Got my shirts really clean, had a stain on one that I thought would never come out. Never had any issues and I've been here several times.

If you value your garments DO NOT GO HERE. I dropped off my dress that had stain on the bottom part of it, went to pick it up and it had additional stains that were not there. When I was dropping off the dress, I asked if they can get the stain out and that the dress is designer dress that needs specific care. I was reassured that they can do it. After going to pick it up, they told me that there is a ripped part on the inside of the dress, and that they cannot clean it without alteration. I told them to alter the part that was ripped and to let me know when dress to ready. Btw ripped part was the tag and nothing else, so I'm not sure why that would be an issue with dry cleaning. I went yesterday to pick it up, and on top of the stain at the bottom, there were three black lines on the dress that were not there before. They told me to leave the dress and that they will dry clean it again and try to get the stains out. I just called them and they literally lied to my face saying that dress was never dry cleaned and that stains were there. I am waiting to meet with the owner to see if I can file the claim through their insurance since dress is ruined completely. Will post pictures soon after I pick it up. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! read more

Truly awful. They shrunk a Diane Von Furstenberg dress more than two sizes, and I had the pleasure of finding this out 20 minutes before an out of town wedding. (For reference, when I dropped off the dress, it had a looser fit & hit mid-thigh. When I went to put on the dress before the wedding, it was skin tight and barely covered my ass.) They had me bring the dress back (I assume so they could try to stretch it out lol) and assured me they'd make it right. They didn't return a call or give me any sort of update for nearly a month, so I stopped by their location earlier today. While they admitted that they screwed up (even noting that given the quality and type of fabric, it should not have shrunk), but they're only going to give me $80. The dress retails for more than $500. Tldr: don't waste your money, they'll just ruin your clothes. read more

Took in curtain panels for cleaning (following "dry clean only" instructions on labels) They were returned to me with brown stains throughout and the fabric had been stuck together and they tore to pieces when I unfolded them. It was a total loss, had to trash them all. Management never apologized but we were able to obtain a refund for cleaning fees and to cover part of the curtain replacement cost. read more

The short of it..... I took 4 pairs of pants in to be altered. Only 3 were done correctly. They gave me the run around when I asked for the 4th pair to be done correctly. During my entire experience with this cleaner the staff was very impolite and condescending. In the end..... I'm out 1 pair of pants & I now steer everyone clear of this place. The looong of it.... A little less than a month ago I took four pairs of dress slacks in to be altered and dry cleaned. Let me state they were all the same brand/cut/size. They were a bit too short and needed the hem let out. I took them in on an early Saturday afternoon, I was told they would be ready on the coming Monday after 5pm. When I returned for the pants on Monday I was told they were not ready. I was told they would be ready the following day after 5 pm. I was offered a discount on my final tab. I was little irritated, but left content with the offered discount. When I returned on Tuesday to get my pants I was surprised to see that the 'discount' totaled less than $3.00. Again, I was a little irritated but said nothing. When I got home I tried on each pair of pants. Each pair was ok with the exception of one. They had taken the hem up instead of down! I returned to the cleaners two days later with the complaint. They hesitated at first but said they would correct the mistake, I was told to pick up the pants after 5pm the next day. When I returned for the pants they were still too short. Upon inspecting them it appeared they were cut too short and the tailor tried to extend the length by adding additional fabric. When I pointed this out to the clerk he said it must be a different cut of pant. I let him know they were all the same exact pair of pants. I asked why this pair has not been completed correctly as the others were. He stated that there was nothing wrong with the pants... even though he could clearly see them on me & that they were way too short. I asked to be reimbursed for the pants as they were now ruined. He stated that he would not. After about 20 mins of going round & round with him I left. I was beginning to get very upset, and figured I my health was more important. I have since taken various articles of clothing to 20th Street Discount Cleaners and been very satisfied. read more

TERRIBLE AND OVER PRICED!! The place a poop hole, they got my order all wrong, missed charged me for 5 out my 7 items, spelled my name completely wrong and LOST my belt that went with a dress I now can't wear! Worst dry cleaners ever! I will never go back! I wish I could give it no stars! read more

COUNT YOUR CLOTHES...they change the number of items you drop off and when you pick them up and ask about the missing shirt/item, they claim that they initially counted wrong. This happened to me three times (I drop off 25+ shirts at a time) and so I started taking pictures of my items and they finally confessed to changing the number. However, when I tried to get some form of compensation for my lost shirts (three Ralph Lauren dress shirts), the Asian manager said it was too late (past 30 days) and she wouldn't do a thing as far giving me a discount on future dry cleaning. When I asked if she was willing to lose a customer over this incident (actually three incidents), she shrugged her shoulders and said, "oh well". I'll never do business at Heights Super Cleaners. BTW, my laundered shirts were always wrinkled and my dry cleaning had to always be returned for additional spot cleaning. read more

