I stumbled upon this place about 3 years ago, looking for a place to take care of my aches and pains. First, it is such a great and convenient location for me, easy to get to with ample parking. Helen and her team are patient, responsive, and always willing to work with me to find a time that will work for me to come in. I now come on a regular basis for my self-care. I am so grateful for Tiffany who is so good at what she does, using a variety of techniques to help me manage my aches and tightness. I got my usual Foundational Facial w/neck & shoulder massage from Tiffany and added a Cold Plasma treatment (they were running a special ($50) to try it out for the month of August). Tiffany explained what she was doing, even let me see the tool she was using and what it was doing to my skin. Overall very happy with the Cold Plasma treatment. The added treatment gave my face a brighter feel. I've been getting facials from Tiffany for about 2 years now and am happy each time I go . . face is clean, white/blackheads are extracted and I feel the condition of my skin is better than it was 2 years ago and the products they use (Skinceuticals) are scientifically formulated. Tiffany uses medium to hard pressure when doing the neck/shoulder massage, which is fine for me. Relaxing for sure! read more

I go to Karlyn for mini facials every few months and she does a brilliant job everytime! I feel so relaxed after the hour is up that I don't feel like driving home which is only 6 miles away! Lol! Her extractions are thorough and gentle with minimal pain but my skin glows after each session. Karlyn is professional, knowledgeable, sweet and very thoughtful! Their parking is free and so conveniently located infront of their establishment so my face doesn't bake in the hot Hawaiian sun right after a beautiful infusion of skin food. They're located in the waialae Kahala area , near the mall. I resolve to come here every month except they're always busy so book in advance! I was aware of Helen's Haven, an established local business, so even thought I live on the other side of the island I decided to make an appointment with Karlyn and I'm so glad I did. She's extremely knowledgeable and skilled and she's better at extractions than my dermatologist! I look forward to sampling more of the services offered at this wonderful establishment. I haven't had the luxury of coming to this place for over 4 years but since my generous sister gave me a hefty gift certificate for Christmas, I treated myself to the: Helen's Haven Signature Facial Approx. 80 minutes $93 Includes: * Cleansing. Brushing, Steaming, and Extractions * Massaging Arms and Hands, Shoulders, Neck and Face * Applying Essential Oils * High Frequency * Mask, Spray Machine, Skin Firming Products, Moisturizers, and Sunscreen I don't usually like people shooting hot steam up my nose or touching my forehead and slapping magic potions on my face, which is why I've only had one facial before in my life. But this time, I made an appointment with Helen herself just to see what all the hype is about. She did not disappoint. Helen is FABULOUS. First off, when I told her I don't get regular facials, she asked what products I use. She didn't laugh or try to sell me something after I told her I just use Neutrogena or whatever I can find at Long's/CVS. She just started with the cleansing and just kind of worked her magic. Extractions: Ouch. I guess when you have 4+ years of sebum baked in your pores, it can get pretty ugly. I asked her if she found any caterpillars when she was squeezing the pores. She just laughed and said "It's not that bad". Yeah right. I'm sure she probably couldn't believe all the stuff that came out of my face. Microdermabrasion: I decided to try my very first microdemabrasion treatment. The machine shoots tiny aluminum oxide crystals at your face, sort of resurfacing your face...it feels like a mini vacuum cleaner going up and down your face. Not painful at all. Upper body massage: was lovely...but I'm more of a massage kind of person anyway. End results: My face felt much cleaner when I left, my pores looked a little bit smaller, and the skin looked different. I think I may actually like facials now. Two days after the facial my face started peeling like a snake shedding it's old skin, probably from the microdermabrasion. It looks like little scales flaking off my face, good thing I don't have to take pictures or anything soon. I'm pretty flaky right now! I can't wait to see what's been hiding under all of this dry old skin. read more

First I went to Heaven on Earth for a deep tissue massage session, just to get out some unresolved issues with my legs. I was like, that ain't so bad, since I heard guys go there too and it's not purely for women. So, here I am at Helen's attempting to get those other beautification treatments: ie facials and the like. I do would like to look younger and this place fits the bill for style and location. This place ain't cheap, but it is value oriented. Like the other reviews have siad, nothing fancy and it's really back to basics. I didn't ask them if guys come here and get facials or not, but I hope they do, since I'm sure I'm not the first guy who's gotten one. But yeah, this place is where you need to go for your needs. This place is clean and the atmosphere is really comparable to the other places I have been to, but not opted for their services. I hadn't realized how much crap that was on my face when they told me. All I used was those Oxy pads for acne. lol. It took roughly an hour, but I had a nice experience. Worth every penny! Tucked in the heart of Kahala, within the complex that houses Lanikai Juice, it's your best kept secret to what ails your mind and body. Near Kahala Mall, you can go shopping after your scheduled appointment. What's not to love about that. If you are looking for the fancy schmancy spa day then this isn't your spot. There are no robes, slippers, lockers, or fancy lava rock showers. But at something like 70 bucks for an hour long massage, the theraputic value is amazing. I walked out in pain--the good pain--after my massage with Karlyn. The more specific you are with them, the better treatment you'll get. They do a lot of other treatments so it's a little freaky when you walk in and there's a huge poster for Botox but don't worry they don't slip some botox in you when you're not looking or anything. They have $20 referral cards, so try to snag one before you go for the first time! There are a few parking spaces in the front and they take credit cards. read more

I got a massage here the other week. The lady I had actually really gave it to me. I'm on the petite side, and usually when people give me a massage, they are afraid to put pressure because I might "break". However, this lady REALLY put a lot of pressure on me. Which was a good thing, and a bad thing. It was good because I was thinking that this was actually going to work....but it's a bad thing because it was so painful. I didn't want to say anything like it's too much pressure because I thought it would just turn out to be another one of those fuufy massages.... I think it was around $105 or $110 for a 90 minute massage, but I had a $100 gift certificate so I didn't pay the full price. I guess I would go back...but I wouldn't rush back.... read more
