Leave your situations at the door. This is the one cigar lounge in Houston you do not want to miss. I have been here a few times and the conversations always delight me. The selection is exceptional, the customer service is on point, and the customers are friendly. It's like a neighborhood bar for cigars. No pretension, just like-minded individuals ready to laugh and share a smoke. If you are new, ask for Paul. He will find something you will enjoy, cut it, light it, and check on you in case it goes out. Bring your friends and enjoy a smoke. Pro tip: Stop at Boomtown coffee first and bring your drink with you. read more

Heights Cigar Lounge - Great merch - Tobacco Shops Near Me - Houston, Texas

This establishment has a lived in feel, the thing you want when you want to relax and smoke a good cigar. The sofas and lounge chairs are leather soft and comfortable. They have a nice selection of cigars and they are not overpriced. One thing I noted that I think makes a difference to new smokers. Is they identify the strength of the cigar mild, medium or full body. If you are serious Smoker and want to have a locker they do rent lockers in the price is $300 per year. Humberto told me that they instituted a new rule this year that a person must purchase 52 Cigars per year. They also sell pipes, cigar cutters, and lighters. They do not sell alcohol nor are you allowed to keep alcohol in your locker if you decide to purchase one. I have to say, this place has a lived in feel! The wood floors counter in furniture add to the oral field and character of the place. Reminds me of Cuba except here there's air conditioning and ceiling fans. They have those in Cuba. I was trying to come up with the the feeling here that the owners are trying to create an I believe that word is community. Cigar Smoker if they're not doing it as a fad or a different breed, we like to enjoy our hobby our passion for Cigars wanting to know where the filler is from the binder and the wrapper. The blending of the different tobacco's from different regions and countries married to create a unique taste and flavor. Few countries other than Cuba make a superior Cigar with all the tobacco coming from the same place. Stop by I think you'll like the place if not well you would've had another experience.. If I could give negative stars I would, the yellow toothed bald pirate with the beard to match who can't be asked a question or said hello to without getting a condescending reply is just intolerable, been there twice, first cigar I bought cracked all over, he would not replace it. Second time I went, he was yelling and screaming in the back room and it sounded like he was fighting with someone and when he came up front I asked if he had sparkling water and he berated me by saying he's not my personal barista, I started to pack up my belongings to leave and he starts talking as if breaking the fourth wall in some sitcom or something? If the pirate even reads his reviews, I tell you: get better sofas, fix your humidifier, DONT berate customers for asking for drinks, stop yelling and cussing at the top of your lungs, STOP selling dry and cracking cigars and get a class or something on how to behave like a humble, GRATEFUL human being and give thanks to other customers who even consider going to your business, 1/3 of the inventory in your shelf's and they're DRY!!! To any new customers just go to Joseph's or Nice Ash which are both within driving distance. RUDE. DISRESPECTFUL. INCONSIDERATE. I regret giving this "store" my business. read more

This is a nice little duck off, they have a nice selection with comparable prices to any other cigar spot. The custom service is nice and the atmosphere appears to be laid back. I didn't stay long because i had to be somewhere but I did grab a couple of cigars until I return. I would recommend. read more

This was a great stop to get a gift for my stepdad. The selection was displayed easily and clearly and the lounge looks very comfortable and cool for anyone who wants to stick around! The owner was wonderful to talk to and very knowledgeable. What a cool place! read more

They were very helpful in selecting cigars and making recommendations, the humidor was a good size with a lot of options

Will never come back here. Came here to get work done after work. Terrible greeting from the clerk. Calmly asked him for wifi. Had no idea you could answer that question rudely but he did. Then as I sat down to pack my stuff he yelled the WiFi is down. Would much rather go somewhere who values business despite skin color or orientation or whatever messed up stuff that clown had going on in his head. Never coming back. read more

Why would I keep patronizing a cigar lounge that doesn't return a hello or a proper welcome when I enter the establishment. This is the 2nd time this employee didn't speak or speak when spoken to. I don't know his name, but it wasn't Doug. Doug welcomes everyone with a proper hello unlike this long gray bearded jerk. This was my last visit......... read more

The lounge is open and comfortable, customer service is always on point, selection is is comparable to most lounges in its size

Probably my spot to get cigars in H-town. Their selection and prices are affordable and favorable towards cigar-lovers; some of the favorite brands such as Cohiba and Rocky Patel are here. Not to mention the lounge area is inviting and cozy. My buddy and I had a cigar here while we watched some college basketball on tv; felt like we were high rollers for a minute in those leather chairs. No doubt Im a believer! read more

Love coming here to get my fiancé cigars for gifts!! The customer service is always great and they're friendly with helping someone like me who doesn't know much about cigars pick out something for their SO. This place is THE place to visit if you've been looking for a down to earth spot to enjoy a cigar. Unassuming, friendly, and comfortable - I can see why they say they're your second den. Stopped by to check it out and Doug immediately made me feel right at home. Nice solid selection in the humidor and the prices were good as well. But what you're really coming here for is to get away from the world outside the door. And in that respect, this place delivers! read more

Always helpful when I go and give great recommendations. Great quality as well! Good atmosphere and staff! Check it out for yourself!