Heights Super Cleaners (near the corner of Main and 20th) has ruined my clothes on two separate occasions. The first time was a sweater that they ruined in dry cleaning, with dark spots all over it. When they could not remove the spots they compensated me in credit at the cleaners. Since they compensated me and remedied the situation to the best of their ability, I decided to continue going to their establishment. During the hurricane I had 10 days' worth of laundry, and many of the Washaterias were closed. I dropped off my laundry at Heights Super Cleaners for wash-and-fold service. I honestly have no idea what they did to the clothes, but they ruined all of them. My black clothes were all faded to gray; there were numerous orange stains on the clothes; and the clothes were all so wrinkled that despite numerous washings and dryings here at my house, the wrinkles will not come out. They ruined a lot of our clothes and had the audacity to say that the clothes had to have been that way when we brought them in. They would not compensate us at all and were incredibly rude. I'm all for giving places a second chance if they have good customer service, but I would definitely stay away from this place at all costs. 20th Street Discount Cleaners is just a bit further down the street, and they are much faster and cheaper, and I haven't had any problems with them at all. read more

I recently moved to the area and needed to find a place that offered same same service. I should have read the reviews first. I had no problems in the beginning and have been using them for 3 -4 months. About 2 months ago I picked up my clothes on a Saturday and when Monday rolled around I grabbed an outfit for work and it smelled like sour milk or some wet dog. I sprayed it with febreeze but I could smell myself all day long. It was really embarrassing. I took the batch back and they said it was because of the rain and they redid the order and did not charge me. I never had this problem before so I kept using them because they are also really friendly which is why I have 2 stars. Well it happened again today. I picked up my order on Saturday and went to put on an outfit today and it smelled like a dog that had been out in the rain. I took the clothes back and the redid them free of charge but I can still smell a lingering musty odor. I really hope I can take them somewhere else who can get the stench out or a lot of my clothing is ruined. I am not going back again. I just can't take a chance. read more

Not impressed. Took in several dress shirts, slacks and 4 skirts to be dry cleaned. Nothing seemed wrong with the shirts and pants but my 4 skirts all stunk of some foul odor, like B.O. I smelled it as soon as I lifted the plastic bag and the smell hit me so hard. I wanted to gag and return them but instead I decided to wash and hand dry from home and the smell came off. We have been going to this cleaners for ten years and over this time have given them chance after chance but yesterday that came to a screeching halt. On numerous occasions they have double creased my husbands slacks, have washed items they had been specifically instructed to either dry clean or press only, and have returned items to us that looked like they has been wadded up in the bottom of a basket and hung up. This weekend they washed a blouse that was dry clean only and didn't even press it. I took it back and asked the counter girl with the gray contact lenses if she would wear it to work in a professional environment and she said yes. To make a long story short, she actually flipped me off before I snatched my blouse back from her and left. A couple of years ago I took a pair of jeans to be altered. They said they altered them but it was obvious they had never been touched. They wanted to argue. A pathetic establishment. Stay away from this place. read more

Stay away! They ruined one of my beautiful heirloom comforters. When I tried to request a refund, the owner was rude and abusive. I replied saying that I would file a chargeback with my credit card company, the owner (a fat asian guy who would not give his name) threatened to turn me into the police and called me ignorant! Up until then I had been a loyal customer of theirs and had not had a problem. I thought that I could trust them with the comforter but obviously not! I don't know how these people stay in business because of all the bad reviews. Lesson learned, stay away and save your money. The main reason I go there is the convenient location and they do the clothes on site. They do a average jog on my shirts but they sometimes break the buttons and return them to me in that condition. The last experience was returning the same shirt three times to have a button replaced - the shirt is still missing the same button. I have started to search for someone else that does a better job. read more

I read both good and bad reviews before deciding to switch to HSC. One of the bad reviews had something to do with foul smelling clothes. After about 8 months of using them I showed up to work smelling like a very sour mop but I couldn't really tell because of my sinus problems. Not one coworker said a thing to me but I'm sure they noticed. That afternoon I was trying to impress a new customer and kept thinking they had the same strange smell that our office had. IT WAS ME! Later I went home and checked the recent batch of dry cleaning and oh my God! The review suggested I go elsewhere but I guess I needed to learn my lesson the hard way. In one word, Nasty! read more

Heights resident for 57 years and can absolutely confirm this 'business' (if I may call it that) is the very worst dry cleaners in the Houston area. I do a better job cleaning my own clothes plus I don't get money taken. The employees seem resentful that you come in to drop your clothes off for cleaning. Don't waste your money & time going here. It took me numerous "one more try" attempts before I understood how relentless it was. read more
