He needed to be reminded that 'WE' the customers pay his wages, NOT the company! Turns out he is the owner. Go figure. Perhaps some re-training in franchise quality standards on how to treat potential new customers with money to spend would certainly be in order. I will not be contributing to his wages and taking my head gasket replacement elsewhere where my money is more appreciated with a at least a welcome, and appropriate mannerism... for starters! As many competitors offer - you and your money... deserve better!

I had been calling around to find out what a Transmission service would cost for my 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 with only 51K miles on her - the prices I was getting from a local dealership and a few other auto repair shops were about double to what it said it should cost per another google search. Tony was spot on. I had called him up and he gave me a quote over the phone, said he could do it the next morning, so away I went - he said it'd take a few hours and that was about right when I got the call 2.5 hours later that the truck was done. He replaced the fluids in the tranny along with the filter, checked the bands, did an engine oil change gratis with the filter and oil I supplied. He is a man of his word, a good communicator and an absolute pleasure to do business with. So in my departing he relayed his findings and observations, and had a list of a few recommendations of things that should be addressed in the future that they found while working on the truck to keep it in top shape, he was wonderful in the way that he explained everything in detail making it easy to understand. BEWARE! The manager told me my 1996 VW Jetta required special transmission fluid on my initial…read morevisit. After informing me that my auto transmission had "massive issues" and needed to be rebuilt, I told him I wasn't about to spend thousands of dollars on it. I told him to replace the fluid and I would come and get it. He was very confrontational and told me that was a waste of money. He pushed me to have it rebuilt even though I told him several days earlier that I was only prepared to spend $200 on the servicing. This transmission has a very minor delay first thing in the morning. All I wanted was to have the fluids topped off. This guy then replaces the fluid with regular AT fluid and tells me he does it all the time. He told me that VW has falsely scared owners into using "their stuff". Wow, was I confused. So I called VW and they informed me that "under no circumstances" should I use regular ATF. VW told me that the 2 are not compatible and that I would end up doing more damage. So this PDS guy tells me it needs the special fluid but then changes his mind 3 days later and tells me he uses the regular ATF all the time. Crazy! This outfit comes across as very shady and crooked. The manager (owner?) Pat even gave me crap because he thought I was late for my appointment. He told me he had to bump me as I was late for my 8:30am appointment. Well Pat, the appointment was scheduled for 9am and I arrived at 9:05am to find you were not even there. I stood in the reception for 19 minutes (until 9:24 if you can't add) waiting for you to roll in. Your staff didn't even have the courtesy to acknowledge me there and then I got scolded for "being late" and getting "bumped". This outfit is a scam and I will not be surprised when the doors close. Poor management/ownership and staff with no class or courtesy. Save your money, sanity and vehicle; Go anywhere else! My Jetta is now at the local VW dealer getting the proper attention now. What a world of difference! I'm just sorry I didn't take it there in the first place.

I came into the shop for a out of province inspection. I was told by the owners son that my…read morewindshield needed to be replaced in order to pass the inspection. He gave me a quote for the windshield and recalibration and we agreed for me to come in June 11th. When I arrived 830 am to Harry's to drop off my vehicle I was told when I came back at 12 pm by his son that he subcontracted out the glass work. I wasn't told by him when I agreed to bring in my 2021 jeep grande Cherokee that he didn't do glass replacement. I didn't agree to the subcontract or anyone other then someone from Harrys driving my vehicle. However, he still allowed a tech from 20/20 glass pick up and drive my vehicle from Harry's to 20/20 glass shop 20 minutes away where my vehicle was completely destroyed and now no one is taking accountability. Harry's is saying they aren't responsible and 20/20 glass is telling me that it's not their issue they destroyed the interior of my vehicle. Harrys Napa auto pro allowed their subcontractor to completely destroy me vehicle and cause thousands of damages. Harrys also then approved the out of town inspection knowing the front windshield was installed incorrectly, was not calibrated properly, auto braking was no longer working and blind spot sensors not working and that the windshield and rear view mirror was crooked and out of line. Harry's son also told me to swap my insurrance today and commit fraud against ICBC by making them deal with the damage to my vehicle by submitting a claim to them, even though the damage occurred at time of windshield replacement while still insured and registered in Alberta. 20/20 auto glass reinstalled my rear view mirror crooked, the windshield rattles now and my safety sensors aren't all working as they were when the vehicle was taken in for glass replacement. They cut an inch into my roof lining and destroyed my interior leaving black glue on my door handles, interior dash and steering wheel. I called the both Harry's auto a few minutes after pick up and 20/20 auto glass to explain the situation he told me to go fuck myself. Then he hung up on me. I went to the shop with my 10 year old son so get the owner to address the damage that done to my interior by 20/20 and he blew me off and told me if I was going to do anything or call insurance or the cops that they better show up to 20/20 before 5 pm because he has a hockey game to go to. The windshield was also installed crooked and there are uneven gaps in the sealing of the windshield. The owner ripped off the windshield tape when I showed up to show him the damages and issues that happened today at his shop, during the windshield pull and reinstall and told me that the windshield was rattling because of the glass tape leaving a gluey tar mess on my paint and windshield right before he told me his hockey game was more important then addressing the shitty workmanship and the destruction of my property. He attempted to gas light me into accepting defected and inadequate repairs. I was also told to fraudulently report it to icbc when I got my vehicle insured knowing that the vehicle is currently insured in Alberta and the damages from the 20/20 glass shop done by the technician occurred prior to the vehicle being insured with ICBC. Avoid these people at all cost. They do not care about the quality of their work, do not own up to their mistakes, take advantage of clients and attempt to gaslight you into accepting the thousands of dollars of damage they cause to your vehicle while doing a windshield glass replacement, they swear at their clients in fron of clients kids when you call to address major concerns with their work. I will be submitting a claim to the BBB filing a police report and contacting my insurance company. And as well as ICBC regarding their business practices.

Back in those days they bent over backwards without an ask to ensure customers would return over and over. Staff argued with me that MY tires had a 100K rating when the manufacturer and competitors clearly stated the tires were good for 115K when I originally purchased them This year they are currently rated for 100K. They lowered the rating due to early wear problems is my guess. Mine had only 62K on them. They should have had only 54% wear. They're now down to 3-4 mm where safety on wet roads is compromised. At first the sales person gave me a full retail quote. I had to push for the warranty reduction which he knew I was there for. Then they offered to sell me more crap for full pop retail minus 25ish%. Never again! I will take our family vehicles elsewhere and make sure everybody that I know hears this true story. Bye Kal Tire. 20 yr customer gone!
