The only good Ford dealership left in western Nassau County. Bought a car here and the salesman was a true class act, although his manager upon closing the sale did do his best to try to upsell me on every possible plan and option I could or would never need. The service area has also recently been completely re-designed and is now truly top-notch. Pull into the service bay, and the first thing a technician will do is line your vehicle up to check tire alignment before getting you started. So far I've only had to do oil and filter changes here which have been covered under warranty, but they've recommended additional items which were well thought-out and nothing unnecessary was pushed. While I do miss Able Ford, these guys have picked up the ball and are doing a great job in the area. read more

Brought my truck in for recall and warranty repairs had my truck for 4 weeks the first time two weeks later check engine light comes on again truck was originally brought in for that and the part they replaced under recall failed so brought truck in for second time two weeks later get my truck back on a Friday didn't use until Monday well today is Tuesday and check engine light is on again after they charged me nine hundred dollars stating this will solve my problem now I have to bring it back again have no faith or confidence it will be fixed and they will probably say a different problem and try to charge me again read more

Brought my car in for an oil change at 8:30am. They asked what time I needed it back by and I said the end of the day. They waited until 4pm to call me and tell me my car won't be done until the following afternoon. What's the point of an 8:30am appointment then? More than 24 hours for an oil change....what a joke. Now I lose a day of work cause I don't have a car. The sales rep didn't seem to care, and kept saying they got backed up and there's nothing they can do. This isn't the first problem I've had with Hempstead but this is by far the worst and most inconvenient. This is my second car with them too and I've been coming here for 6 years. In the beginning of August, I posted a very negative review of the service department of this dealership. Update: Redemption After I posted the critical review, Oliver, the head of service, reached out to us. In a conciliatory telephone conversation with my husband, Oliver acknowledged missteps by his department and said things would be made right. Today my car was serviced without a glitch. The repair was done speedily and an immaculate loaner was proffered for my use. Kudos to Oliver and Hempstead Ford Lincoln for acknowledging patron criticism and acting to rectify the complaints. Having been a Ford customer for the last 25 years, it's sad to look elsewhere for more competitive pricing. I've always loved Ford trucks, but it seems as if they don't realty care too much about customer loyalty anymore. I didn't want to go to a Dodge RAM (they are right across the street!), but when I called the dealer who I've have dealt with for the last 20 years, he didn't seem to care, or have a competitive offer! Dodge offered a comparable pickup truck at $180/monthly less then Ford, and fully loaded. Dodge RAM is a great truck and very similar in reviews and customer satisfaction surveys. Ford indicated that they simply could NOT compete. What, right from the dealers mouth? Yes, they are Ford and I love them, but not at that price difference! If you want a pickup truck, then I would suggest looking at alternatives since Ford just can't compete with pricing any more. Look at Dodge or GMC! I love Ford, but at this price difference, it's just sad! Sorry to lose a 25 year Ford veteran, but Ford didn't seem to care or make any offers to keep customers anymore! My wife and I spent the weekend shopping for new cars, looking at variety of four door sedans. Our experiences varied from dealership to dealership and gave us a sense of what would be helpful. 1) put the coat of the car on the car - don't hide it. 2) if you have a car advertised on the web, have it in stock. 3) if you're running numbers, keep us apprised - don't leave us sitting alone for more than 6 mins or we will assume you have forgotten about us. 4) don't be surprised that we are married. There was a special on the website for Hempstead Ford & Lincoln for a Ford Fusion, so we stopped by. The car in question was there, and our salesman, J.C. was friendly, helpful, and did not try to upsell us. When we made it clear that there was only one car in the lot we were there to look at, J.C. didn't try to talk us into looking at anything else. The financing was clear and had no hidden surprises, and the finance guy, Frank, actually came out twice to explain what he was doing. All in all, we had a very pleasant experience, and will not only recommend this dealership to others, bit return when we are in the market again. read more

