I hired hello tech based on a recommendation to install a ring 2 doorbell as a gift to my cousin. Apparently, Hello Tech sent a tech that is familiar with ring product. The technician got caught up talking about his side business (hypnotherapy) that he never checked the door bell prior to leaving. He had me so distracted talking about his side business of healing the mind/body with Hypnotherapy that I was anxious to get him to leave. Weird!! The tech went too much about his side business . The existing door bell no longer works after he left. He left contact information and when I called, he offered no solution other than me calling ring.com for a resolution. He even suggested I call him back to find out what the problem was. Hello you installed my Ring Doorbell 2 and now my inside chime no longer works. I called Hello Tech to first be told, you have to contact ring.com, then to we will send out a tech on Monday, to now contact ring.com for an escalation to have a tech come out. Poor custoer support to the highest degrees. read more

My screen was blinking on my Dell Windows 10, and after 4 hours trying different troubleshoots from the web, I gave up. I googled Geek Squad, and Geekatoo came up . the guy I spoke to sounded like a call center in India, but very pleasant and asked for 2 windows in which they could call to come, and promised 24-48 availability. The tech called me that night, and we scheduled for next day. He arrived promptly, and in an hour had me back and running. Very knowledgeable and answered questions I had about Windows 10 profiles. First, although Nathaniel sent a text to let me know that he was finishing up another job, he didn't arrive until 1hr and 30min after my scheduled appointment of 3pm. Upon arrival no apologies given for being late. Next, he didn't have overshoes (booties) to wear while performing work in my home so I asked him to remove his shoes, which he did. Finally, the job of hanging my tv on the wall with cord concealment was not accomplished. The tv was hung, but no cord concealment took place. I asked the tech if his advanced stud finding device was able to locate a fire block (horizontal piece of wood behind the wall used to prevent fires from spreading). After explaining what the purpose of a fire block was it didn't appear that he'd ever heard of something like that before as his response was "wouldn't that piece of wood help to spread the fire?" He was pretty confident that his advanced stud finder would find such a block and as such he did a hasty search and believing all was clear and there was no such block started the work of cutting out two holes in my wall. When he ran his fish tape through one of two large holes he'd just cut into my wall he discovered the fire block. He tried getting around the block by feeding fish tape through both holes in my wall, but was unsuccessful. So, not only were my cords not concealed, I was left with damage to my wall and insulation resulting in two holes that can't be used and is in need of repair. I don't believe the tech has dealt with such an issue and was therefore not equipped to find a solution that allowed him to navigate to a successful outcome for me, the customer. He also took a call and was overheard telling the person with whom he was talking that he didn't care about customer service. Customer service is and should be everything.... This was not a good first experience for me being a new customer. read more

If I could give less than one star I would. I went to their website to get my Sony DVD/CD Changer repaired and was very hopeful because their site has entire page making grandiose claims about how wonderfully and quickly they repair virtually everything in the world, even coming to your home to do it. I was excited because I'm a senior citizen and disabled. But when I used their Chat I was told they don't do that kind of support. So I phoned their 800 number and was told THEY DON'T DO ANY ACTUAL REPAIRS OF ANYTHING AT ALL; all they do is install your perfectly working equipment. This makes their entire website a maximumly misleading lie. Shame on them. DO NOT TRUST LIARS!!! Take your business and money somewhere else. read more

I try to use hello tech to mount a 65 inch television to the wall above my fireplace. When I called to make the appointment I made it very clear, stating several times it was over a fireplace. I also mentioned several times, the size of the television and the make of the television. When the technician got here he was alone even though they said they would need two people. He told me that he checked the work order earlier and it didn't say he needed an extra person, yet when he looked at it in my house it had the need for an extra person in the work order. He then said because it was above the fireplace they were going to have to charge me more than they had told me it would cost. After calling his manager, and going back-and-forth about how clear I made it on the phone, and that I was told a certain price, he told me there was nothing he could do. The manager said he had to charge me that amount and the best he could do was get me a discount for a second appointment charge since they were going to have to come back with the second technician. Of course we said no to these additional charges. On his way out, the technician got sarcastic with me and I asked him please not to do that, as I had not been disrespectful to him. The technician was a little abrusive and had to get help from Ring technical support to assist him with my setup. He was dress in rinkel clothing that had dog or cat hair all over it. He was very impatient during the setup and I had to assist continuously on how to properly hide the cord that goes from the Solar Panel to the Stickup Camera. My camera wasn't placed in the best spot to view people standing at my front door and now I have to pay someone else to move the camera. read more
