Extremely disappointing experience at Hello Pottery today. We arrived as walk-ins around 1:15 PM and understood that reservations take priority. What we didn't expect was the rude, dismissive attitude from a staff or the complete lack of effort to accommodate us despite multiple open tables. Our time that was suggested to us kept getting pushed back from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM and eventually to Sunday! We were also told there were "limited resources and materials," despite the studio appearing stocked. Most frustratingly, nowhere on their website or social media does it clearly say that Saturdays are especially busy or that reservations are recommended. Had we known, we absolutely would have made one. We understand having policies, but there's a right way to communicate them. We came in ready to spend money and enjoy ourselves, but instead left feeling like our business wasn't wanted. Customer service and basic courtesy go a long way and unfortunately, neither was provided today.
Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend Hello Pottery Del Amo. I booked a birthday activity for my daughter with 7 girls, making the reservation two weeks in advance and confirming it earlier that week. Two hours before our appointment, while the girls were already at the mall, I was told they did not have enough charms for our group and that we could either use the limited selection or choose another activity. Since it was my daughter's birthday and we were already there, we had no real alternative. The girls chose pottery painting instead, which ended up costing almost twice as much because we had to pay additional firing fees. We were told the projects would be ready in 2-3 weeks and that they would contact me. After a month, I had still heard nothing. My email was ignored, so I eventually went to the store myself. The employee who helped me was nice and tried to locate the projects, but after about 30 minutes, they found them stuffed in a bag behind the storage area with dirty bubble wrap. One of the seven projects was missing. The manager could not be reached, and no one offered a refund for the missing $40 project. Instead, I was simply told to wait another two weeks while they tried to find it. For a business that is supposed to provide a fun experience, this was incredibly frustrating and poorly handled. Very poor communication, organization, and customer service. I would recommend choosing another location or another business altogether.
Came to Hello Pottery for an anniversary activity and really enjoyed our time! Staff was very friendly, explained everything thoroughly. They even decorated our table which was very thoughtful! Selection was a bit limited--little to no plain plates or bowls were available which I was hoping for our wedding cake-cutting plate. We ended up going with a much smaller plate that was available. Pricing seemed comparable to other paint your own pottery, the location is convenient and they are open much later than their competitor down crenshaw.
We made reservations online for a random family activity. We have never done pottery painting before but over all the experience was fun and would come here again. There is a range of items that you can choose from their wall. They have plates, bowls, mugs, jewelry holders, piggy banks and random items. They all have a set price and the bottom so we were definitely looking for a cheap option. I will say the items are on the pricer side the lowest I saw was $28 and higher end was $88 being the most. They add on a $12 dollar fee per item for the firing and glazing. There is a turn around time of 7-12 days for items to be finished and called to be picked up. As stated before the experience was nice. The host provides you with a brief description of what to paint and what not to paint however the instructions are placed on the table as well. The host will ask you to choose 5 colors and they'll dispense as needed. I'm assuming this is to prevent excess waste and cut expenses. I hope our party was not annoying constantly asking for more paint lol as it was a bit annoying to ask for refills. However, the host was attentive and came and dispensed as our paint began to finish. The brushes are provided as well- I will say they could use a change to higher quality brushes since they were kind of flimsy and not precise when it came down to detail work. We came on Wednesday evening so it was pretty slow and it was just our party here. Due to this our experience was exceptional and had the place to ourselves. I would recommend this when you want some down time and want some time to bond with the party you are here with :) Worth a try if you have a date night, family night, want to bring your kiddo here or you just want to destress however I'll say save a bit of coins!

