She accommodated our schedule on a weekday before a destination wedding and copied the inspiration pictures (of her work) I brought perfectly. It was pretty hard to remove from my skin (I had to scrape it and it was stuck to my arm hair lol) but it was worth it because the color came out so good. I highly recommend Dixita for your henna needs! She makes her own henna cones and takes her time to go through her books of designs to help you choose. She showed me options from modern and traditional designs (I opted to go with traditional). I had a last minute booking and contacted her Tuesday night, asking for a spot on Thursday night. I went to the location she provided me, where she had a henna station set up. I will say, try to get a ride from someone if you're the only one getting mehndi done (only because it's awkward to drive with mehndi on your hand). She took her time to help me settle on a design, I chose a traditional design (you can see it in the pictures. Ignore the random spots, that was my own fault while at home because I slept in it without securing it properly). The pictures I have are from the 3rd day and you can see how dark the stain is. I can't say enough about Dixita, she was the person we reached out to when my brother got married 7 years ago, and now at 39 weeks pregnant, I was able to memorialize my belly with this beautiful piece. In total it took about an hour and half and that's with my little one moving in my belly the whole time! I let her be creative and told her I wanted a lion incorporated into the design and BOY DID SHE DELIVER! I've had soooo many compliments from so many people. I'm so grateful she lives close by, she drove to my house, was extremely personable and just a genuinely sweet person to be around. I also want to mention that Dixita mixes her own henna that she imports from Rajasthan (known to have the best henna in the world). A lot of henna artists get pre-made mixes which have chemicals and while the color will be dark, I've had scenarios where after 3 days, it comes off in patches and looks disgusting. She uses pure henna and the color is beautiful, I posted a picture of the henna when she applies it and also 3 days post her applying it and it looks amazing!!
