I told her I want simple design but her design was awful cause it was not neat and then she keep on messing it and didn't know what she was doing.. totally disappointing.. and I end up paying more to the other girls there to get my other side of the hands who did better job than the First Lady who ruined my hands.. but I am too nice to say anything to hurt anyone's feeling so I sucked it up then and just warning you all.. so you don't get your hands ruined for Eid..or any important events! if you are ever going there observe first before you sit down in excitement.. look who is doing better designs and who knows how to do henna.. not some self taught person who is sitting there.. and will ruin your hands.. either get your henna done from Nadia, Hajr or Kajal they are all good.. 3 WORDS: CHOOSE ANYONE ELSE!! Working with Nadia was a complete nightmare for everyone that was involved (including our wedding planner, who did not receive her services). In my experience she was dishonest, unethical, unprofessional, and I'm honestly shocked she has these reviews (idk, maybe it's from family or friends). 1) My trial with her was horrible, she never finished my hair or make-up looks and took three hours, she was also 25 mins late to our appointment after already re-scheduling with me for her convenience because she booked a personal trip when we were scheduled for a trial (but I was understanding) 2) I decided to not book her Perfect Day package because I had a large gap between my two looks so I didn't want to pay for hours that weren't going to be utilized. So I booked her services a la carte. Nadia was again unprofessional by calling my wedding planner 2 DAYS BEFORE THE WEDDING to requesting that she "speak to me and convince me to book the Perfect Day to guarantee that SHE would be available to me". Of course she called me immediately and even told me that Nadia was aggressive and in her professional experience, she would never expect that from a vendor. I called Nadia and she told me that she has already booked another client between my wedding and reception looks and she cannot guarantee her services unless I booked the Perfect Day package. ARE YOU SERIOUS?! I was being blackmailed to give her another $600 for no reason and I wasn't going to fall for that crap. I respectfully reminder her of the contract we signed and she agreed to do her best to get back to my reception to update my hair and make-up by 5. Well, guess what? She lied because she NEVER left to another client (or I should say, imaginary client) probably because she wanted me to be panicked so I can pay another $600 to her for no reason! 3) Nadia showed up ONE HOUR LATE on the day of the wedding. Which messed up the timing for all vendors. Our ceremony was even delayed an hour because of her. 4) My mom's make-up was butchered, every family member made the effort to correct it. 5) My brother asked my wedding planner for a safety pin for his drape, and Nadia offered it (so nice right?) NO- she billed me $5 for one safety pin that my planner would have provided to him for free. 6) My cousin changed outfits and some of her hair got messed up and needed to be re-pinned but she didn't need a new do. So, we asked Nadia if anyone else could use her hair service we paid for. Her response shocked me!! She said even re-pinning counts as a hair look. WTF?! Putting in 3 bobby pins again counts for $75 worth of hairstlying on the same person you 7) Obviously after the delays, we were just trying to get back on track with timing. She was constantly taking breaks to check her phone, or send texts and my wedding planner finally had to intervene and ask Nadia's to "Please, stay focused because we are already running behind due to her". As a bride, I was so annoyed, but I had to keep my cool because this woman had what I was gonna look like under her control. There are many many more examples of unprofessionalism and just plain BAD SERVICE so please find anyone else or go to Ulta for your hair and makeup. read more

Nadia was definitely super on top of me when it came time to book the trial to make sure we had my perfect look. It actually went on for hours because she actually made an effort to listen to what I wanted. I wanted to look like a fresh, not too heavily made up, more modern looking bride, and I don't think anyone could do it better, cuz the proof is in the pictures!!! She listened to my crazy ideas that she was so excited to try with me, and executed it better than I could ever imagine. I booked Nadia for 4 events, and she attended all of my events in LA for my makeup and even traveled to Northern California to do my makeup for my last reception! 