I was referred by my Auto Technician to this facility who called and set up an appointment after damage to a quarter panel and my grille was removed by a hit and run incident. My technician assured me that I would very be pleased with the attention given and the quality of the shop's work. I met Chris (owner) and his son Chris Jr. Both were courteous, professional, friendly and very detailed in their explanation of what had to be done, how it would be done and the cost. They offered to give my a ride to my home and pick me up when the work was ready. They gave an expected time to finish the work. I could not believe that the projected time would be met and how perfect my car looked after the work . The paint color matched (later verified with a special tool) by my dealer. I took my car to the dealer for an alignment and inspection and they weren't able to tell that a repair had been done. My car was thoroughly cleaned, the paint job was perfect, customer service was exceptional. I have over 20 years managing professional and non-professional staff and I am always on the lookout for quality. Hempstead Auto Collision is focused on quality work unlike shops which are more concerned about volume. I discovered that they would take on new work only if they can return a car completely finished within the projected timeframe.