Ford did something right when they hired Argenis the prep manger. Once my mom had asked me to call to ask a question about her car. I was lucky enough to get Argenis on the phone. He was so detailed and knew a wealth of information, he clarified my moms original question and answered other questions before I even asked them. The second time I encountered Argenis was in person as he ran around trying to juggle multiple requests from employees and customers. Never once did I feel as if I wasn't a priority despite him being extremely busy. Keep up the good work by hiring highly qualified and dedicated employees. Old school family owned dealership. Some great employees and some rotten ones. I bought a used car from a very nice salesman; he'd been there 25 years. Honest, no nonsense guy who has adapted to the new ways of car sales which for a career guys is personal recommendations. My three experiences with their service department plain and simply sucked. They sent out some body work where the Bondo cracked and they wouldn't stand behind it. The overfilled my transmission two quarts, and they told me they fixed a seal they hadn't touched. I am having a TERRIBLE experience trying to get my car repaired. I own a 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid. It displayed warning lights and sounds, so I brought it for repair on 7/6/2021. After repeated attempts to have the dealership repair engine lights, the dealership said that the problem was fixed. When I took my car home, the same problem occurred. They now have my car an entire week and are unable to fix it. Very little communication and assurance from the dealership. They have been unable to provide me with a loaner car and I have therefore been without a car and transportation for a whole week. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I worked with Maria, from drop off the in a rental was 25 minutes. Pull up, modern facility, service staffs offices are right on the curb so you walk right in, no sitting at a counter with everyone waiting and complaining, or mechanics / suppliers blabbing and hanging out. Waiting room has nice flat screen vs, big leather couches and chairs and coffee / snacks. All issues were documented, has daily updates from Maria, including calls for anything my warranty did not cover, and once I went to pickup my vehicle I also got - again - a detailed report of work completed and recommended work I will be returning, and purchasing from the in the future, it is actually ENJOYABLE servicing your vehicle here! read more

Visited this location on Saturday the 21st of May 2016. My appointment was set at 9am got there around 8:45am, I rolled right into the service department no wait. Needed a oil change and tire rotation for my f150 raptor. They also did a multi point inspection and check all fluids and filters according to the paper work. Left at 11am on the dot. Over all had a good experience the waiting room was great they had leather sofas and a coffee spot for everyone and also had free wifi for us tech people. The only thing that bugged me about the service was that they left of mess of oil on top of my skid plate. They changed everything properly how they suppose to but the mess was visible. I don't know if is just me but I can't stand seeing a messy skid plate. I initially thought the oil pan was leaking but all is good. I would definitely recommend and I will go here every 10k miles for sure. Who knows maybe every 5k miles depending if I feel like changing my own oil. read more