came to Hello Poetry with my little girls and we had a nice time. it felt good to sit and be a little creative together. My girls enjoyed it and it was nice seeing them have fun. Overall it's a good spot to relax and do something creative. Glad we stopped by.
Literally just walked by and spontaneously decided to make something! Attentive and kind worker so don't be scared for ask questions. Tables are organized and clean with direction placemats (which I might have not read because I was too excited). Such a cute bonding date place. Highly recommend to come with friends. You can also do the cute squeezy gel looking phone cases, claw clips, mirrors... might do that next time.
I brought 4 tweens here for my daughter's birthday. They all decided to make these hair brushes with the cream glue and resin. The staff was very nice and everyone had a great time, however, each brush came out to over $40. The embellishments on one girl's brush came off the next day when she accidentally dropped it. My daughter's came off shortly after. The other two girls are keeping the brushes as souvenirs and not using them at all, but if they do, theirs will likely break off too. While it was a fun activity, it's not worth it given the extremely high price and lack of durability.
Definitely a gem brought into Del Amo mall!! They offer so many fun DIY projects! But my friend and I decided to try the fluid art & painting my ceramic cactus! It was such a fun calming experience! I never seen a DIY where you can decorate phone cases, hair clips, mirrors, pencil cases etc with cream glue!! It's probably the most adorable things to see! The creativity that comes with it is so fun! Definitely recommend coming here for a fun date, sibling/ friend date!!

As soon as you walk in, the store is extremely clean and organized. On the shelves are the most cutest items to decorate. There are a variety of items anywhere from phone cases to notebooks to plates and cups and more! The staff was very friendly and informative. It is a cute convenient place to take a break from shopping and rest. The location is near the main hall to the food court. Highly recommend!

I was looking for something fun and different to do with my nieces and came across Hello Pottery at Del Amo Mall. Before heading over, I gave them a call to see if we needed a reservation. They told me walk-ins are totally fine, but if you're planning to go on a weekend, it's better to book ahead because it can get pretty busy. When we walked in, the first thing I noticed was how cute the store was! There were so many different DIY projects to choose from that it took us a while to decide. We ended up doing the cream glue project and picked the smaller items--a hanging accessory and a claw clip. It was $28 per project, plus a $5 studio fee. Once we checked in, they handed each of us an adorable teddy bear basket to collect our supplies. We got to choose up to 10 charms and one color of cream glue, which was honestly one of the hardest parts because everything was so cute. Before we started, one of the employees demonstrated a few different cream glue techniques and showed us the best way to place the charms, which was really helpful since it was our first time. The whole experience was so relaxing and surprisingly addicting. We spent a good amount of time decorating. It felt like such a fun way to unplug and just be creative together. The only thing to keep in mind is that you don't get to take your project home the same day. The cream glue needs time to fully cure, so they told us it would be ready for pickup in about 5-10 days. Parking was easy since it's inside Del Amo Mall, and there was plenty available. Overall, I'd definitely recommend Hello Pottery if you're looking for a unique activity for a girls' day, family outing, date, or even just some solo creative time. We'll definitely be back to try one of their other DIY projects! read more

The good: I made reservations in advance for my daughter's birthday to do a resin craft. We ended up doing the painting craft and I painted a spoon rest while my kid chose a piggy bank. There are many other crafts to choose from. The space accommodates private or semi-private parties as well. There were many paint colors to choose from. The space inside was cute and inviting. The bad: They were out of colors for the resin craft so we did the paint craft instead. I think it's more expensive than Color Me Mine. The interesting: They'll send you a text when your pottery is ready for pickup. It took around a week for the turnaround. read more

It was such a nice experience to paint the pottery! There are a lot of options to pick to paint and the colors to pick came out in a great pastel color. I recommend layering the paint if you want it more vibrant. A fun cozy experience to do with friends if you want a chill morning! read more

This was my first time ever painting pottery, and it went so wonderfully! I made a reservation the day before on their website, and when I walked in I was immediately welcomed by their staff member Katherine. She was so lovely and helpful, and she walked me through the process super easily. There's a great variety of pieces of pottery to choose from, and once you pick one you're allowed five paint colors to use for the duration. Katherine was really great about refilling my paints when they ran out! Definitely use multiple layers of paint while you work, and try to use smooth strokes so that your piece doesn't come out patchy. Here's a picture of the paint selection and one of the mug I painted, can't wait for when it's ready for pickup! This is a great spot to do crafts, and it's also very spacious with multiple tables to choose from. read more

Brought my 3 nieces here and they had the best time. They used resin to decorate mirrors and brushes. The staff was amazing...super helpful and explained the best ways to use the resin. This is my second time brining them here and won't be my last. They provided all materials and everything needed. They also had flyers asking customers to review their company for a gift. The gift was not worth the review. They gave out small stickers for patrons who left a positive review as they asked. Will likely never bring my girls here again. As it it far from our home and SUPER EXPENSIVE. Not worth it. read more
