They carry the brand Sympli, which I have worn for years and unfortunately in the state of OKLAHOMA, no one carries it. When I order from Hello Boutique, they respond quickly to my order and ship promptly. If you aren't familiar with Sympli, it travels well and lasts a long time. I am 5'4" & the pants that I ordered seem to be 12 inches too long for me. They are supposed to be an xl but the waist band is small. So I guess they are supposed to be for a extremely tall person. They are extra long instead of xl. Not happy at all with my purchase. Not I am attempting to figure out how to send them back. I called & got a message machine. I emailed but have heard nothing back. The fabric feels awful. I did not even try them out. I would like my money back. Checking out several retailers, I found Hello Boutique was the only one that had what I was looking for in my size--the black Punto pant, in the heavier weave. Initially I ordered what turned out to be the wrong item. Re-ordered, sent back the one I didn't want and received the correct one. NO PROBLEM with the return or receiving the credit ASAP! And, they were SO NICE about it--efficient and understanding. I recently place a rather large order with them.(The lines they carry are perfect for travel!). However, I was out of town and asked that the orders be held until I returned home. AGAIN, NO PROBLEM. I ordered a Bryn Walker dress from them and am delighted. It is the Homer dress in a bright teal, light linen. It is cool, flowing, loose without looking baggy. Everything I need in a Sacramento summer when temperatures regularly go over 100 degrees. I want to get more of these in different fabrics, if possible. The boutique responded to my order promptly, kept me up to date, and I got the dress earlier than expected. I recall this store on Chapel St in New Haven. Several months ago I took a ride to their new location in Hamden CT. i was surprised at how small the store was and the e-commerce activity wa behind curtain strung across the middle of the store. When I asked about items I saw on the website they had samples to show and not necessarily the size and color you want. They are eager to order for you but supplies are not in stock. SCAM ALERT!!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS BOUTIQUE I placed an order for over $600 in merchandise and waited eagerly to receive. After 4 weeks of still not receiving the clothing, I called the boutique. The woman who answered the phone claimed to be the store manager, and sounded unprofessional, distracted and apathetic. She looked up my order and claimed that the designer was 'running late' and that I could expect to receive the clothing 'soon.' I decided it was not worth the battle, so I patiently waited for the package for another two weeks. When I called again and spoke to the same woman, she told me the new wait time for my order was FOUR MONTHS. She was completely unapologetic, and sounded annoyed that I was calling again. I told her I wanted to cancel my order, as I needed the clothes for a trip that was taking place in the next month and I wanted my money back. Initially, she REFUSED TO CANCEL MY ORDER OR REFUND ME FOR WHAT I PAYED AND HAD NOT RECEIVED, and HUNG UP ON ME. I called the boutique back over and over, but they must have caller ID because NO ONE picked up. Finally, two days later I was able to get in touch with a sales woman at the boutique, who said that she could partially refund my card, but that I would have to pay a 15% restocking fee on each item I ordered!!! When I moved back east, I was pleased to see that this shop carried Bryn Walker, as he is one of my favorite designers but does not have his own shops in metro. D.C. While the website is easy for ordering, and the emails from customer service are pleasant enough, the packaging for shipment is worse than unprofessional--it is UNCONSCIOUS. Garments are jammed into what looks like an oversized sandwich baggie, and that is jammed into a cheap plastic bag that tears during shipment. And who is the carrier? The POSTAL SERVICE :-(. My trousers arrived so wrinkled that I spent 15 minutes with my fabric steamer fixing them. It is worth noting that whether I order inexpensive items (sheets from Target) or pricey ones (an evening top from Bergdorf Goodman) they are well-packaged and shipping is FREE, using either FedEx or UPS. This retailer had the gall to charge $9.00 for a package that looked like garbage when it arrived. The business name may include 'Hello', but it is 'goodbye' from me. I can easily order from one of Bryn Walker's shops on the west coast, who will not show such disrespect for the customer and the merchandise. read more