Been going to this dealership for over a year, had the worst experience ever last time I went in, I set up and appointment for 7 AM, for an oil change/key programming/headlight bulb replacement for my Ford Fusion titanium 2015. I was treated nicely when I walked in, after four long hours of me waiting there, the car finally came out, I paid and everything. When I walked out and checked my car, my front bumper was not put on correctly after the headlight change (apparently they had to take my front bumper out for a headlight bulb change that came out to $124 including labour) YES! that's just a simple headlight replacement. Anyways, I walked back inside and tried talking to mister Adrian who was taking care of me, and he drove the car back into the shop, and gave me hope that they'll re adjust my front bumper to how it was, but he instantly came back out with my car, and told me that this is how the car came in, and that just pissed me off because I had been waiting for over four hours, and on top of that they're being lazy as shit and not fixing my bumper. Whilst I was talking to mister Adrian, and he was showing me the shitty quality images they take before your car goes in for wheel alignment, trying to prove that the bumper was already messed up before the car came in, without a proper frontal image, and he started arguing with me that the bumper looked like that when I came in, without any proof or knowledge, I DRIVE MY CAR EVERYDAY I KNOW WHAT MY CAR LOOKS LIKE, if your fucking department wants to be lazy at least don't lie to my face and tell me that my bumper was unsymmetrical when the car came in. Fucking bullshit! And to top that off!!!! he started talking to another customer, and that was absolutely unprofessional and rude, because I had been waiting for over four hours, and without any thought or initiation mister Adrian started dealing with the customer who JUST drove in. CLEARLY HE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO PRIORITISE CUSTOMERS, It was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. Horrible experience... Go to a different Ford dealership. Took my 01 Explorer in for an oil change on a Monday night. Got a call back on Tuesday from a very rude lady who initially asked me if I was some other person (paperwork was mixed up on their end). Once that was cleared up, she immediately barked at me saying that I need front brakes. I replied asking which car she was calling about, if the oil change was done, if the multi-point inspection was done, etc. Very persistent about the brake replacement to which I responded with - "Not at this time, thank you.". Upon arriving to receive the car on Tuesday night, the multi-point inspection summary was not filled out. When I asked the same lady why this wasn't filled out, she said that it was filled out (only the brake and tire measurements were filled out - no info on battery, hoses, belts, etc.). This was cleared up by her going to talk to the tech. I followed her to the back room and basically saw her filling in the sheet herself. Not 100% sure if information was correct, but, moving on. They asked me if I would like my car to be washed as a courtesy. Sure, why not. For those of you familiar with the Explorer Sport Trac, there is a rear window. Guess what... car was washed with the window in the vent mode (open about an inch or two). Of course, this completely incompetent dealership got the entire backseat of my truck drenched with water. Ok, not the end of the world, but still a complete disaster. One of their guys, possibly a manager, kindly came out and offered to dry the back seats with an air gun. He did a decent job but there was still some water behind the seats that he dried down with a rag. Suffice to say that I will never, ever go back to this dealership for any kind of service. Absolutely incompetent personnel, no organization and no checks/balances. Last but not least, the cashiers (2 women) were very kind and helpful throughout this process. read more

Signed up to test drive Focus RS online, promptly got an email and a call back from receptionist scheduling me to test drive the RS for the same day and to ask for Frank. I had purchased 3 cars from hempstead ford. No more. The service department has no idea what its doing. From the day I took delivery of a 2011 Escape that was supposed to be CPO and I just found out was not it never ran right. I kept complaining something was off. Service kept telling me I needed wheel alignments (3 in less than 2 years with no off roading!). I finally had it and went to another dealership and traded in my 2011 Escape and got a 2018. A week later I get a call from the other dealership my truck was leaking oil and it needed transmission service (it had been serviced FOUR DAYS before I traded it in!). With the extended warranty it would have cost me $100 to fix the truck including rebuilding the transmission becasue it was all covered. Instead I traded it in at a loss and had to put down a lot more than $100 to get into the new vehicle. STAY AWAY FROM HEMPSTEAD FORD! read more

