Went to brunch here with some friends and ordered the California Benny. The hollandaise sauce was cold and the potatoes had zero flavor. The coffee and the pancakes were the only redeeming qualities. Our server was nice but everything felt rushed. Cute little place but probably won't be back. read more

I have been here twice now, and both times it has been an excellent experience! Vanessa G was my server both times, and set the standard for excellent customer service, with knowledge of the menu, and good recommendations. I went with the veggie omelette with home fries and pancakes both times. Hey i'm a creature of habit what can I say, but my mouth was watering looking at all the menu options. Food quality is a homerun, served so fast it quenches the palate while mouth still watering from perusing the menu. Jimmy Johns has nothing on Hemingway, anybody can slap some deli meat together quick, but takes talent and teamwork to pump out a gourmet breakfast quicker than expected twice! We tried this place last Sunday and we were absolutely not disappointed! The food was so good we ended up all sharing everything we ordered. There was a group of 10 of us so we reserved a table online, and we went during the busiest time so our wait was about 20 minutes upon arrival. Once we got seated our drinks came out quick and the food shortly after. Our server was Kris J. He was friendly and the whole family was very pleased with his service. He spoke very highly of the food and the restaurant, it was refreshing to hear someone positive about their job. We will definitely be going back! read more

Thought I'd give this place a try since I live about 15 miles away. I was pleasantly surprised at the portions of the pancake sampler plate! I got the Cinnabomv, oreo, and and lemon berry ones. They all were very fluffy and had lots of flavor. They all had powdered sugar, some fruit, and cream cheese drizzle on them. I even placed my hand next to the pancake, so you could gage the size of them. My friend got the yogurt parfait, which was pretty tall for a single serving, with a little bit of fresh fruit and granola on top. I would definitely love to come back and try this place again for a more hearty breakfast. I had to get a to go container for the leftover pancakes since I could only eat about 1/3rd of each one, lol. It completely satisfied my sweet tooth for the day! read more

Sunday brunch host gave our party of four outdoor table. We waited 20 minutes without a waiter / waitress. It also started to get very hot. I told hostess about our issue and asked if we could move inside. She indicated that we would have to go to bottom of list, with a 45 minute wait. Very poor customer service skills. We left and will never go back. Probably good anyway, very loud, congested and way over priced. read more

Went on a Monday afternoon. Place was quiet with only a few other patrons. It was clean and aesthetically pleasing. Servers and hostess were quick and kind. Food was really good as well. From the beginning to the end of my experience, EXCELLENT! Host greeting was polite and swift! Wait Person was quick to greet us / knowledgeable / attentive to detail / recorded + submitted our correct Order the first time! Kitchen Staff produced our outstanding entrees very promptly / professionally! Looked / tasted great! Seated pretty quickly for a Sunday at 12:30. Only a 10-minute wait. I had the chicken pesto panini with housemade chips; hubby had breakfast burger, with fries, and; grandson had bear cakes from the kids menu. Everything came out quickly and tasted delicious . BEC sandwich was perfect! Ciabatta was slightly toast and buttery! Short Rib skillet was perfection the meat was nicely cooked melt in your mouth. Alex (the waitress) was super sweet and patient and knowledgeable about the menu and had recommendations. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious like she said! Stopped by for a quick breakfast at this local place and was pleasantly greeted upon entry. The staff was happy and eager perform well. I ordered bacon, eggs, biscuits, and fresh fruit. The eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly as ordered. The biscuits were light, fluffy, and buttery just as a biscuit should be! The bowl of fruit was fresh as advertised. Atmosphere is chilled and inviting. Breakfast bowl was really good and the biscuits are some of the best I've ever had. Grits could use a little love. But the best part of the experience was my waiter Chris. It's amazing the difference one person can make in the world just by seeing others. Nice upbeat atmosphere inside a great space. We arrived around 11:30 on a Sunday, and there was a short wait. We were seated promptly, and Chris (our server) absolutely made our dining experience! Very attentive, with a great sense of humor. I had the Corned Beef hash, my wife had the Short rib hash, and the girls had the pancake sampler, nutella crepes, and avocado toast. I think i blinked three times, and everyone had completely devoured what they could of their meals. Excellent food, full of flavor, and a good experience. Got classic eggs Benedict with side salad. The English muffins weren't toasted at all and there were three or four brown leaves in the small side salad. Tasted the bourbon peach French toast and it wasn't great. The peaches were nice. The toast was very thick and looked like it had only been briefly dipped in the mixture and cooked quickly so the insides of the toast didn't have that nice, sweet-but-savory-softness of good French toast, while the outside was lightly soggy. Instead, it was dry bread inside, on all the pieces. Friend ordered pancakes and paid for the chocolate chips, expecting them to be baked into the pancake. Instead there was a sprinkling of maybe 15 small chocolate chips on top. Had a latte and it was tiny, more like a cappuccino size. Service was friendly but not necessarily that efficient, as we had to ask a couple of times about some items. Orange juice was delicious and liked the espresso martini. I also liked the overall look and feel of the place so perhaps it was just an off day. I'll likely go back at some point, armed with new expectations, but wouldn't rush to go immediately. read more

