What a cute place! We almost skipped it... truthfully their Instagram isn't very up to date and I didn't see their have such plentiful vegan options. I'm glad I went! I saw @tusconvegan posted about them and it looked delish. Adorable coffee shop and place to sit. Not empty, not too busy. Very kind barista that helped me decide on the butterfly jasmine matcha. I got soymilk. They also had almond and oat. They also had a ton of vegan pastries. ALSO they had cute stickers with birds. We will be back! read more

I love that Hello Cafe now gets daily baked goods made by Wonderful Sunshine. Their baked goods are pretty and creative and are all vegan. Today I had the Dubai chocolate donut which I enjoyed. The only thing I would have changed about it is that I wish the chocolate top was a less syrupy glaze and more of melted chocolate cover. But that's just a personal preference and I still enjoyed it. I detected a citrusy flavor in the filling. The donut itself wasn't overly sweet which I prefered. I always like visiting here in terms of atmosphere too. They have alternating art from local artists on the walls which is fun to check out. I like their murals too. They also have games and puzzles and also one outdoor table in the front. They have cold water that seemed filtered available on the counter. I love that they do not up-charge for milk alternatives. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite! read more

My Surly Ogre is a tank of a bike and it has gone maintenance free and several thousand miles since the pandemic. In spite of Tucson being an international biking Mecca, the city streets here are still very much the wild west. I had gone through life thus far accident-free but was hit head on by another bicyclist a few weeks ago. The Ogre survived but it was time to get stronger brakes and tires. In Tucson, bicyclists need all the help they can get. Fortunately, Sam is the right guy to spec out the right improvements. He installed Growtac mechanical brakes, Gravel King tires, and a new Chris King bottom bracket. I took the Ogre out this morning and the changes made the bike feel new again. I had read glowing reviews about the Growtac mechanical brakes and, indeed, the stopping power is excellent. (I'd put them up against hydraulic brakes.) The tires give me much more traction on the many streets under construction in the city, too. I've always enjoyed bicycles because there is nothing else for me that provides such a sensory hit of adventure and fun. The little things that Sam did on the tune up added up to a dramatic difference that made for a joyful ride this morning. Thank you, sir! read more

Cool coffee shop that's sort of tucked away but definitely worth finding. The first thing you'll notice is the awesome mural outside, which gives the place a fun vibe. The staff was nice and the coffee was really good. They serve bagels from Bubbles and also offer a selection of vegan pastries. There's seating both indoor and outdoor making it a cool place to hang out. read more

I was absolutely in aw of the changes made to this place since I had last been there. It feels almost different with a brightness and some added goodies. The space has a great arrangement of seating inside and outside, a wonderful selections of games for you to play with whomever, full coffee menu, extra goodies to buy and truly a fantastic line up of VEGAN pastries! MUST TRY Loved it all and will be back very soon. I've already been telling everyone about these pastries, and you should know too :) read more

Great local neighborhood coffee shop in Tucson! We stopped by here on our way back from a hike and were pleasantly surprised. Parking can be challenging because the lot is small. I got a vanilla latte and it was delicious! Not too sweet and the espresso wasn't burnt. They also sell bagels from one of the local bakeries that looked tasty, in addition to their pastries, but we just came for coffee. They have indoor and outdoor seating and there is local art up in the walls for sale. I also liked the community board they had in the back. If you're in the area and need a caffeine/coffee fix, definitely check this place out! read more

Love this cafe for their consistently good coffee drinks, awesome staff and cool space... oh and they are puppers friendly. They have carried local baked goods that we have enjoyed over time... but they have a new partner ( @wonderful___sunshine) and dang... sooo good and what a great combination. Also their prices are very reasonable once you bite into their goods. If you haven't been there for the coffee... worth going. If you haven't been there and checked out this new pastry counter...you should. And if you haven't taken your puppers there to sit with you and enjoy the moment... you should. read more

What a lovely coffee shop. My partner was craving a good coffee so we decided to stop here since I never been there and had good reviews. The attendant was so sweet and patient at explaining some of their options I did see to try their coconut matcha and it was fantastic, I drank the whole thing like in 5 minutes. The americano was excellent per my partners taste buds. They seem to have great treats as well but we couldn't taste them this time since we were going to have dinner soon. I'll be back. read more

I knew about this place for several years but never went.. mainly because I've been to bicycle cafes in the past where it felt more like an afterthought. This isn't one of those places, it's a fully stand alone coffee shop adjacent to the bicycle shop. This is a unique coffee shop, older brick building with a nice interior. It also has a patio in the back which is pretty cool. I've tried the sage latte and cold brew, both are very good. The staff are nice as well. The ultimate highlight for me is the food. They carry pastries that I haven't seen anywhere else, the ding dong is the bomb if you grew up in the 80s or 90s, its like a hybrid of the hostess cup cake and a ding dong. Definitely added to my rotation of favorite coffee shops to go to. read more

