Selection was a bit limited--little to no plain plates or bowls were available which I was hoping for our wedding cake-cutting plate. We ended up going with a much smaller plate that was available. I had a good experience overall with the Hello Pottery experiment itself. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made the activity enjoyable. My group had a great time painting, and the workers were professional and kind. However, I had an issue with the deposit and refund process. I made a reservation for 6 people and was asked to make a $60 deposit. When it was time to pay for our painting, I asked if the deposit could be applied to the total, and I was told no--that it would be refunded to my original payment method instead. More than two weeks went by and I still hadn't received my refund. I had to call every day to follow up. Each time, the owner told her employees that i talked to she would process the refund, but it didn't happen. It was only after calling daily for over two weeks that I finally received my $60 refund. The experience itself was great, but the refund process was frustrating and disappointing. I hope they improve their communication and refund handling in the future. read more

We made reservations online for a random family activity. We have never done pottery painting before but over all the experience was fun and would come here again. There is a range of items that you can choose from their wall. They have plates, bowls, mugs, jewelry holders, piggy banks and random items. They all have a set price and the bottom so we were definitely looking for a cheap option. I will say the items are on the pricer side the lowest I saw was $28 and higher end was $88 being the most. They add on a $12 dollar fee per item for the firing and glazing. There is a turn around time of 7-12 days for items to be finished and called to be picked up. As stated before the experience was nice. The host provides you with a brief description of what to paint and what not to paint however the instructions are placed on the table as well. The host will ask you to choose 5 colors and they'll dispense as needed. I'm assuming this is to prevent excess waste and cut expenses. I hope our party was not annoying constantly asking for more paint lol as it was a bit annoying to ask for refills. However, the host was attentive and came and dispensed as our paint began to finish. The brushes are provided as well- I will say they could use a change to higher quality brushes since they were kind of flimsy and not precise when it came down to detail work. We came on Wednesday evening so it was pretty slow and it was just our party here. Due to this our experience was exceptional and had the place to ourselves. I would recommend this when you want some down time and want some time to bond with the party you are here with :) Worth a try if you have a date night, family night, want to bring your kiddo here or you just want to destress however I'll say save a bit of coins! read more

I brought 4 tweens here for my daughter's birthday. They all decided to make these hair brushes with the cream glue and resin. The staff was very nice and everyone had a great time, however, each brush came out to over $40. The embellishments on one girl's brush came off the next day when she accidentally dropped it. My daughter's came off shortly after. The other two girls are keeping the brushes as souvenirs and not using them at all, but if they do, theirs will likely break off too. While it was a fun activity, it's not worth it given the extremely high price and lack of durability. read more

My daughter and I made a reservation online to do some cream glue crafts. Jaelyn, the girl working did an amazing job explaining everything to us and providing us with our supplies. We each chose two different color glues that came in icing pipettes. There were so many cute charms to choose from! We got to choose 20 charms each for our projects based on their size. I decorated a phone case and my daughter made a pencil case. Because of the glue needing time to dry, they suggested we come back after about 5 days to pick up our projects. You can take the cream glue crafts home right away though if you wish but you have to be super careful. It was really fun and a great activity to do together. They have other projects you can do as well such as painting ceramics, knitting a bag, etc. They can also do parties here. I will definitely come back! I made a reservation the day before on their website, and when I walked in I was immediately welcomed by their staff member Katherine. She was so lovely and helpful, and she walked me through the process super easily. There's a great variety of pieces of pottery to choose from, and once you pick one you're allowed five paint colors to use for the duration. Katherine was really great about refilling my paints when they ran out! Definitely use multiple layers of paint while you work, and try to use smooth strokes so that your piece doesn't come out patchy.
