Jaeza is a vibrant Gem & the perfect person for the Henna Shoppe. Her expertise is way beyond her "millennium" years, which impressed me more. In my seasoning years, I've been getting in-tuned & meditating more & crystals have been a necessary, daily component. As Jaeza showed me around, she educated me the same. & not once did she try to upsell, even though I was in joyful spending mode with almost everything I saw for. Age is nothing but a number, yet Jaeza's energy, vibrations & wonderful customer service was such a blessing to embrace. I picked up some Chakra Incense to sage my new crystals - Clear Crystal & Howlite - with picking up some more Tiger Eye & Aventurine. For me, the Chakra & regular crystals are very powerful for my healing, restoration & energy. Jaeza mentioned that for some crystals can strengthen your Aura & to protect you from negative energy. To share: Top of Head - Crown Chakra - Rock Quartz (My favorite) Forehead - Third Eye Chakra - Amethyst (My favorite) Throat - Throat Chakra - Sodalite Heart - Heart Chakra - Green Fluorite Navel - Solar Plexus Chakra - Tiger's Eye (My favorite) Pelvic Area - Sacral Chakra - Red Aventurine Groin &/or Feet Area - Root Chakra - Red Jasper Besides the enormous selection of all things crystals, this Bohemian-style boutique offers textiles, music, jewelry, clothing, books, tapestries, sage needs, & wellness products. The majority of the products are from local artisans. I highly recommend you stop by the Henna Shoppe & enjoy the journey...especially with Jaeza. read more

Excellent service/friendly, beautiful clothes, great prices. At the moment, buy two,get two.

I'm a fool for not getting our host's name, but I must say he was a GEM! Not only was he able to do simple henna for my 3 daughters and me because the regular artist wasn't in until Saturday (after we would be home from our vacation), but when one of my daughters accidentally bumped hers before it was dry, he repaired and added a little more to it for no additional charge. Thank you SO MUCH for your kindness and service. The mom with 3 girls from Colorado. read more

This place is hilarious. There were "fortitude"rocks-or similar named-with what looked like spray painted rocks that had lesson cards on fortitude, which you need plenty of to be stupid enough to buy those rocks. My favorite though-pictured-were the $10 bird feathers called feather fans. read more

Do not go for eyebrows unless you want to leave looking like you sharpies them on. Very bad experience and left looking terrible. I got a thread and tint and never in my life have I ever experienced such bad customer service. I expressed that I was unhappy with the results and instead of trying to fix it I was told that she never has been told that someone wasn't happy with the results. Now I'm home scrubbing my pitch black boxy eyebrows off and it's not coming off. Mind you I'm sandy blonde and now have boxy uneaven black eyebrows. read more

They scammed me. $90 for a $12 singing bowl that had a chip in it so it didn't even work. The employees were horrible and not reasonable at all. I am extremely dissatisfied. read more

You know, this place used to be great. You come in and get a nice henna tattoo that stayed nice, and it was done by nice artists. I am not bashing on the artists, I'm sure they're lovely people, but the henna quality has gone down. I got henna cones from this location a couple of days ago because I was in a pinch and ran out of my own batch, and after applying it like I should and keeping it on for a little over 5 hours, this was the result. The dark henna tattoo above was from a batch I mixed myself and did A WEEK ago. Henna quality is not good. It smelled a little off, incredibly runny, and it leaked out of the top of the cone as I was using it. I'm disappointed for sure. read more

In preparation for my wedding, I was looking for a local henna artist who could do the difficult job of 'filling in' my existing half-sleeve tattoo, and extend it to my wrist in the most natural, elegant way possible. Yelp led me to Henna Shoppe, and I'm so glad it did! The owner responded to my messages quickly and asked for photos of my arm. She said she could do it no problem, just free-styling, and gave me a great quote. (In the weeks leading up to my wedding, this felt like a large victory). We scheduled a test sitting to see how the ink would look, because we used the jagua kind, which takes a few days to develop but then looks bright and blends in well with tattoo ink. For my test day, one of the girls in the shop assisted me and was very kind. The store worked around my packed wedding week schedule, and when the day came for my real appointment (3 days before wedding to allow time to develop), I was SHOCKED to find the owner herself had arrived to do the job herself! WOW. What a joy it was to watch a pro in action. She effortlessly designed geometrics and flowers into my arm. It is clear that she has done many weddings before. My niece and bridesmaid got small matching tattoos as well, and loved them. Overall my henna became a highlight of the wedding, and I received compliments all day. I am even using the photos as a basis for how I want to eventually extend that part of my sleeve tattoo. And as if that was not enough, the store itself is a gold mine. I had spent months thinking about what to get my friends who were traveling far for the wedding, and I found every single gift in that store, from precious stones to dream catchers and long flowy dresses. I will try to post photos of my arm above. Thank you to the whole staff for our wonderful experience!! read more

Sadly, I have to write a bad review. This used to be a very inviting and friendly shop but whoever was in charge the day I purchased incense gave incredibly bad customer service. The only service she provided was to ring my purchase up then proceeded to visibly get upset that I did not tip her for ringing me up (they have a tip option on the screen). It was so evident that my daughter even mentioned it on the way out of the store. I unfortunately will not be returning and will shop elsewhere... to note, I have been a long time customer. read more

Oh my goodness I have not been in the Scottsdale Fashion Square mall for a few years and it's nice to see this specialty retail store here. We opted to only buy incense this visit but will be back for more! read more

