Been coming here for 6+ years, this place was really good. I always went to Humay because it seemed like she was the only one that actually listened to how I wanted my brows. About a year ago, Puja started doing my eyebrows. At first she actually did a great job. It wasn't until last month that she ruined my eyebrows. I don't understand what was going on through her head, maybe a bad day? Nevertheless, it gives her no reason to do me the way she did. On top of that, I still tipped her because I felt bad. Very bad! I have very thick eyebrows and now they are thinner than paper ! I'm very very upset I did not pay nothing I use to come here when Sonita and they other young white lady was there and there's only that one old bold head lady she had did this to me years back too and I decided to give her a shot I thought she was better since she was the only one there now and I cried my way out I told I was not going to pay nothing I felt bad but I love my eyebrows and I was growing them out for the longest for her to do that. I was in the area and decided to stop in for a quick threading between appointments. It wasn't my usual place but it was convenient at the time. There was only 1 person working and there was a client already in the chair with 2 people ahead of me waiting. The girl working acknowledged me when I came in and I took a seat. Shortly after another girl walked and and signed in. I asked if I needed to sign in and the woman working said yes, do I went ahead and did it. After waiting for her to finish the 2 people ahead of me, the girl ended up skipping me and going to the person who had walked in after me because I hadn't signed in. I was pretty disappointed to see that the girl didn't ask the person after me to wait since I had been there first and simply didn't realize there was a sign in. I am so devastated about the services I received yesterday afternoon with Koki. I have been coming here for years and throughout the years I had to stop going with one of the ladies because she was thinning out my eyebrows too much. Koki took over and for the most part she was doing a good job. Then I came in yesterday after I hadn't been in for a couple months due to covid. I walked in and it was Koki who greeted me she remembered my name and asked how I had been which made me feel good and welcomed. I felt happy to finally get my eyebrows done. She sits me down and stars doing my eyebrows, during the time she was working on my eyebrows more customers walked in so I know she was probably trying to hurry to finish on me. When she said she was finished my eyes were watering and from having my eyes shut my vision was kind of blurry. She held the mirror and said she was done and I saw the left eyebrow and it looked good so I got up and paid (I trusted her so I didn't bother to get a closer look in the store) and also left her a tip and she didn't mention nothing about messing up. I didn't notice how messed up and uneven they were until I got in my car!!! My right eyebrow is literally so bad I can't believe she couldn't even apologize or tell me she messed up before I walked out of the store. Im updating ny review. I was a loyal customer who tipped over 100% every single time. But my last visit they absolutely MESSED my brows UP. It was shocking. Clipped a huge chunk off the front brow, left stray hairs all over, cut my skin. My eyebrow looked like a "squiggle" brow that you saw as a joke on a FB video. She was distracted talking to a different person which she should of stopped. I was comfortable for how long I was going hear and hurt she probably knew my brows were awful and did nothing but said "look ok?" I have not returned because if you have this many bad reviews than you would think youd treat your loyal customers right. I think if you go here, itll be hit or miss. And I do not want to miss, not with my eyebrows. They arent rude or mean, which would make this update 2 star easier. read more

She tends to take her time to ensure perfection and it's definitely worth every second. She makes sure you are happy with the shape and then trims length and tweezed strays. Everyone that has done my eyebrows here has been good the best one like literally is this thin gal named poonja I think I'm sure I spelled it wrong but I'm telling you she is the freakin best soooo good and I've gone to different places and different ladies before. I believe she only works weekends fri-mon I asked her. But somehow never there when I show up and I feel bad asking for someone else. The worst that I have gotten the past 4 times with a lot of time in between my visits hoping to give this lady a chance because she's the only one there! is the older lady Koki. I feel bad leaving a bad review but I hope I can help everyone that is trying to get their eyebrows done here. In my experiences she rushes so fast like she has somewhere to go or is doing it for free? She has cut me, left my eyebrows hurting and worst of all leaves them thin each time! I literally don't understand lol. One time she even tapped me and said good girl you don't cry lmfao well I almost wanted to! Damn.... We're not in the 2000's anymore like idk how she still works there. And everyone that goes to her either likes having thin eyebrows or just feels bad and hoping she will do better the next time around (like me) but this 4 time was the last straw won't be having her help me anymore I should of just stopped at the second time around but I didn't learn my lesson. read more

Today this woman name Cookie light skin older lady left my eyebrows so thin that even my friends agreed after I told her 2 times that I like my eye brows thick. She did my eyebrows according to her in less than 2 min. and I literally have half an eye brow. she still tried to argue that it matched my other eye brow when it didn't. In the decade plus of having my eyebrows threaded I've never had someone butcher my eyebrows the way I had them butchered today. Unbelievable. Prior to my appointment, I had a beautiful set of thick eyebrows that I usually only have cleaned up. I told the lady to clean them up and I left with half the amount of eyebrows that I came with. And the job she did was very poor, very quick and what eyebrows I had left were crooked. I've come to this place before on three different occasions and have had three different service providers. The first time was mediocre but she did not remove half of my eyebrows so it was fine. The second time was with a lady who was pregnant. She did a really great job. Today was with an older lighter skin woman. I definitely won't be returning to this establishment ever again. And if you choose to have services here please be advised that you've been warned. read more

I was doing research around my area for good eyebrow threading places and I found this location with an affordable price range. This was my first time getting my eyebrows threaded because all of my friends told me that it's totally worth it to get them done. I had Humay do my eyebrows and upper lip, who has been doing this for about 8 months now and did a phenomenal job. She was polite, friendly, and very gentle with me. She would always ask me if it looked good or if she missed any spots and then offered to color my eyebrows for me just with a eyebrow pencil(I pluck my eyebrows myself and I went too far). She was fantastic, this is definitely my go-to spot from now on! Would definitely recommend for anyone who's never had their eyebrows threaded before! read more

My wedding is tomorrow and the only thing I can do now is fill it and wait 2 weeks for my hair to grow back. This place is cheap compared to other places but I see why. I gave this place a chance. They always leave me in pain and with a cut. They work so fast and they thread the same area over and over and it leaves a burning sensation. I got up with tears (not crying tears) and I had never in other places. They don't even ask what you want... they just ask you to sit and they start working. They are good are leaving you with thin brows. I got my eyebrows threaded for the first time and I'll never go back to plucking them myself again. It does hurt a little (not as much as when I got my sideburns done the following week) but really, what hair removal isn't unpleasant? Very affordable and quick service. The one thing I didn't like is that they don't clean your face first. They wipe the areas off with witch hazel afterwards but I'm prone to breakouts and it's more sanitary if they remove your makeup before they start. read more

I'm surprised at the bad ratings people have left for Hollywood Threading. I have been using Hollywood's threading services for two years. The thread artists have provided exceptional service each time. The business is quick, clean and efficient. Although there were staffing changes, the women are very cordial and good listeners. I have seen Koki, Lily and Sunita. Customers, you need to be specific with how you want your brows shaped. Thread artists cannot read minds. It's slightly painful at times, but that's expected. For those who complain it hurts too much, well maybe you might have sensitive skin. It doesn't bother me. Obviously, the cotton thread is rubbing against your skin which causes irritation especially on very sensitive skin types. Grow thicker skinner. :) read more