411: Product- Amazing Owner- Amazing Why? I found Nadia(the owner's name) while searching for henna on Instagram, her insta is @hennadilse. I was looking for a producer in the US because I didn't want shipping to take a month. I contacted her through email and she responded fairly quickly for how busy she is! I was impressed because she responded within and hour or so after each message, so don't be afraid to contact her and ask questions. I personally only looked for the price of a henna cone, not a make up or hair appointment( which she also does) and the original ones are $7. I bought 3 and with tax the total was $22.98. I stopped by her studio, which is located in side another building on the first floor, to pick up since I don't live far, and she was very nice despite having just came back from a wedding she worked on. The price was well worth it! The cones are wrapped in beautiful gold wrapper and they are about 6inches long. I did some simple designs on about 10 different people, with a total of about 12 designs, and I haven't even finished half of one cone! She gave me some good tips when I met her and I suggest picking up the product if able so you can meet her and see her small but pretty and stylish studio. The quality of the henna is excellent, it flows nicely through the cone with no lumps, has a strong natural smell (like eucalyptus oil), stains immediately and its nice and dark only after a few hours! Nadia was absolutely amazing! From my trial, she took so much time talking to me and just getting to know me as a person before we even started discussing make up and the looks i wanted. Once we got to the actual trial she did my eye make up and didn't get impatient when I wanted to change some things. Just an update. She kept my money. I didnt receive the henna she lied about sending 3 times. Never offered a refund just asked me to wait for it to arrive. Had the nerve to tell me "don't speak to her as if this was intentional" and said I was rude. Really?!! I wasn't rude the 3 times prior trying to reach you and being ignored and lied to multiple times. The mail doesn't lose something THREE times. She also decide to tell me she has a new born which doesn't matter to me. If you can't handle taking care of a baby and working then don't take peoples money. Her personal life has nothing to do with me and was super tacky and unprofessional to even mention. So, I pretty much demanded a refund. Best part!!!! I NEVER got my refund. First she tells me she had never done a refund before so she had to check then says she did it and it should take 10-12 business days even though I was contacting her after the 12 days to tell her I didn't receive it. Nadia is very talented with hair and make up and I would recommend her. I hired her for my wedding and she did a great job. The only thing I will warn other customers about is the little costs. I spent over $1200 with Nadia and she was asking if I could pay for her $15 parking. It seemed like with every small thing I asked her for, she wanted to charge. Felt that it was a bit ridiculous. The other thing is that i bought extensions from her which was great. I asked for the receipt for budgeting purposes but she wouldn't provide it - I found that a bit strange. We had an appointment with Nadia for my daughter to have a trial make up and hair for her wedding. Nadia showed up 30 min late. Only applied make up on one eye? Her cell phone constantly went off while doing only "one " eye. Did not even touch the hair. Told us she had to go have dinner with the family and that the family was waiting for her to eat? If I could, I would give Henna Dil Se ZERO STARS. I would not recommend Henna Dil Se's service for wedding services at all. I had originally hired her to do henna, makeup, and hair for my sister, my mom, and I. Very soon she started making demands and excuses for her demands despite the fact that we had repeatedly told her that her demands were outside of our budget. It made me feel like she would be VERY difficult to work with on my wedding day. I told her 5 months in advance of the wedding that I did not want to work with her and she still kept our $1750 deposit stating that she needs to keep it in order cover other services she had missed out on. Till this day she will not give us our $1750 deposit back (which is ALOT of money for any bride let alone a budget conscious bride). What's more we did not agree to it being non refundable, especially when we gave her ample notice for cancellation of services. If we had sprung it on her last minute I would understand, but this was FIVE months in advance and only because she was being difficult. If you want your day to be about you and you want a flexible and down to earth make up artist don't go for Henna Dil Se's services. read more

I can't even comment on the quality of work, as I couldn't go through the administrative hoops. After several emails and no response, I called and was greeted very un-enthusiastically - as if it was a burden to talk with me. Subsequent emails to follow up on the email conversation required a phone call two days after the email to actually inquire if someone was going to respond to me. All this and three weeks later I call to be told "there are email issues and they aren't getting any messages." Unprofessional doesn't begin to explain how I feel about their administrative staff. Needless to say - regardless of how good the actual services are, I will not be using them as a vendor for my wedding. The situation was that my out-of-town bride, in Laguna, we planning to drive to Los mAngeles and back to SOUTH Laguna by two pm....I knew this was a terrible idea but my client explained she had waited to book and was only able to find one available hair artist for her wedding day.