Went in for a cute ankle henna tattoo and was not disappointed. I asked the tattoo artist to create something original yet feminine. I didn't look as she painted it on and was so pleased with the result. While I was walking around the mall, some of the tattoo came off so I popped back in for a touch up no problem. My husband also had his eyebrows threaded for the first time. The woman who did it really knows how tp shape brows while still keeping them natural looking. I was impressed. The shop is cute with clothes, jewelry and knick knacks but they are expensive. Highly recommended this shop for a henna tattoo or eyebrow threading. Staff is nice and helpful. read more

This review is overdue but necessary. The day I moved to town I came here as the reviews were positive. Best choice ever. I will definitely continue to come here. read more

If you're looking for legitimate crystals, do your research before coming into this store. The reps aren't the most knowledgeable and will still try to sell you on something they know nothing about. I get it's their job, but still. When I was told they had citrine, I got excited and took a look at the options the lady showed me. Unfortunately none of them were real citrine, but she was trying very hard to tell me it was pure. I knew just by looking at them that they were actually cooked amethyst, a common cheap practice to sell fake citrine. I don't believe she had ill intentions, I just think the workers don't actually know what they're talking about. It's all sales at the end of the day. Overall its a fun shop to grab beautiful crystals and trinkets from! Just know what you're looking for before going in. read more

I'm new to the area and have been on the search for someone I can trust with my eyebrows and I think I found my place and person. Update - came back 6 days later to get another henna. Hanna did an amazing job and also touched up my first one for me. She was so nice and fun to talk with while she worked. She had such a great attitude and even happily agreed to do henna on 3 young girls who walked in just before closing time So nice to find such great customer service with a smile! I love the Henna Shoppe and will return whenever I'm in Phoenix. Got my henna from Tiffany. She did a great job! I liked how it looked last night, with the henna still on and the glitter she decorated it with. The next day, after brushing all the henna off, the design is a bit too light on the top part for my taste, but it still looks beautiful! read more

Libby was so kind and generous! She was very knowledgeable and made me feel welcome. I will definitely be coming back for more crystals

After enjoying a meal at rainforest cafe me and my bestfriend went wandering around the mall, we walked past this little place a few times before deciding to go in. We were warmly welcomed by a beautiful lady who was hired earlier this week. She was incredibly helpful, she found us pieces that complimented us so well, she brought our stuff to a dressing room and waited just incase we needed a different size. I commented on how living in WA made it difficult to get clothes that don't need a bra, she shared her life hacks with me and we bonded. I couldn't ask for a better shopping experience, and I even walked away with an adorable new shirt. If you see this my queen, we miss you and you deserve the world. read more

Very cool shop that offers henna & eyebrow threading. Threading is an ancient method of hair removal and it really is the most effective method of shaping beautiful eyebrows and removing unwanted facial hair. Unlike other hair removal techniques there is no burning, peeling or chemicals that irritate the skin. Threading is the most precise hair removal method to date and the hair even grows back thinner and slower! My mother told me about threading a long time ago but I still like to get my brows waxed I do like the fact that the hair grows back slower and unlike tweezing where single hairs are pulled out one at a time, threading can remove short lines of hair. Only $10 and they take walk in's Loyalty program = 1 stamp per service for every 5 you get a free $20 henna service or free brow threading Ladies were very professional & friendly ! If you've never tried it before give it a go it's not as painful as waxing The shop does have a very strong scent like hippies that was my least favorite part of the experience Enjoy !! read more

The gist of the review: JESS IS AMAZING! Ask for her - she's talented and an amazing person who really focuses on getting what you want right. A small tip to those who are getting a henna tattoo done: it is a piece of art and you are being quoted for something that takes time, effort, and talent. Don't lowball the price. You're paying for quality :) The full review: I had always been tempted to get a henna tattoo but veered away from it because all the designs I had seen were too girly for my taste. Upon walking in to the shop we were greeted by Jess. I talked to her about my curiosity on how you could make a henna tattoo look a little more masculine. After a 5 minute conversation we moved forward and she did an amazing job on my left hand and even integrated a flower of life symbol into my design (which is a huge win for me - I love that symbol) She took her time and made sure that I liked how the design was looking as she progressed. The end product looked fantastic to me and I've got to say I'm extremely pleased with the results. I'll definitely be doing it again in the future! read more

I wanted to get a large henna tatoo on my stomach for a maternity photo shoot. I called ahead for a price quote and found they were very reasonable. The owner Neelam who has been doing henna art for more than 20 years stayed late just to take on my project. Her work was stunning I returned the next day to add a couple more flowers. These were done by the artist Mercy. Neelam, Mercy, and the manager at the arrowhead store were all so amazing during the time I spent there. I strongly recommend this company for henna art read more

Came here with my boyfriend this last Saturday and walked by the shop as they were finishing up with a large group of young girls. My boyfriend asked me if I'd like to go in and get a henna tattoo for myself. At first I was hesitant, but after his encouragement, we walked in. We were approached by several helpful girls all asking if we needed anything, and we took a look at their book full of designs. The designs are merely helpful suggestions if you have no idea what you want, which was my situation. But one girl also told us that you can tell them how much you would like to spend on the tattoo and the artist will gladly come up with a design for you. So I requested a $20 tattoo with a floral pattern as opposed to a more geometric look. It's been about two days since and the tattoo is still dark and pretty! read more
