After all the time and stress over the installation of our motorized shade the owner, Guy finally called. He had two purposes for his call. First to attempt to fix the problems we had and second to ask me to take down my poor review. After a week of inaction and stress I wasn't willing to allow them to make and install a new shade. I had spent a week trying to get them to respond to my calls and make the installation good/right. Laor, did return most of my phone calls. "Customer Service" was anything but helpful. Promises, messages went unanswered and in fact the woman I spoke to a number of times began hanging up on me! Guy asked what I wanted, a full refund! To his credit he did offer a full refund. His second purpose was for me to take down my review of his company. My original review was honest, factual and without any emotional comments or name calling. It left the reader to make their own decision about NY City Blinds. I felt it was a fair, though poor review. The evening of Guy's call he did refund our full cost. I had agreed to leave the shade with my doorman for him to have picked up, once replacements were installed. So, my reponse to Guy's request to take down my negative review is this replacement review: The NY City Blinds two employees that worked with me - Laor, who measured my window and the installer (sorry, I forgot your name) were both polite and actually enjoyable to work with. Guy, the owner was polite, professional and did go out of his way to make me a happy customer. This is New York City and it comes with a host of confounding problems. Manhattan alone is larger than almost every other city in the country! It's crowded. People generally are extremely demanding. There are dozens of choices for EVERYTHNG within blocks of your apartment (home). There is an extremely high expectation for quality. Price, surprisingly given the general wealth of New Yorkers, remains a strong selling point. New Yorkers want the very best products and the very lowest price! It's a tough place to make a business work. It's a tough place to live. Everybody that has a business in New York "is the best" so it's hard to evaluate and select a business that will provide a good service and product and charge a reasonable price. NY City Blinds changed my feelings about their people (except Customer Service - Guy take note!). Guy did try hard to make me a happy customer. I will give his a lot of credit for this. The best I can do is give them two stars for the installation. Guy gets 4 stars. He went beyond what I expect. I do expect Customer Service to improve. The negative review is down. I have to be honest in my review.

I asked them for a recommendation thinking that would be the best way to go. When I got the rec, I called and spoke to a woman who had me run through what I wanted to have done. She said someone would be in touch with me either that day or the next. Two weeks later still no follow up. So I call back and she seems surprised and says she will follow up with me. She calls me back to tell me the person assigned to my estimate had called me multiple times but that the number wasn't working. Made no sense. It was my cell phone and she was calling me to tell me this, on that very same number! But I gave them the benefit of the doubt. The estimator called me and we set up time for him to come evaluate the work that I needed done. I left work early to meet him. He seemed like a great guy and I was really pleased with our conversations around options for this work. He said he would be back to me by the following week with an estimate. 3 weeks later, NOTHING. So I call one more time and get a very rude and abrasive man on the phone. I could not remember the name of the person that came over. He kept pressing me shooting off all these possible names and physical descriptions. Finally I said, don't you have record of who came to my apartment? And he said yes he can look it up and will call me back. No call back. Shocker. It is unbelievable to me that I am chasing this company around so I can give them my business. They clearly do not want it and are clearly unreliable and dishonest. If the work was not something they were interested in they should have contacted me and said as much. If they needed more time to get me an estimate they should have contacted me to let me know as much, I have now wasted two months of time time waiting and chasing this ridiculous company around. Now I will find a contractor that actually wants my business and knows how to service a paying customer. If you are in the market for a contractor, stay away from Poler.

He left NO TRACE that he was ever there. He covered the furniture, cleaned the floor when he was done, and was the nicest, most polite person. I have a lot of workers coming in and out of our office, and he has to be one of the BEST we've ever had. If we have any more work done we will definitely request Juan specifically for the job. In 2019 I paid a fortune to renew 2 big bathrooms, both with bathtubs. The guest bathroom tub with shower was not used until more than a year after that renewal, when the downstairs neighbor immediately contacted me that water was leaking trough the light fixture exactly bellow the shower/tub. After that I saw all the grout around the tub was cracked. Wrote them and they said it had been too long (13.5 months) since their work, and asked me if I wanted to quote replacing the grout with a silicone one. After consulting professional plumber forums and visits by 3 different plumbers, they all concluded the leak was coming from the cracked grout around the tub and/or metal (which didn't have any grout) and questioned me why that not waterproof grout was used. After performing water pressure test it was confirmed that the only sources of water were exactly what the plumber already knew. No leaks after that with years of use since. The bathtub in the main bathroom has not been used since there is a separate shower. About the marble work. Both bathrooms have marble on floor and walls. I was wrongly advised to have them polished with a shine finish. They had a totally different look before. They pretty much changed the whole look of the bathrooms. It's a really nice marble that had some texture before. Last but not least they only changed the shower door stopper after I made clear that was asked on their first visit. I don't know why but it became black very soon, the one before had been there for 7 years and didn't look like that. Still they charged another 20 dollars I think. By the way, the building is now 10 years old and my leak is still the only one that have ever happened. The cost was 5,305.86 Thats my two cents. 3 years after the job, I finally had the time to review this review. p.s. Job was done April 2019, photos are from July 2020.

I am all into automated stuff. I found Vogue Window Fashion while searching on line and they had fantastic reviews. They seem to specialize in automated shades. They weren't kidding when they said their service is really good. Actually hard to believe these days!!! I felt very comfortable with the designer from the beginning and she made the whole process effortless. She suggested the shades that were most appropriate for my apartment. I love my shades and everything was done in two and a half weeks. I highly recommend them!

Beware of This Company - Same Owner, Same Address, Same Scam…read more I strongly urge anyone considering using Mr. Glazier NYC for window or glass work to proceed with extreme caution. I own a brownstone and unfortunately had a terrible experience with this company. They required a deposit upfront and once the money was paid, communication essentially stopped. Calls went unanswered and the work was never completed. When I tried to follow up, I was told by the owner's wife that he was supposedly on his deathbed. Naturally, I tried to be understanding at the time. However, after doing further research, I discovered that the previous company operating under the same name and same address is now listed as "closed," while a new business with the same owner and same location has appeared under a different website. It appears to be the exact same operation simply rebranded. After speaking with other brownstone owners in my area, I also learned that I'm not the only one who has had this experience. Others have reported paying deposits and then being unable to get the work completed or get their money back. Because of this experience, I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and leaving reviews anywhere this business appears so other homeowners do not fall into the same situation.

Booked an urgent door repair, was told they could come the following day to fix it, paid deposit. They then told me it was against "company policy" so it needed to be rescheduled until the following week. They cancelled for the second time. My tenant was left with a broken, non-locking door in a non-doorman building NYC. Completely irresponsible. When I asked for a refund (which was initially approved), I proceeded to get the door fixed with someone else given the track record of unreliability. Their "communications" person was extremely rude and dismissive. She invented stories about a replacement door and wouldn't even accept my compromise to keep $80 for materials. Promised a callback the same day and ghosted me. Still no refund after multiple attempts of contact. What is really sad is that I actually was impressed by the work on their website. I wanted to use them to redo the french doors in my apartment. However, after the disgraceful experience I had with their "communications" person - talking over me, lying about a replacement door, flat out not being open to negotiate or find a mutually beneficial outcome, I will be taking my business elsewhere. Do not waste your money or time with Mr. Glazier. Zero accountability.
