I received a wax earlier this week and it was honestly the worst waxing experience I have ever had. I have been getting waxed for seven yrs, five of which have been with European Wax Center. I switched to Sugar Me Wax because the price was a bit cheaper and my first experience went well. This time I went the room was hot (the AC was barely working) and the waxer, who was personally very sweet, got the wax stuck in my hair multiple times and had to pull it out slowly, which was extremely painful. I'm not sure if it's due to lack of training or the temperature of the room, but I am seriously considering cancelling my membership. read more

I LOVE this place. I've tried many different waxing places and I feel like Sugar Me is the best. Lexis did my waxing and she was so nice, quick, and did an outstanding job. She didn't miss a spot. I'm now a convert. The only negative thing (which isn't that bad) is that this place is hidden. It's in a plastic surgery office with no mention of Sugar Me on the door. So when you get your appointment confirmation email pay attention to where it tells you they're located. Then you won't have any issues. read more

I wish I was able to rate this place on product and actual service but never got that far. Tried to schedule their promo free bikini wax but it was all over text and the person on the other side takes 15-30 to text back after each question. After deciding my appointment time I asked which location only to be told the appointment was on the other side of town 30 minutes away. I decided I would take the extra drive so I could get in sooner than my neighborhood location. The person texting kept trying to upsell me but I was driving to the far location so I couldn't text back until I got there only to find out that person never put in the the schedule. This system is terrible and time consuming. There is no real person to talk to on the phone. I wanted to leave 1 star but I hope this is just a one off and not normal. read more

Went to Kaylyn yesterday to get my brows waxed and I'm so sad how they turned out. I originally had full thick brows and she completely waxed them down to a super thin shape that aren't even symmetrical. My left brow has always had a higher arch and she waxed the top arch off and left my ends super thin. I've never had my brows get waxed off this much. For all your other wax needs, I'm sure this place is great but this is not the place to get your brows done. Extremely disappointed with the results and surprised that this shop even allows their employees to wax brows when they're obviously not certified to do so. read more

It's very unfortunate that I would have to leave 1 star. The Esthetician's, I mean every one of them that has performed a service has been excellent! My SOLE issue is with the individuals behind the texts and billing process (the other folks in customer service). Hands down if negative stars could be provided this would be that review. Where do I start? June of 2021 I knew my September appt would be off of my billing cycle due to a planned vacation. I began inquiring then about the how's and what's to avoid the very billing issue I ended up having. At every appt a different receptionist would advise how easy it is. I would just advise the esthetician performing the service in September to "pause" my upcoming montly membership fee. Of course I did and OF COURSE they double billed me. Not realizing this until I get a notication of a bill on a credit card that should be at $0 balance. I began contacting them via their HORRIFIC mandated text service. Who does complete business via text? I have exchanged some pretty mean texts with this company over the months because alot is lost in the translation of a text message. Calling me "gorgeous" just doesn't seem to cut it, you know. So here it is Tuesday 4 days later after being sent several TEXTS saying a Manager will "call" me soon. Nothing... I really wanted this company to redeem themselves with refunding my card the over charges and I mean let's be real here, some kind of compensation. Nah nothing nadda.. it really sucks because they have an amazing team of estheticians! This review is not even to boycott the brand or tell pple not to go there. This is to let pple know my experiences with this company and them having access to bill my card was the WORST decision! I would not recommend it at all ever! Who in their right mind wants to sit on the phone with a credit card company disputing charges from Sugar Me Wax? Not me, but unfortunately it's gonna be me later lol.. read more

Seems like I'm not the only one who had this issue when arriving to the salon. When I arrived, it was hard to find the entrance mainly because all lights seemed to be off and doors were locked. The salon looked closed! I was calling, texting and emailing for a good 10 minutes until someone called me when I was on my way out of the parking lot. The service was ok, the lady was very sweet. However, I had paid for a groupon deal for a "sugar wax". I assumed since I had confirmed my appt and all that I was finally gonna get to try this sugar wax stuff. Little to my dismay, as I had my legs wide open on the wax table, I mentioned how excited I was about trying this Sugar wax when she notifies me, "I don't do sugar wax" and suggested rescheduling for that service. I was slightly annoyed because she then went on and on about how sugaring is not that great.. and not really good unless u have sensitive skin.. etc. I of course went through with the wax considering I was on my back with my bare ass out. I got a Brazilian done and I know I had waited a good minute for my nxt waxing, but the process took longer then usual. It also seemed all over the place. I really do like the wax they use tho.. it was phenomenal! made out titanium or something like that.. it wasn't too painful which I appreciated. I'd like to give them another try but they are mighty pricey and the whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

My experience with Carly was very pleasant! She was both professional and personable. I was in and out quickly and with little discomfort. The studio was a bit hard to find; there is a downstairs studio and an upstairs studio depending on who you're booked with. The studios are in a large shared space-rental type of building. Also, the number seemed to be "disconnected" when I first called. I ended up getting through when I called again but I was confused on whether or not they had a working number. I had a living social for a sugar, I explained this when I made the appt. Yet the appt was at the camelback Location and they don't do sugaring (didn't know this until they called into the room 15 minutes late). Got the wax because it's 2 days before my wedding and I couldn't reschedule. The woman appeared very inexperienced, she only ripped off wax in very small sections and I have several deep red patches and a bruise over 24 hours later. But she felt the need to comment "oh you must have a low pain tolerance." Yea, one of the more painful waxes I've gotten and I've been waxing for years. She also left several patches of hair, this after she took out the tweezers and said "oh you don't even need tweezers, there's no hair left." I would not return for another wax. read more

Just had the worst experience. Scheduled an appointment after having been gifted a groupon at the Arrowhead location and was super excited about it. If my experince went well I was planning on making it my monthly go to place. While I was waiting outside the suite (door wide open) the two estheticians began trashing groupon customers and non-membership members. And I mean trashing them! As I sat there in shock staring at the groupon I was so excited to redeem I quickly began to feel incredibly uncomfortable and disrespected. I couldn't believe how nonchalent they were, trashing paying customers who could potentially become long term customers with the door wide open and a customer waiting patiently outside! I had heard enough and got up and walked out. I did not want to suport people who would be so disrespectful and who would intentionally do a half ass job as I heard them say. Needless to say I will not be recommending this particular location or its employees. This experience has left a bad impression on me and makes me extremely heistant to redeem my groupon at any point. I only hope their other locations are not like this read more

I'm a visitor from out of state and desperately needed a wax. My appt was made with Angelique..I was 1 1/2 early for my appointment..she was able to accommodate me and take me early. Angelique was very professional with amazing customer service. I was concerned about using soft wax, most of my previous waxes has always been with hard wax. She made me very comfortable and explained the reason why she use soft vs hard during some of the waxing service. Waxes are never painless, however I can say this is the 1st wax that didn't make me entirely apprehensive. I would highly recommend this salon. read more
