I had such a wonderful experience at Color Me Mine! My daughter and her friend (both 13) went on a Saturday for a fun outing, and it turned into a really special afternoon for all of us. We ended up staying for nearly three hours because they were having such a great time painting and chatting. The studio was clean, bright, and very inviting. The employees were cheerful, knowledgeable, and always ready to help with questions or suggestions, which made the experience even better for the girls. It was my first time at Color Me Mine and the experience went very smoothly. The studio fee is $15/person and then based on the item you choose to paint. I find painting pottery quite stressful, but I guess a fun type of stress? At the end of the day, it is a great therapeutic activity to distract yourself of a heaviness and routine everyday life. The staff here are great! They constantly checked in with our party to make sure we were ok and if we needed anything. All the materials were nicely displayed and available. Most importantly the place was clean. It is also great that they let you bring in food and drinks! They have some cute pieces that I know my kids would enjoy, so I am sure I'll make my way back for another visit. read more

We've been coming here with our son for last couple of years and it truly is fantastic. Plenty of free parking. Easy entrance. Staff are super friendly, great with kids, and very helpful. The ceramic pieces are really cool. Lots of options and different price points. The ability to have truly free rein with getting any colors you would like to manifest your designs is great. Really also like the special writing glazes, just be careful when using with your kids since they have to keep a pin in the top to prevent small hole from clogging. Otherwise no issue. Kids as well as adults (who get to feel like kids again!) all have a blast. Have never been there and someone is unhappy. Definitely recommend!! read more

This was the best Color Me Mine we've ever been to. First off, it's Pretty :) They had great music, a really wide array of items to paint, so many colors of glaze, actual brushes that really work, comfortable seats and tables. And Jennifer was so attentive, changing our water and giving us so many tips - not at all irritated that we used like 27 brushes. Really nice time. We will definitely be back. I went to Color Me Mine in El Segundo with a friend last Wednesday night for their $5 after 5pm promo and I'm so glad we finally made it happen! We'd been talking about going for a while so I was extra excited to finally go. The promotional studio fee discount was welcomed because honestly the regular $15 fee feels a little steep (we planned our visit around the promo on purpose). The price of the pottery pieces was a bit higher than I expected too, my small faceted planter was $26, but I feel like it's more practical and I have plenty of coffee mugs already... The young man working last Wednesday was very helpful and friendly. He explained the whole painting process (three coats minimum!) and showed us where to find all the fun extras like stamps and sponges. I especially loved the display pieces in the studio and the QR codes linking to inspo online which was much appreciated. Even though we painted for over an hour, we didn't quite finish our pieces (perfection takes time...right?). Luckily, we were able to pay and take our in-process creations home and said we could come back to finish another day at no extra charge, which is awesome. We still haven't gone back yet... but we're planning to next week! All in all, it was a really fun, creative, yet relaxing evening and the experience so far has been great. I'm looking forward to finishing up our pieces soon and getting them fired in the kiln! read more

This place was just okay. Been to other places a bit ago in other states and it's better there. The fee per painter is $15 on top of the price of your pottery item. Also when you pay there's an option to tip? But for what? Everything is self service .... Also it was weird when my boyfriend said yes we wanted to be introduced / walked through it, she came over and told us it's self service and that was it. No tips for how to do three coats of when to use the bottle etc. I would say you need to plan at least 90 mins for the painting! read more

We have come here a couple of times and it has been great so far. The staff is super friendly & helpful. My son is so much in stickers but the stickers couldn't go in the fire, so the girl said she would put the stickers in for him when we pick the pottery up. And a couple weeks later, she actually remembers to put them in, that was a surprise for us. We didn't know what to do the first time and they gave us a tour with instructions & some tips. We had fun. They even let us tour the area where they fire the pottery and it was a great experience for my toddler. You can spend a few hours here with no problem. Highly recommended !! read more

My niece and I walked into Color Me Mine on a recent Tuesday and had a blast! The studio is super clean, beautiful, and well-organized, with plenty of neatly-set tables, an entire long wall filled with ceramic pottery pieces (including gorgeously-painted samples), and paints plus more supplies in the back. Options range widely from plates/bowls/cups to servingware to flower pots to ornaments to decorative items. The studio fee is $15 per person, plus the cost of your selected ceramic piece. Aprons are provided, along with paintbrushes, paints, a personal palette, and all sorts of tapes, sponges, stamps, lace, stencils, silkscreens, stickers, toothpicks, paint pens, etc for your artistic needs. Process: 1) Pick your ceramic piece(s) 2) Pick your paint colors 3) Gather your paints onto your mini palette 4) Paint and party! 5) Studio will text you when your piece is ready for pick up! We had a ton of fun picking and painting our monkey piggy bank and Christmas ornament! The very nice staff member recommended 3 layers for an opaque look, which we made sure to do. Our experience was amazing! The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. My group of friends and I had a mildly complicated situation where we had to leave and come back to the store an hour later but, the staff kept our set up and allowed us to come back and pick up right where we left off. We also split the bill in an awkward arrangement but the staff were very understanding and helpful. The place was clean and aesthetic! The atmosphere was very enjoyable and peaceful. Went in for some Galentine fun! Turns out, we had a blast! Destiny was the young lady at the desk that greeted us and walked us thru the process. I have been here before, but 2 people in my party had not. She was very nice and checked on our table frequently for questions and to change our dirty water bowl. I usually tell friends and family to come to this location, because the staff is super friendly, and the music playing is always really good!
