I needed my computer repaired was told to bring it in. Screen was going back when gaming. They repaired or updated not sure which but said it was ready. Got it back same problem, took it back again they stated they couldn't find anything wrong with it I still have the same problem. I asked if they could service it in my house they said yes but would be charged a service charge I asked them to wave that charge because I had spent 90.00 dollars already and had nothing to show for it. The receptionist said she would have the owner call me well that never happened after two calls I made So anyway I guess I should have just sent them 90 bucks and not gone through the effort of taking it in twice. read more

They literally refused me service because they wouldn't work around their "process." All I need is my computer taken apart and dusted it's a Mac laptop. I called a week before I needed it done and they said I'd have to go somewhere else if I needed a guarantee. They don't take appointments and it's "first come first serve." This is my work computer so I'd need it back same day. Too bad they had good reviews but I see so many tech places stuck in process and turn away business and referrals as a result. read more

Took my laptop in to have looked at. Hard drive was bad, so they were able to clone the drive before it went totally out and got me back up and running. They have this new service called "The Tech Butler" which will help me with future issues before they happen. read more

Rescheduled appt twice only to not show up. Terrific service NOT When we called Patrick claimed he did not have a good number to reach me at to reschedule again. Interesting since he has called my cell not once not twice but 3 times even talked to me at length to say the owner Matt Hopkins lives a few streets away from me. Not sure if that's true but sheesh for a small company they must have to much revenue to just flake out on agreed upon jobs. This is proof if you want something done just do it yourself. Call your provider and do a tiny bit of research on YouTube and you will get all the support to connect a Nighthawks for free. In the end saved us $200 but time is precious a call would have been priceless. Not to mention good manners. read more

If I could give 6 stars I would. These guys are the best! We've been in three times now for replacement phone screens. First two times were easy and quick. No problems. On Monday, I took my son's phone in (for yet another replacement screen... Arrg!). Not only did the tech immediately get to work on fixing the screen, but he also took the extra time to try something else when the screen replacement didn't work right away (needed some sort of extra cable replacement). Mind you, I showed up 20 minutes before closing time expecting to just drop it off. Fast forward to today. The screen was doing something really funky so we had to take it back... Again. This time we just dropped it off, but were told upon pick up that it took 4 replacement screens to finally get the crazy thing to work right!! Impeccable customer service, local, and reasonably priced. 6 stars! read more

We are winter Texans, staying in New Braunfels for 3 months. Our laptop lost its internet. I called on Matt at The Tech Doctor. He worked very hard to get it to restore but something is wrong with the hard drive. He did not give up. With a suggestion of purchasing a antenna with a USB plug in, he installed the devise onto the laptop. He got it to run perfectly. Plus they cleaned out all of the viruses (and there a lot of them). I forgot to mention that our laptop is about 14 years old...he did not just tell me to trash the unit but worked tirelessly to do would he could do to get it operating. These guys are great. I had 2 MacBooks crash on me in the last half of 2015 - my primary 13" crashed in September and my backup 15" crashed in December (thanks Apple). I took the 15" in to the Tech Doctor and they weren't able to fix it, but they only kept it for a few days and charged me about $70. Throughout the whole process the folks at their shop kept me in the loop with what was going on with my machine and ultimately apologized for not being able to bring it back to life. So then I gave them my 13" - they had it back and running in a little over a week. The owner even came out to my house to guide me in speeding up my hard drive. While he was there he asked about the 15" and said "give it to me again, I won't charge you, but I just hate to lose". Pretty amazing service. It's hard to find good, personal customer service these days. The Tech Doctor folks took great care of me and solved my desperate technical issue so I could get back to work. read more

I'd give them additional 5 bonus stars if I could. My high end laptop had a damaged power port...I use this machine for work so it was important that it was fixed as quickly as possible. Jake took my machine at 4:15 pm, and by 6 pm had it ready for me to get. All of this with outstanding customer service, friendly staff, and a fair price. I have had the opportunity to take many items ranging from iPhones to Laptop's to The -Tech Doctor. I have never been disappointed and I appreciate how quickly they return the products to me. I took my laptop here because of the reviews I saw here. They all must be lies and from the staff because on the week following Thanksgiving I took my laptop in and had to call 12 times to get it fixed. Once I received it back I used the laptop 1 time closed it and left it sitting on my desk. The next morning the same problem occurred again. Now it's been 3 weeks not 1 person in this business establishment has had the descenty to even call me "the customer" to follow up and let me know what is going on. When I asked if the computer was ready the smart ass remark the employee gave me was "we've had a few holidays recently" after a 10 minute hold the owner told his employer to tell us that he "thinks" the screen needs to be replaced and they are not sure and don't want to pay $350 on a fix that may not work.... Hmmmm so you have known this for 3 weeks yet you never called me. These people are not knowledgable, they need more education and training. Take your business else where. I gave this place 2 chances to do the right thing and both times same outcome. Poor service and customer service. I would have never written this review if someone would have called me and followed up. read more

If I could give it less than one star I would: I took my iPhone 5 to get fixed on Friday--the screen was shattered and it needed to be replaced. I called them before hand to find out the cost etc. At the time I drop the phone, they tell me it won t be ready until Monday, depending on whether or not they have a tech come in on Saturday. Also, that they would call me to let me know when it would be ready. On Monday, at 12 noon, my husband calls to find out the status of the repairs on my phone. They say they just now start working on it. At 3:30, no call from the Tech Doctor , nothing, so we head out there to pick up the phone before closing. Once we get there, they tell us that the owner must not have done inventory, because we don t have a screen for your phone at hand, and it will take until Wednesday or Friday this week to get fixed ... Seriously??? It took them THREE days to figure out they didn t have screen?? And after keeping my phone for three whole days they won t fix it for at least another three to five days????? What kind of business is this???? STAY. AWAY. read more
