Head up Route 79 to a little strip of stores next to Klein's Golf Driving Range. The shop is neatly organized and chock full of jeans (American Eagle, Not Your Daughter's) basics, designer handbags (Michael Kors and Coach) home décor items and once again, Lily. In fact, a strapless, silk jersey Lily dress was priced originally at $59, then knocked down to $47.20 after a couple of weeks, and finally $35.40. Amongst the more common brands of shoes was a pair of cream, low-heeled Bruno Magli pumps for $45 and on the clearance rack, a darling black Sgt. Pepper jacket from J. Crew for $6. In housewares, I found a couple dozen black fuzzy hangers, identical to the ones I already have in my closet, for less than 15 bucks. And I saved myself a trip to the overstimulating Bed, Bath and Beyond.

Normally, I don't tend to review apparel stores but my husband and I had such a good experience…read moretoday that I had to deviate from my normal reviews exclusively of restaurants to post this. First, the store is immaculate. Everything is in its own place and easy to navigate ... Even the shoe clearance area is well organized and I never have trouble locating shoes in my size (these areas are disasters at comparable stores). Today specifically though, we had such a great interaction at check-out. The gentleman (Mike, with glasses) was so helpful and made sure we maximized our shopping experience. He was courteous and patient and kind and my husband and I were so pleased with his customer service approach. It is by far the best customer service experience I have had at the Nike store in the many visits I have made. It just took my whole opinion of the store up a notch. My new Air Max sneakers and the little ones for my son also don't hurt the positive take-away either. Thanks Mike!

I do get emails from Coach Outlet online, so when I make a purchase and have something to return, I come here to do it. This was the only option in CT for such a thing until the newer outlets at Foxwoods opened, but that drive from the highway to the Casino sometimes bothers me, so this is still my preferred location if I just need to run in a store or two and am not trying to make an all day event out of outlet shopping. The store is always clean and the associates are always great, willing to help find something if you have shoes you're trying to match or can give them an idea of what you're looking for. They're quick to grab their calculators to give you the price with the percentage off that day. I've never had an issue with returning/exchanging/purchasing and will be back. Also, I noticed the last time I went that there are many newer restaurants in the area! There used to be limited options so I'd sometimes eat in Middletown on the way home, but I'll be trying one of the restaurants near the outlets soon, probably when I'm back shopping for the holidays. The prices in this store are very close to the prices of Coach Online, so don't believe the review on price gauging, the retail prices are what they are, right on the tag, then you get some amount off of the retail price, it's just how it works at all Coach Outlets. Happy shopping!

What I really loved on the last visit were these Save The Duck ultra-lightweight AND water-repellant winter coats that pack up into their own little bag. What more can you ask for, you say? Well, they save the duck, literally...these babies are not down, but PLUMTECH, a padding created "to imitate the fluffiness of down while preserving the advantages of technological thermal insulation". Wow, that's a mouthful. What they mean is, they are warm, lightweight and washable, all very nice features. But, what we really like besides their defense of the poor water fowl is that they're chic, too. Long enough to cover the butt, with those handy up and down zippers, this jacket will NOT turn you into the Michelin Man.
