor would be out to inspect the new system. I had a scheduled appointment and waited several hours. No one ever showed up. When I called about it they said I didn't need it because we live outside of the San Antonio limit. Then later someone said they were going to send the inspector. He showed up and gave me the requested paperwork I needed to complete the CPS Energy rebate application, and was going to leave without inspecting the system. I had him inspect it and was told that everything "checked out 100%." Brandon Cerda, the initial technician who assessed our old system and went over new options, was very helpful in getting a loan from Good Leap since this was such a huge investment. He was great in that he showed me a photo of the attic unit that had flooded the drip pan with oil and refrigerant. He said the outside compressor was still ok. Ironically the prior company which gave me an estimate never mentioned this and said I had a bad compressor. The point being that Goettl is very honest, knowledge, thorough and detailed in their work. The installers Matthew and Josh (a different Josh) did a very good job. It was an all day project. Josh did a great followup job in showing me the attic unit, answering all of my concerns, adding insulation to the outside compressor line, and going over routine home maintenance such as changing the HVAC filter and adding fluid to the attic unit's IV Bag (a device that injects a small amount of a special fluid daily to help keep the lines clear. Ignacio Hernandez (goes by Nacho) was helpful in calling about a week later to look into the 20-year warranty issue. He later sent an email with the recorded phone call where I heard Josh the manager mention 10 years warranty for the compressor. The recorded portion of the call did not initiate until after my wife dropped off the conference call. Although Josh was right, I still feel like he knew our need for a 20 year warranty because we spoke about it at length. The $22k HVAC system was at the end limit of our budget. We may had gone with the lower option if this fact had truly set in my mind. Regardless, it was a done deal. I researched and found after the fact that 10 years is standard for a compressor warranty unless you purchase an expensive 3rd party extended warranty. Call it a life lesson on my part. Goettl was very good in registering the furnace, compressor and coils with the manufacturer Goodman (this has to be done within 60 days of installation in Texas to get the full warranties as described 20/10/10). Overall Goettl AC & Plumbing did a wonderful job. Everyone was polite, professional and was not pushy regarding the sale of the HVAC system. Prior to this I got an estimate from another contractor and did not like their aggressive sales tactics. The new system comes with a 1 year Goettl service membership. I had actually paid for this the day prior to the installation so they extended it to 2 years. Having the membership will save you money regarding maintenance of the system. We also received over a $900 credit since we had prior repairs with Goettl and a 5% First Responders dis

Enrolled into their stupid monthly plan and spent a lot of money in 2025 on a whole new system to be treated this shitty I scheduled this appointment last week and made it very clear that the technician had to come in the morning. I rearranged my schedule specifically for this appointment from work! At 11:23 a.m. today, when no one had arrived, I contacted them AGAIN and reminded them that this was supposed to be a morning appointment and that I absolutely had to leave my house by 5:00 p.m. I was reassured, "No worries, the technician will be there." Well, it is now after 4:00 p.m., and guess what? NO TECHNICIAN. I told them MULTIPLE times that I had to leave by 5:00. Apparently, Champion Home Services thinks a "morning appointment" means keeping a customer sitting around their house ALL DAY wondering whether someone is ever going to show up. Now, after wasting essentially my entire day, I'm being told I have to reschedule for Wednesday As if I could take another day off work. That is very disrespectful. So rescheduled for Thursday and once again, I have had to tell them that the appointment MUST BE IN THE MORNING. At this point, why should I have any confidence that they will honor that appointment either? This is completely unacceptable, disrespectful, and incredibly poor customer service. If you cannot honor an appointment window, then DON'T SCHEDULE IT. If you are running hours behind, PICK UP THE PHONE AND COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR CUSTOMER. It really isn't that difficult. My time is just as valuable as theirs. I should not have to spend an entire day waiting for a company that assured me someone was coming, only to have nobody show up and then expect me to rearrange another day because they couldn't manage their own schedule. How would you like to go sit in a doctor's office and tell him you need a morning appointment and left sitting there all day till 4 o'clock with no communication? You would lose your shit! Clearly, your company has gotten too big for their britches, and you don't give a shit about customers and time management