First time here. This place makes you feel Right at home. I love the air filter & cleaners set up inside the ceilings. You can smell the air being cleaned as I am not a smoker & was attending here with my husband. The people are friendly & welcoming. The seats are recliner leather. You see the wood floors with that antique appearance. It's clean & I just felt at home while we sat & enjoyed conversation with the owner & drank some coffee! read more

It's been several years since I've been to the Heights Cigar Lounge. Nestled in Houston Heights District, it has become a staple of the community for ten years. You walk into a nice sized public smoke lounge and are immediately hit with that sweet smell of cigar smoke but watch your step. There is about an inch difference just after you walk in the door, most people who are new to the shop will slightly stumble. Walking further on you are greeted just before walking into the nice sized walk in humidor that has something for everyone by all the big cigar makers. Not sure what you to get, just ask for suggestions. The friendly staff will work with what you have smoked and help you grow you palate with some helpful suggestions. When your done, grab up a spot on one of their comfortable leather chairs or sofas and light up. It's a great place to have a smoke alone or with a few friends. So take that hour for yourself and stop in to the Heights Cigar Lounge. read more

I would highly not recommend it this place. I went into this place for the first time as a paying customer I got yelled at, was not welcomed they also made racial slurs. It was a very unfortunate experience and so sad considering we as country should be united. read more

I would smoke here every day. Out of all the cigar stores in Houston Area, there's only one or two that might be a close second in my mind to sit and enjoy a cigar. Paul and his shop is accommodating and a pleasure to visit. Plenty of chairs which are nice & extra chairs when it gets crowded. Bathrooms are usually neat and wide enough for the handicap. The Humidor has a few blends for pipe smokers and there a few small selection of pipes but it's very limited - only come here for a pipe nicotine FIX not to buy Pipes or Pipe Tobacco products... although he does have 1Q so thats a staple for many. CIGARS; decent selection although there's more cigars I don't smoke in his humidor but that's because of my personal tastes vs his average customer. Paul knows what moves and what the people want and he tries to keep those things in stock. Think Eggs, Potatoes, Steak & Salad... don't think any sticks out of the main staple - although in the recent last couple years he's got some high end sticks for the holidays as opposed to the normal selection of nicer sticks. read more

I will admit, I was really intimidated about going to Heights Cigar Lounge. I know nothing about tobacco or cigars and was afraid I'd look like an idiot. Man, was I wrong! I walked in and the atmosphere is very laid back and relaxed. I see people on laptops, people mingling, really nice. I walked up to the counter and told them what I was looking for. Extremely helpful and friendly staff helped me find the cherry tobacco I was sent for. They had a great selection, great location and great staff. Will be back! read more

Nice selection of cigars located in a prime location in the Heights off the popular 19th St. Great way to spend an afternoon with a Boomtown Coffee from next door followed up by a smooth cigar at Heights Cigar Lounge. Comfortable leather chairs and a friendly staff always makes this an enjoyable spot to visit. Nice to meet up with your buddies or come relax and get away from it all. Solid selection at a decent price (Central Houston pricing) that is convenient and welcoming. Would recommend to anyone for a go-to cigar lounge. read more

Great cigar shop inside of the loop, right next to Boomtown. I love to grab a cup of coffee, some water and head on in (they do not have purchasable drinks here, but it would be great if they did). The staff is very knowledgeable, and always suggests a great cigar - per your taste. There is always seating, the couches are easy to fall asleep in. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cozy place to hang out and smoke a great cigar at a great price. read more

Very vibe and friendly staff. Great selection of premium cigars and plenty of seating space

I stopped in here to stock up before a trip to Ambergris Caye. I am glad I did. They had a big selection without being overwhelming. The place was really laid back. It was refreshing not to have the snootiness that you sometimes find in cigar stores. I really felt like the guy working there was trying to help as opposed to make me feel stupid for not knowing everything there is to know about cigars. He was super passionate about cigars, and truly seemed excited about them. It made the experience fun. While in Belize I smoked one of their cigars every day and I did not have a bad one. They were all excellent. I will definitely be going back. read more

I'm a gal that loves the smell of cigars. Stopped next door to get some coffee and was hit with the smell of cigars I had to stop in! I met so many nice gents in here. They sell the cigar boxes and you can even reserve some specialty boxes! I walked out with 8 cigars and 4 boxes. They have a lounge area with club chairs and a TV. When I came in a bunch were watching soccer and being manly... lol I will def be back to sit back and watch a game and maybe smoke a cigar read more

This place is super legit. If you like cigars & like hanging out, watch tv, do some work, talk to the locals or sit in a reclining chair & jam some tunes then this place is for you. Facility is nice & comfortable, A/C always on blast! Gotta love it. Parking is pretty simple. Either in the street or there is a lot adjacent to the facility. The staff is friendly & knowledgeable. If you have any questions about their selection they are always there to answer whatever question you may have. They will even give some of there recommendations if you don't know what to smoke. They even have a rewards program, so make sure to sign up. Buy cigars earn points (duh I know). The humidor room is a good size. Many different cigars to choose from. Ive been on an infusion style cigar lately. Acid kuba kuba is probably my favorite infused cigar. Unfortunately acid is not found at this place, but they've got some java stuff that super legit too. Supposedly acid will be carried here soon, so when that day comes it will be a good one. Anyways, this place is legit. Grab a stogie & relax! read more

Great location, love this historic street and the interesting setup in the windows, which makes it enticing to enter. Reasonable prices. The selection was limited, but they have plenty of room in the humidor to expand. Nice furnishings, comfortable seating. Customer service was good. Wonderful establishment, everything was clean and felt very home like. I only smoke cigars on rare occasions but an older gentlemen with a white beard was more than happy to help me find a good stick for tonight that would work well with the coffee I planned on getting with friends later. Seeing my inexperience he made sure I had something to cut it with and I left the building having all my questions answered and satisfied with my cigar purchase.
