Horrible experience and terrible service at Hempstead. What they care about is getting as much as they can from your pocket. Yes, they are so-called very nice when they are trying to sell you some unnecessary expensive services. But their attitude change 180 degrees after you signing up paper work. The experience I had was that they were misled me to buy expensive services. The lesson I had was that when you signing up a form, read it VERY CAREFULLY if you want to try your luck over this dealer. What they promise to you may be VERY DIFFERENT from what is on the paper work. After about half an hour, I felt there were some traps, then I called the service department. The guy told me exactly what they promised. But when I picked up my car, several important services were not done. I will never use services from Hempstead ford any more. Service representative (Karen) refused to look over car with me before or after I paid as she rushed out of the door to leave for the day (20 minutes prior to closing). - Quality of Work: was VERY BAD because they did a crap-shoot job on the "package" they required me to pay, let alone fix anything I initially brought my car in to be checked upon. I assumed they followed a step-by-step guide on the car, opposed to a REAL mechanic shop (outside of the brand-specific service center) going out of their way to solve the customer's car trouble/concerns. - Friendliness: was BAD because the woman at the end was trying to convince me to give her all fives on this score, and didn't give me five friendliness, let alone customer service. She kept telling me to "TRUST" her, which made me ever-so leery. However, the fellows who scaled/weighed my car initially were super friendly for the five minutes I met them, even though they botched the systems check thinking my care was a Lincoln, as it said FORD all over it. - Overall Experience: was BAD because NOTHING I requested to be fixed or looked at was actually taken care of or cleared up precisely. I got a step-by-step oil change and a car that made the same belt squeak noises, electronic whirl under my ignition, and passenger-side clicking I brought it in to be fixed in the first place. - Price: was OK just because it was reasonably cheap for the oil change package. read more

The dealership itself is great, usually moves very fast and they are prompt with the followups. I could not rate it 5 stars only because we did hit a barrier and it was a bit stressful at first with the bickering and arguing, however at the end of the day they went above and beyond and put a smile on our faces. All the brakes were changed, wheel hub was replaced and some piece with the shifter had to be replaced as well. If i did not have the extended coverage plan it would have been a lot of $$$ thankfully it was all covered. The dealership as well as myself were apologetic for the whole situation spinning out of control in the first place. This was my first time going in for service, so I didn't know what to expect. I would like to say from start to finish customer service was EXCELLENT. Mr John in service explained everything and gave me an estimated wait time of 1 hour and 15 minutes. As I was settling in about to watch a movie, I was informed my car was finished. It took 45 minutes (unbelievable), I was so use to spending 4-5 hours in service just for an oil change with my old car. Ive been shopping different cars for a few weeks. I stopped in to get a quote for a 3 year lease on a Edge and Kim helped me out. she was very friendly and polite. I told her up front that I am a serious buyer but I was not buying today and just wanted something to think about for next week. She was very helpful and there was no pressure or rude closers following me out the door. I got my price within 15 minutes which ended up being the same price I got at another dealership that was very high pressure and obnoxious to my wife and I. the only thing stopping me from buying from them is I want a 2015 and Ford will not have them out until spring. Otherwise with some minor haggling it would have been a done deal. I will give them first shot in 3 years when the new lease is up. read more

Not only is Karen a really nice person, but she really cares about her clients and goes out of her way to get you what you want at the best possible price. This is my third Lincoln, and I wish I had known Karen when I got my first one. I was so thoroughly ripped off by the first dealership I went to and was given terrible customer service so when I met Karen I was so happy to find her. The service department is great too! He didn't say or talk about "Priority Service" and that is not Ford dictates to it's dealers - you as a Ford Dealer, have to service Ford cars - warranty or otherwise! So, your statement of "Priority Service" is just a way of trying to clean up what your salesman, Tony, tried to intimidate me with. Instead of trying to contact me, apologize to me, try to win my business back - because I had bought a car from you (2009) and had it serviced by you (last 9 years) - you wish me luck. Save yourself the greif- do NOT visit this dealership This was by far the worst experience I have ever had in working with a dealership. I had visited a few other dealerships for pricing details, and was hoping to make a deal at Hempstead Ford. After meeting with the sales person Tony B on a Friday night, he indicated he could get me a much better deal and indicated specific packages he could add to beat that price. Said to come back at 11:00 AM the next day to meet with him and his manager. No problem- I show up at 10:59 AM, with basically a 'check in hand'. After waiting 15 minutes, Tony provides me feedback that he can't throw in all the 'extras', but wanted to still talk to his Sales Manager. I waited... and waited... 1 hour and a half later of sitting there, Tony (who took someone else on a test drive), says to leave him my number and i will call you in a few hours with the final deal. He never called that day. This dealership, or at least specifically this sales person shoudl not be in a customer service position. By Far the worst experience ever, and they lost a car deal because of it. read more

