Me and my bestie met up with a few of her friends and went for late night bingo to celebrate her birthday. We got there right before the first session was starting so we initially had to play on paper because all of the computers were sold out. I had a good old time stamping the numbers out with my purple ink (AKA bingo bubles). LOL Thank goodness Norma was a bingo pro because she ended up teaching me how to mark my paper bingo cards and how to play all of the side games including Trolls, Elvis, 3x Lucky, and Horse/Racetrack/Jockeys. People who aren't staying for the second session turn in computers before they leave, so we played on computers for round 2. I catch on quickly so by the second session, I was able to play on paper and with a computer at the same time (like I was a pro). Ha! We had gotten a sheet cake from HEB earlier that day and there were only 5 of us in our group, so we shared cake with the bingo hall staff and other people sitting at our tables. We had a great time that night! I'm keeping my bingo ink/bubbles so hopefully I'll win BIG the next time I get a chance to play!

Personally, I find this method lackluster as it kills the instant gratification of feeling like you're one step closer to winning. You'll find people crazed with tablets here. I even spotted one woman managing an astonishing 33 tablets all by herself (yes, I counted--how could you not). In addition to the main bingo games, there are smaller side games available for purchase, overseen by the bingo staff. While food is available for purchase onsite, bringing your own is also an option.

The last few times we went over a span of this last year we have seen the foam mats warp (so kids trip over them), trash and crumbs (we go opening hours on Sundays so they aren't cleaning before opening or at closing the previous day. Wall paint in bathrooms are peeling away. Most of the games at the arcade are not functioning properly, are out of order or haven't been maintained. I'm not even going to mention the ticket distribution and prizes. The last time we went, I noticed the casing on the toddler swing toy was completely gone. I mentioned it to the staff and was met with, " there's nothing we can do about it now". While that can be true, you could convey some kind of acknowledgement, apology or genuine concern versus irritation. Eventually staff went and did their best to remedy that particular situation. There's also an area for foam balls to fly out of a machine for kids to play and they were filled with the plastic ball put ones so it wasn't really working. I brought it up to staff and they just shrugged it off and said kids take them and so they are probably all around the place in ball pits. (Again we came at opening). So that particular area doesnt really function as intended, because it has a drop down basket for the foam balls and cannons to shoot the balls from. Overall it is just looking more run down each time we have gone and by this point it seems like it wasn't accidental. It's a shame because I have fond memories going when my oldest was a baby and that's why I don't give it a lower rating.

Apparently they moved it from its original location and now it's next to the zoo and u think it's actually owned by the zoo. The carousel was also super fun and the only ride where parents are allowed on (and for free with your child). I like the carousel has a more of a galloping motion instead of a straight up and down motion. We came on the weekend after Christmas in the early afternoon and spent about 1.5 hours here. They dont have attendants at each ride but it's easy to get their attention if they aren't at a ride that you want to go on. It's not busy by any means, but there were a few kids on most rides with her. No Lines which is important for an impatient kid! Overall, great for the 3-6yo age range! Brings back all the nostalgia too of when I was a kid and went on these rides! Happy 100 anniversary Kiddie Park!
