Dr. Kasinak asked me a total of 3-4 questions (the generic How old when you had your first period? Are your periods regular? How long have you been trying), and that was the extent of the visit. She simply looked at me and told me I looked healthy so everything would be fine, that I should keep trying, and that I was only stressing myself out. I tried to ask if we could run tests or talk about fertility options, and she dismissed me, saying there was no point because I was only stressing myself out. She saw that I got upset with the answer and said if I still wasn't pregnant by August, to come back to discuss the options at that point. I made an appointment with a different OB a week later, who ACTUALLY LISTENED to my concerns, and she ran tests and saw I did have a fertility issue and had to go through IVF. Not to mention, I was charged $343 for Dr. Kasinak asking me three questions and dismissing me after less than 10 minutes. While my insurance paid for part of this, I still had to pay $186 out of pocket, and for what? If I had listened to her, I still would not be pregnant. It was a terrible experience and OB, in my opinion. I advise you to stay away.

My father was his patient for 20 yrs. He still continues to be my doctor and my daughters who are now 30 they were children when they came. He is mostly a polish doctor, I am a Latina. I don't see many Latin people here in the years I've come. But I wouldn't change him for anyone in the world. He has been a doctor that has encouraged me and supported me through all my medical decisions. Every visit I come I get his full attention, he walks through everything explains it so that I understand it. My husband is currently his patient who is going through congestive heart failure. This has been an ongoing 30 years. I think it's the touch of the doctor that keeps him going. he's an amazing doctor and has encouraged me always to be positive. We had an appointment the next day to tell us more about it. She didn't want to share what was on the results or what was seen on the ultrasound. She told us he was going to die because he had the Trisomy 18! She kept repeating it. and before she walked out she told my husband and I that we should take a walk together and come up with a decision. This appointment probably took 5 minutes.

I let her know that I was just there for an initial consultation and I preferred to meet a new doctor with my clothes on. She grabbed my arm to take my blood pressure roughly. The doctor came in and refused to accept that I had recently had a yearly gynecological exam, even though I was happy to sign a records release, and refused any treatment unless I redid all of the examinations. In a MyChart email, I let her know that I don't bargain for medical care and about the rough treatment from her nurse. Her response was a burst of vitriol about me, exaggerating or outright misunderstanding (shall we say lying) about my health and physicians. She put a nasty letter on my records about me that was patently untrue. Avoid this doctor.
