This fest occurs each spring at the Seattle Center for several years. This year for $7.00 you enter, get a sack and wonder, "what's the sack for?" Hmm ,well, wait and see.
You begin, amazed at the number of booths, aisles, people and simply the sheer vastness of the exhibition hall, filled with FOOD! samples for free to try. My overall plan ( I am a planner, a Virgo) was shot right away. I entered, saw a sample of field roast, which I liked, and then the fun began. The idea of seeing a demo or hearing a speaker was gone. I wandered the aisles. i tasted juices, yogurts, energy bars, soy tacos, soy other things, salsas, organic food and more. And more. My favorite healthy and organic foods all were there.
My favorite food of the day was portobella mushroom pastry made by Upper Crust Catering.I also had samples of favorites: Odwalla juices, Emerald Valley salsa, lara bars, cliff bars and many soy products. I saw Full Circle Farm rep; talked to PCC reps; talked to Cascadia farms rep; visited 1190 AM talk radio and Kjzz radio.
Many speakers and demos were scheduled. At one point I had reached the saturation point and it was time to head out.
You get lots of free samples. You don't pay for food.
I do recall years ago a different arrangement, but now is now. The soy tacos and enchiladas and chips with salsa will fill you up. If not, then there is a plethora of energy bars to try. Then chocolate: Black and Gold's, Theo,s.. and ohhhh cupcakes and Might-o Donuts.
Go, have fun. Try something new.
