Update 11.16.2022 - I want to reiterate we loved their work but again their communication is just…read morenot great. Here is an example of it; after I wrote my review here is how (text messages) he approached me. Attacking a customers character is never good First off I have to say the work and speed that their crew delivered was great. We love everything that they did for us. We had a number of requests for them to: 1. Build a deck near our pool with cover 2. Replace our fencing to hide the pool equipment 3. New fence towards the back of our property In the photos you can see how great it turned out. Now where they lost their stars is in communication and dealing with conflicts. 1st issue - We had a dumpster provided that they subcontracted and had a number of issues. James gave my husband the phone number to contact dumpster company and "deal with the issue". As a customer all issues pertaining to a subcontractor that THEY hired should have been handled by them and not us. 2nd issue - some of the fence posts they installed warped and we asked for them to come repair. We had to text and call about 10 times! We were given dates that someone would show up and then no one showed up and no communication about 5 times. Continuous calling and text had to occur with the same result. Then random out of the blue one day someone showed up to fix the fence and once again no communication to inform us they were coming nor after to check how the repair went. This process was extremely frustrating and clear that dealing with conflicts isn't their forte.

In the end, the roof did not comply with code so I called Simple Creek to come out and see what could be done to be in compliance. Josh and Richard performed their magic on the top part of the deck and it looked so beautiful, I knew I had to redo the bottom as well. Josh's creativity was a plus and the quality of their work is exceptional. If you're thinking about hiring based simply on the lowest estimate, think twice. I love my new deck! Thanks guys!

This was the worst experience I've ever had with a contractor and would advise everyone to avoid…read morehim. He never showed up and always had an excuse. He wanted money even though he was not entitled to it under our agreement. He's a personable guy and I was foolish enough to let him have money not yet earned with the result that he spent his time elsewhere, not here. The work that did get done was done by some guy named Christian, and almost everything Christian did had to be redone. But Josh didn't show up to do it. Finally he told me that Christian wasn't working for him anymore because he screwed too much stuff up. Christian also showed up and told me he hadn't been paid for his time. That's when I learned that they hired him to work on my job and didn't bother to supervise. The final straw for me was when Josh demo'd the wood and tile floors. He brought in a big machine to take up the old material, and damaged the front door and put a lot of holes in the wall. It was then another week before he showed up again to grind the old mortar and glue, but he brought two vacuums that didn't work. Since he didn't have a working vacuum there was about a half inch of dust everywhere and he didn't show up to get the dust up for most of a week and I ended up doing it myself. When the dust was gone it was clear that he couldn't see the floor and so couldn't see that there were mounds of old unground mortar everywhere. When he didn't show up for another week to finish the job, I'd had enough and fired him. We were 10 weeks into a project that should have taken 3 or 4 works at most and that he repeatedly promised they'd be going full blast on the next week. Never did. The only thing he ever did was ask for money. Fyi, I am not overly critical of contractors. To the contrary, my electrician was Gilbert Rico and he was always on time and did it right. Michael Archibald did a great job on wall board, including repair of all the damage done by Simple Creek and was willing to come back right away for any needed touch up. Cinar Interiors who did my floors were great to work with. Over and above the quality of the floors, Cinar introduced me to Tony Gomez to paint and Tony and Tristan Ruiz for door installation and trim work. They did great work and went out of their way to get me into the house. Because of Simple Creek, I only had 6 weeks before I had to get out of my other house. Once Cinar and their contacts got in, they were on my side and got me in on time even though they had to do or redo the Simple Creek work plus new cabinets, appliances, paint, floors, doors, trim, countertops, vanities, accessories. toilets, sinks and a lot more. The right contractors are the key to a successful project. I picked the wrong one. I am just very happy I fired Josh when I did. I wish I had done it sooner. Cinar and the others then saved my bacon. I didn't get to do some of the things that were planned, but the new guys delivered a result I'm happy with.

Replacing a fence may not be the…read morebiggest project, but there are so many considerations, especially when you share a fence with three neighbors. Coordination was very important. So I sent out my project request through Yelp and this company was one of the responses I received. Scheduling a visit proved to be challenging. Their AI bot was responding to the point that I was frustrated. Eventually I answered that their scheduling didn't work for me. At that point, a person intervened and told me the AI bot took over and gave me a date that worked for me. She said a confirmation was forthcoming. When I responded ok, the bot seemed to take over again. I believe the date and time I was given was a Thursday at noon because the Wednesday at noon was unavailable. But I didn't receive a confirmation. So Wednesday comes around and I'm not expecting anyone. I'm working from home in pajamas when the doorbell rings. I scramble to get dressed when I realize this person isn't leaving and might be one of the companies I scheduled. I came outside and received a friendly greetings. I apologized for being delayed and explained that I was expecting them the next day. I opened up the gate and we spent about ten minutes going over what I wanted. I was advised that I would be sent an estimate probably the following day. I never received an estimate. The writing was all over the walls. The people I dealt with were nice, but the situation with the AI bot and not getting a quote back, unfortunately didn't inspire confidence.