I got the lead on this place from a friend and I am not disappointed! I had the matcha latte with oatmilk which they make unsweetened and they'll add a touch of vanilla syrup. ALL THE CHOCOLATES ARE VEGAN. I was going to get a soda and then I asked about vegan/dairy free options. He said, "Soy, almond milk and all of our chocolates are vegan," and I threw my soda back in the cooler. Got a hot chocolate. It is delicious, though only mildly sweet, and didn't pack punch. If you want an intense chocolate flavor, it's only so-so, but if you love mild sweetness it's awesome. read more

I purchased an Electric Bike and I didn't want to finish putting it together myself. Great customer service, a clean well organized shop. The build was done with no problems. This is one of the best undiscovered treasures along the Loop. Not only is it a great neighborhood Cafe and bike shop but it is strategically placed as a perfect stop for a coffee or a pastry as you ride. Very welcoming atmosphere and great facilities. You can see your bike parked out front from inside as well which is a big plus for most cyclists. Love coming here and recommending it to others. read more

I was really excited to have this repair shop right around the corner from my home and work. Got rid of my car, just bought my first ebike, completely new and excited to learn, walked in to get help and was ready to spend money on some items. Met the owner who gave me the bare minimum in customer service his body language, tone, he would only answer direct questions. Had to try to pull information out of him. He was clearly completed disinterested in truly helping me or wanting to get my future business. Made me completely uncomfortable. Will be finding another place to bring my business. Shame because the coffee is decent. read more

Hello Cafe is a cool spot for espresso I usually get iced breve latte. I also bought a Fellow kettle there in December for brewing at home and that thing is awesome, very nice quality. Once again this business does not disappoint. Months ago they remodeled my bicycle and I absolutely love their work and now their cafe is open and everything about it is...FANTASTIC. You can't ask for a better location, right off of the loop, next to some other sensational locally owned businesses. The interior is spacious, hip and embraces the local biking community. Yellow brick coffee (also, locally owned and roasted) is the base for all of the drinks thus far and my latte was both aesthetically pleasing and delicious. Really perfect. Additionally, the prices are very reasonable for such artistry. The sweet vegan treats from Houlden's Rise Above (also locally owned) were rich, flavorful and decadent. We've made this our go-to for morning pre-post biking adventures with friends. Support a new locally owned business...it's a bike ride away! read more

Was able to hit Hello Bicycle and Cafe on a beautifully rainy winter day and loved it! The cafe is small, modern, and has a very neighborhood-lot vibe. I got a coffee and a vegan pastry from Houlden's Rise Above and both were 5/5. The latte I order was plain, but had a sweet rather than bitter taste from their beans. The best part? This cafe is truly a hidden gem. Whether you're walking through the neighborhood, biking your way to the river path, or driving to Tucson Hop Shop Hello Bicycle & Cafe is such an awesome addition to this area. As far as drinks, they're some of the best! With Yellow Brick Coffee which is roasted locally and Chai and other tea options from Maya Tea, all options on the menu are good ones. For food, they have a rotating menu of sweet and savory items from local vegan baker Hannah Houlden of Houlden's Rise Above which are truly a local coffee shop staple in Tucson. If you're coming by later in the day or want a sweet snack to go, they have all kinds of candies from Alana Solis of Dirty T Tamarindo, a local Latina owned business. Haven't had the chance to check out the bike shop side yet but am looking forward to when we can. read more

Such a peaceful and pleasant place. My pineapple mochi was delicious. The dirty chai was what I was hoping it would be.

This is truly a 10-star rating, 5 for the bike shop, and 5 for the cafe. I've had mixed luck getting my bike reliably serviced and upgraded over the years, but Sam (owner) really knows how to take care of it. He understands the latest in equipment, and can make knowledgable recommendations. Since he actually rides, he also knows what works best here in the desert of the Southwest. The cafe is a beautiful and clean place to get some coffee, socialize, or set up shop and work for a bit. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the coffee is local and delicious. Vegan pastries are available, and taste very fresh. Would recommend for bike maintenance, bike and gear purchases, and for good coffee and pastries. read more

Great place to stop on the Loop if you're a cyclist . Coffee is great and pastries too if you stop before they're sold out!

The Baristas and Bike mechanics are all super knowledgeable and kind. You can bring your bike to get repaired, get a new bike, light or a helmet. The cafe has lots of places to sit (inside and outside). Rotating art hangs on the walls, real plants, in the backyard you can hear potters taking clay classes next door. The huge stump coffee table is fun! Many group bike rides leave from here because it is right off the loop/Dodge. Thankful for this community spot that midtown was missing.