I made an offer for a brand new vehicle online at Hempstead Lincoln.com. They called me the next day and told me they excepted my offer and to come down to make a deal. I made sure to ask if they excepted my deal because I had to leave work early. Alexa told me that they will except my deal and she confirmed with the manager. After asking my boss to leave work early I called back again to make sure that they excepted my deals and Alexia confirmed that they are. I visited this location to purchase a new vehicle with my husband. Not one person greeted us. In fact, the receptionist just stared at us as we entered. We asked where the show room was located and she just pointed. We looked around and still was not offered any assistance. We went out to the lot and looked. There were a few sales people out there, but they just looked at us. I had a question and attempted to get the attention of a salesman but he was too busy talking with his colleagues. We left and went to Honda in which we were greeted and offered assistance. Customer service is important. We are now the owners of a Honda vehicle. read more

Grace really sets the standard by which salespersons should be measured. She's a 10 out of 10, friendly but highly professional. She worked with us every step of the way, from choosing the new car all the way to actually screwing on the license plates. And, of course, everything in between, like settling on a fair price, steering us through the paperwork, explaining in detail all the interior workings, and accompanying us on a test drive. He contacted me and informed me that he was sorry for any issues caused and offered to pay to have an alarm installed as it should have been at the beginning. Hempstead Ford is by far the worst dealer I've ever encountered' I've always felt they were ripping me off with the service ' I took my car in without windshield wiper fluids for the works .. So why did I have to put wiper fluids in my bone dry canister after I paid Hempstead ford for this service? Once it became apparent of these shady practices I took my car to a very reputable company. And you guessed it!!!!! .the oil was so old it hadn't been changed in my car..i don't understand how this can be after all I was a loyal customer who took my car in for all of its service calls and yes like everyone else posting I am currently riding around with a loud noise coming from under my car and it only started after Hempstead from did work on it . read more

I've leased and bought a number of vehicles from Hempstead Ford Lincoln, and the purchase experience has been fine. Service, though, deserves a special commendation. Recently, Ford required a modem swap for the MyFordMobile telematics system in my 2015 C-MAX Energi to keep working (due to an AT&T network change). I had the work done on November 8-9, 2016, but like many other owners around the country, I have been unable to properly use MyFordMobile since then. My service coordinator at Hempstead Ford Lincoln, Juan Toro, has been diligent in helping me work through the problem with Ford and obtain accurate information on why this wasn't working properly. Last week, we both learned that unfortunately, when Ford first announced the swap, it specified the wrong modem for installation. Today, Mr. Toro and his repair team were finally able to receive and install the correct modem from Ford. The service was done quickly and well, and I'm back up and running again! read more

Let me start off by saying that I am not one to write reviews but I had to share/warn you of my time here. Unfortunately, I've had two negative experiences here. The first time I came in for a lease, they gave me a price and said they couldn't do any better on it. Something in me told me to check another ford dealer to see if they would beat this price, and believe it or not, I'm paying $60 less a month for the same exact vehicle! Now that my lease is ending, I went in this week to test drive another vehicle. I went in at 8:30 PM and the showroom closes at 9PM. The sales agent I was given (Carter) was very annoyed that I came in for a test drive 1/2 hour before closing. Not only that, he did not say a word during the drive other than the answers to 2 questions I asked (which I already knew the answer too, but I wanted to break the ice)! Once we got back to the showroom, he basically hands me the binder with the vehicle info and quotes me a price $50 more than what my current ford dealer is offering me and walked away. When he returned, I informed him of the price difference and he asked for the name of the sales agent I was dealing with at the other dealership whom he started to degrade in front of me calling him an "idiot who used to work for him." There was no negotiation, no discussion, Etc. He flat out told me to go purchase the vehicle from him! There is no way I will ever purchase a vehicle from this dealer (clearly their prices are more expensive) ! And not only that, I don't know how this man sells cars for a living that doesn't even smile or sit down and try to communicate with the customer in the correct manner! At least TRY to sell me your product.. Stay away from Carter... You've been warned! read more
