My daughter is officially a teenager! I can't believe that! So with this huge milestone, we decided to get traditional henna tattoos. We came across Henna Tradition and decided to make an appointment. I reached out through email on the website and received a response in just a few hours. When booking, you do have to make a non-refundable deposit ($25) which does go towards your service. My daughter got henna on one hand, and I got one hand and one foot. The final price was $105, $35 x2, one hand top design starting above wrist, and one-foot design starting at $35. My daughter already had a design in mind which turned out great! I was open to any design, and I let Farwa pick for me. She is in the South Bay, which was very convenient for me. I loved the way our henna dried and love how it currently looks. I will be coming back to celebrate another milestone.

She responds in a timely fashion and also teaches you how to care for your henna to make it last as long as possible SUPER IMPORTANT!! I've been to other artists and they give vague directions on how to care for the stain. I highly recommend Henna Traditions for your henna needs!

Farwa is wonderful! She did the henna for my wedding ceremony and the henna for wedding guests the night before. I chose the Rose Bride package for myself and the one-artist/ 20 quick designs package for wedding guests. Not only is Farwa amazing at what she does, but she is also a pleasure to be around! Farwa is extremely talented, artistic, creative, fairly priced, flexible, and fun. My mom and I spent 3-4 hours at her house for the ceremony henna; and then she drove across the city to do the guest henna on an important holiday. She went above and beyond the entire weekend. We are so grateful!

She talked to me about using organic products and her after-care instructions that would allow me to have the deepest color without risk of allergies to chemicals they often mix into the henna in Artesia. I was fortunate to find Henna Tradition and was able to book Farwa for the date and time requested. Farwa was fantastic! She arrived on time at the party and set up quickly. She was very patient with our little group of tweens (and you can imagine how 11 and 12 year old girls can be) and provided them very beautiful artwork. My sister found Farwa through yelp when she needed henna done for her wedding. Farwa works out of her apartment which is located very centrally in Torrance. It took almost 4 hours for my sister's bridal henna to be done, but the work was stunning. I went to Farwa's the next day with 4 other girls so that we could all get some small henna on our hands for the wedding as well. I had browsed designs and showed her what I was thinking of, and she replicated it no problem in 15 minutes flat. She was able to also replicate designs for the other girls, and the 5 of us were done in 2 hours, and for what I thought was very reasonable pricing. She is clearly skilled and knows what she's doing. She talked us through it and explained what henna was made of, and how to treat it for the next few hours. We all were super pleased with the service and artwork, and received tons of compliments all weekend. I definitely recommend Farwa if you need henna done!

I usually come to see Farwa for my henna, but when I found out she can do makeup too I decided to see her for an event I had to go to. I don't normally wear a lot of makeup so I asked her to give me a natural look. She exceeded my expectations! She gave me a natural look, evened out my skin tone and did some light contouring. She explained everything she was doing and why. I would recommend seeing her if you want to have your makeup done for an event or if you just want to look nice for a date or for yourself. Her henna skills are amazing!! She is friendly and fast. She is able to do any design you bring to her and makes sure you're happy with the result!!! read more

Incredible henna! A true traditional artist with an amazing sense of design. I drove down to Torrance and she did the backs of both hands in an hour. I got a gorgeous stain from the henna. Couldn't be happier. I did a lot of research in LA area for good henna art. Closer places looked really crappy, art-wise. The drive to Torrance and the cost was so worth it. She also will come to you if you hire her for over 2 hours of work (I believe.) Her services would be perfect for parties! read more

When I expressed how unhappy I was with the service she said "okay only pay me $5" I told her I didn't feel like I should pay at all and then she THREATENED to call the cops. I ended up paying her the full amount $10 because that wasn't the point , I just want to make it very clear I was not trying to get a discount or anything I was truly UNSATISFIED with her work. She didn't even apologize throughout our interaction all she offered was for me to go back next week so she can fix it.. WITH WHAT BROWS am I supposed to come back !!!?!!?!?! They're literally all gone. The reason it makes me so upset is because my brows typically take MONTHS to grow out and I have a wedding to go to next week. I am going to speak to the manger Tika when she comes back to let her know what's going on and to make sure the girls she's hiring to work there actually know how to thread eyebrows because this was really unacceptable she cannot afford to keep losing customers