First & last visit. Picked this spot based on reviews. It does have a cute atmosphere. We had a party of 5 & minimal wait time to be seated. Things started out great, until... The Waitress did not write anything down, and only got 2 of our orders correct. My husband's meal didn't make it to the table with the others. Five minutes into everyone else getting their meal, the waitress asks how everything is & we inquire about the missing meal. She went to check on it & came back to say it's "almost ready" then another 10 minutes later states that it was delivered to another table. She apologized & told us she would discount his meal. In the meantime I bit into a large piece of eggshell from my eggs Benedict. I've never eaten an eggshell, not a pleasant experience. My husband finally got his meal after the rest of us were done eating. We typically give grace, mistakes happen, until we got the bill. The discount was 10% military discount on his meal only. A whopping $1.50 off of an $90 bill (which feels like an insult to military personnel). I think she was afraid to tell her manager about the mess up & the military discount was all she was authorized to give without approval... a little sneaky imo. Overall... we were dsappointed, I really wanted to like it. Maybe your experience will be better. read more

Although we've been living in the area a long time, this was our first visit. Definitely won't be our last. Arrived for brunch on Sunday at 12:30pm. We were pleased at the complimentary coffee for those waiting for a table as well as a delicious "pineapple refresher" drink. (We both had 2!) My wife and I each ordered one of the Benedict's, hers was Florentine, mine was Caprese, and both were excellent. As her side, she had breakfast potatoes that were delicious, and I had a single pancake that was perfect. We decided to split an order of the millionaires bacon, and have never quite had anything like it. A true bacon experience, we could not finish the order that we split, and it was amazing. We each enjoyed a mimosa that was made spot on, served with a nice presentation of fruit garnish. The interior of the restaurant was bright and clean and well appointed. Staff was friendly and attentative. Our server, Summer, was everything you want in a server...attentive but not pestering, very friendly and personable, answered every question and made sure everything was perfect when it arrived. Again great experience. The only thing we regret is that it took this long to find Hemmingway's. We will be back soon. read more

Loved the atmosphere of this place! Went to brunch with a group of friends + kiddos and the staff was so nice to seat us in our own space. The servers were patient, friendly and attentive (we had sort of a large group). The food was delicious! I got the corned beef hash bowl which was tasty. Do not recommend whatsoever. First time here and it was so unwelcoming as soon as we walked in (they close at 2:30 and we walked in at 1:45pm) the lady just told us to wait and while she's looking to see where she sits us another server comes in and says 'don't sit me and someone else, we're cut' I thought it was odd to say that in front of customers (I served for years) another server says to sit us in her section. It took a while for us to order because everyone was too busy cleaning to get out of there. My latte was TRASH. It was cold and it was more like an espresso shot with a lot of foam. Our food was really good! Unfortunately we got to experience more people walking in when servers are gossiping and sitting in the bar area and annoyed that people are walking in although it was not even 2pm. They bring a couple and their kid in and the server that brought them back yells at the other server that they have a table and it shouldn't be too long because it's just a couple and a kid. Anyways... after finishing our meal we hear one server saying out loud in front of customers 'wow I can't believe they tipped that. They usually never do' ... once again what an odd thing to say in front of customers. Almost suggesting that because of their race they wouldn't tip. Ambiance was ok.
