They were very quick to respond to my initial request with the information I needed. After exchanging some necessary information, we scheduled an install date. Their pricing was very competitive. Jake was very communicative. He sent a reminder and on the day of install, kept me informed of his arrival time, etc. He was right on time. He began his work and was incredibly thorough in his approach. He unmounted my old/dead TV and prepped for the new one. Once he got it mounted, everything looked great with all the cables hidden. When I called to confront him about this ludicrous statement he told me to "shut up"! Being a business owner for nearly 2 decades I truly understand customer service and ethical conduct as a business owner and Phillip Ampel the owner of AAA is probably one of the most unprofessional, dishonest individuals I have come across. Ricardo the owner is soft spoken, polite and knowledgeable in what he does. He mostly oversaw the job remotely and had his less experienced team work on the job. The job took longer than expected. He did show up to the job site with the goal of finishing the work, however, he left without completing the job. There is a hole in the wall that Ricardo said he would come back and patch; and a video doorbell that Ricardo said he would come back and make audible (from inside the house) when someone rings the doorbell. Without an audible doorbell ringer, the video doorbell is not effective even when people are in the house. Notifications on the phone are unsatisfactory with regards to video doorbells because I don't always have my phone near me to see the video doorbell notification come through letting me know someone is at the door. There is a loud electrical buzzing sound that is coming from the video doorbell adapter. We unplugged this from the wall, therefore, we no longer have a working video doorbell. My experience with Mount Atlanta is not good because there has been no response regarding fixing our concerns once Ricardo got paid in full.

With a 1.06 BBB rating, Vivint Smart Home is well-known for employing a large commission based door to door sales and high pressure, deceptive tactics. Monty, the marketing manager with an incredible offer, started off friendly enough. Then came the invasive questions. "What do you do? How many smart devices do you have? Who's your alarm company? How much do you pay? It's wireless? The WiFi could go down. It's wired? Someone could cut the phone line.. We have smart thermostats." I have 2. "Vivint is compatible!" Monty pulled out his fancy iPad which showed pics of him smiling with families, impressive flood lights that follow intruders, garage door openers, cameras, large HD screens. Everything but the cost. When I said I'd prefer to read the reviews first Monty pulled up the Forbes rating. All the while, he kept trying to come inside so we could "talk." After about 25 minutes of upsell attempts, he ball-parked an $80 monthly quote. I asked for a card. "It's virtual." Monty wouldn't email me or leave info so I could have time to decide. Finally, I gave him a fake phone # to get him to leave! Vivint has settled multiple lawsuits. Impersonating salespeople steal personal info from consumers to apply for fraudulent loans to increase their commission. Bad credit? Reps find someone with a similar name and run their credit or add a cosigner without consent. Then the cosigner is contacted by a Vivint debt collector! Vivint paid millions for tricking customers into signing high-priced, multi-year contracts that were impossible to cancel. Vivint charges more than the contract says, sells faulty equipment, won't produce receipts, renews contracts without consent, misinforms customers about their cancellation policy and charges customers after they cancel. If a Vivint rep comes knocking, do not answer or give out any information. Buyer beware!!!