I had a service appointment for, I believe, on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 9:45AM. I arrived a few minutes earlier and drove the car right in and was attended by a Karen [LNU]. Karen told me that the charge would be approx. $65+ dollars which I questioned because I have a leased vehicle and thought maintenance was responsibility of the dealership. She also told me that having the service done at the dealer was cheaper. Okay. I agreed. From the start, I perceived an attitude from Karen; she had been there fore 14 years, she said. I went to the waiting room at approx. 10AM. I went on the internet and found out that I could use my rewards to lower the service cost. I returned to Karen and she confirmed that this was so BUT she never offered that option. Karen said she would make the adjustment. I returned to the waiting salon. My auto was ready at approx. 11:55AM! I acknowledge that there will be a longer wait during the weekends BUT 2 hours?!! I mentioned to Karen that I did a previous review which got a lot of attention. Her reply to that statement was: "You will give me a good review" or something of the sort. I would've given Karen a good review but I cannot because she is not deserving of it. Karen has to understand that she is not the OWNER of the service department; that her 14 years of service does not give her the platform to be condescending; that her constant coughing is very unpleasant. Truly, Karen's treatment will be one of the major factors in me reconsidering if I want to either lease or purchase a vehicle once this lease is over in 2 years. I thought i had finally found a place to take my explorer. My car is from 2004 i have only 55k miles and on the last visit which i needed the inspection they told me i needednew breaks which didn't make sense since i had news ones installed not long ago. I needed the inspection done because it expired that weekend. I knew i was getting ripped off but what could i say i dont know anything about cars. When i left the dealer i notice a weird noise coming out ofthe front which has been getting worse after a couple months i was there. Im never coming back. After i spoke to friends who know about cars they told me never to trust the dealers. I know if i come back they will tell me something is terribly wrong which im guessing they cause and rip me off again. This is quite upsetting because my first 2 visits were pleasant. Im currently looking for a place or mechanic i could trust and i do not recommend this place to anybody. Hat's off to Karen Hesdra at Hempstead Ford Lincoln. I walked my friend into this place and asked for Karen. My friend needed a car bad and didn't really look great on paper. A recent Bankruptcy, very little cash and was willing to settle for a used car considering her situation. However, in less than an hour, my friend was approved for the lease of a brand new Lincoln, payments more than $100 less than what she was willing to pay and very little money down. i spoke with John Lydon had my class A (40 foot) fixed hear last year an ABS light came on they fixed it for about $ 1000 (REASONABLE for this MH) they warned me about the brake system( I spend 3-4 mths on a beach in the keys) came back this year had a motor tune up and the brake system almost all REPLACED whole job (1200 tune up 2500 whole brake system) for a 2005 class a this is more than reasonable I didn't rush them !!! My sales Rep. Frank Romeo was honest trustworthy and knowledgeable and true to his word. Everything about my experience with Ford has been spectacular. I had been on the car hunt for about a month, doing my research in store and online, randomly walking into dealerships (and feeling nauseous upon leaving because of the sales lions waiting to pounce), etc... basically over-analyzing EVERYTHING because which ever car I went with... would be my first car. The moment I walked into Ford, all of my anxiety went out the window. The gentleman I spoke to, Tom Anderson (from Hempstead Ford), not only gave me his honest opinion, but gave me pointers on how to go about my search. Never once did he force me into a car, and never once did he pressure me into getting a car - he simply talked to me, and asked ME what I was looking for. For once I felt like I was being heard and was not being told what I should want, and what kind of car I should get. I left our first meeting feeling excited and happy. And guess what? Because of this, because of him treating me like a human instead of a potential paycheck, Tom Anderson and Ford got my business. I convinced my father to return with me (he had been looking into new cars for the family around the same time)- I wanted him to speak with Tom. It's very hard to trick my father, and when we left, he had the same reaction: Ford had been the first genuinely helpful dealership we had visited during this period. (Update: he is currently in talks with Hempstead Ford regarding a lease). Tom helped me with all of the paperwork, explaining EVERYTHING to me, and answering all of my questions. He even sat with me and helped me with my car insurance (like I said, this was my first car... and car insurance was a foreign language to me). By the end of it all, he felt like a family member. This leads me on to my experience at the Star Ford dealership in Glendale, CA. I had moved from New York a few months ago, and I was up for an oil change (we drove across in the Fusion beauty - so comfortable and spacious. 8 days could not have gone smoother... well, minus the two whining cats we had in the back seat). While I had such a wonderful experience at the Ford dealership back in NY, I couldn't expect the Ford Service Center in Glendale to be the same. Nope! It was. Bill (his last name escapes me at the moment - sorry, Bill) walked me through the process and what was included in my maintenance service. It was quick and painless, and they fed us food while we waited (which wouldn't stand out as being an important factor in the Ford trip, but I had a hungry boyfriend with me... and it was very important).
