I came to get my nails done I thought I was going to get them done my Helena, I needed a last minute nail job as my boyfriend and I were going somewhere. I was seen by someone else. All my nails were uneven meaning all my nails were different sizes, they were thick. Two of my nails are peeling already. It's been not even a whole 24 hours. 190 for my mani pedi and I don't feel satisfied. I feel like she should have told me she wasn't available and I would have waited to get my nails done with her. I had come home to make them thinner and to file them even. Russian manicures are very expensive and I did not receive the quality I paid for. Again 190 is not cheap. I understand some people are beginning, but she should let people know that someone else would be doing my nails. Could I of walked out and changed my mind yes, but I figured since there's NO PLACE that does Russian manicures it would be Fantastic and since I had a dinner to go to I couldn't go anywhere else. Pasadena and San Diego i is so far, but I should have just went to where I'm familiar with. I'm sad this is what I got for 190. Other than that the studio is clean and doesn't smell of hard chemicals.

I recently had a Russian manicure done by Olena, and let me just say--my nails have never looked this clean, polished, and perfect. Olena is a true artist and a perfectionist in the best way. She took her time, paid attention to every detail, and made sure I was 100% happy with the shape, color, and overall look. The Russian manicure she gave me was so precise and flawless--my cuticles are smooth, my nails look elongated, and the finish is just chef's kiss. Highly recommend going to Olena for your manicure/pedicure needs! As a former nail biter, I have very short nail beds with almost none existent side walls. I've always opted for extensions without necessarily wanting the length. Coming in, I wasn't sure whether to get extensions or opt for the "modeling" option. Olena talked me through what I wanted and we ended up going with the modeling. I was really impressed by her technique and attention to detail. I spotted the sign "Russian Manicure" on the window and I shared this info with my Russian born girlfriend . This nail studio is run by a Ukrainian lady Helena. This is a real Russian Manicure, not to be confused with the standard quick and dirty standard manicure that the vast majority of salons offer. As a man, I can see the difference in the finished work - the gel is smooth as glass, the cuticles carefully cleaned, fingernails uniformly shaped. You pay a little more but well worth it !!!! read more

I got my nails done with Helen last week and I couldn't be more satisfied. She's meticulous with her work and is very patient. I think I went back and forth about which color I wanted like 10 times. I love that she offers rubber base gel manicures, they last anywhere from 3-4 weeks without chipping. She also has a ton of colors to choose from. I'm sharing some pictures, one from the day of my appointment (Sunday) and more from four days later (Thursday). My nails are already looking quite grown out, even though it's not been a full week. I'm also noticing some lifting on my gel X nails, and my big toe on the left foot feels a bit irritated. I ended up paying $88 with a 20% off discount, and with the tip, it came to $110. I'm unsure if I'll come back or not. My original spot never leaves my toes irritated and she usually cleans under the free edge of my nails without having to ask.
