I knew this place was here as I've had lunch at the surrounding restaurants and I've had coworkers tell me they like going to this cigar shop. But when I walked in today for the first time I was taken back. It felt like the ultimate guys hangout spot. There a few guys relaxing in the leather chairs, smoking and watching tv. One looked like he was working remote as he had a laptop in front of him. I'm a causal cigar smoker but I instantly wanted to jump in a chair and pick one out. This was a short visit as it wasn't planned and I had to get back to the office. To be honest the only reason I walked in was because my coworker wanted to check if they had something in stock. We were greeted as we walked in. Asked if we needed help finding anything while we were browsing and was told to let them know if we had any questions. Then we were left alone but in a good way. No one was hovering over us, or trying to push us to buy certain ones. I could have spent some serious time and money in here as there was so many options. They also seemed to have something for everyone. From mild to strong and price points from high to low. I'm looking forward to coming back and actually hanging out and relaxing. read more

Cheryl and Daniel are wonderful and this is one of the best cigar shops anywhere. They are very welcoming and have a great selection. The prices are correct and they don't take advantage of the customer with pricing. They walk each customer into the humidor and make suggestions. They truly run their business, not just a cash register. If you are going to enjoy your cigar there they offer you a complementary soft drink and make sure that the area you are sitting is comfortable and equipped with everything you need. Many Davidoff lounges I've been to can't match the customer service I have received here. The everyday customer crowd is docile and I've never ran into anyone unpleasant. The humidor is vast and meticulously cared for. There are bigger places in Houston, but you'll be hard pressed to find better. Cigar Towne is always worth a visit. read more

I have driven past this place multiple times, my friends have told me about it and I just recently had an opportunity to visit after having lunch at Houston's Bar-B-Q next door, which I do recommend. The lady, I think her name is Pat is super nice! The place has a nice humidor that provides you with a great selection of sticks. They are practicing social distancing and sanitizing things as needed. I had one of their brand sticks and I enjoyed it. I prefer a mild to mid smoke and this was right on point. This is a good spot to have a stick and relax. I recommend and will make it as part of my cigar spots. read more

I've been coming here for 3 years now and not once have I ever been disappointed. From day one I was treated well and felt welcome by all the regulars. The owners are fantastic. They know their cigars and give excellent advice. When you start to frequent their store more often they even begin to recognize what kind of cigars you generally enjoy and recommend based on that. I have never had better customer service than here. Remember, it is always courteously to buy something even if you are going to be smoking one of your own cigars. That goes for any shop. Nice cigar shop in the Energy Corridor. Very clean and orderly! Feels like a big den. Cozy leather chairs. Good TV's. Well kept humidor, although selection at some other places is broader. But hey, maybe that's what the owners and regulars like to smoke. Lot of good sticks in there regardless. Cheryl goes out of her way to make sure guests have what they need! This is a great, little cigar shop. The owners, Daniel and Cheryl know cigars and are really nice folks. I've always been treated well here. It's not the biggest humidor in Texas but they keep a good cross section of cigars of different origins and price points. Maybe I wore a sign that said treat me horribly because that's what my first and only experience at this place felt like. I asked for a bottle of water and when the woman said yes I asked where I could get it. She then rudely told me she was getting it. I sat down and smoked half of my Romeo Y Julieta then had to get back to work. I walked to the counter and asked how much for the bottle of water and she said not to worry about it. The rude woman then asked why I wasn't buying anything and I replied that I was all set after receiving a box for my birthday recently. Then the woman told me I can't just come in, drink all of her water, smoke, and leave. What a horrible display of customer "service." Keep your Ozarka lady when I need more cigars I will go elsewhere. read more

I enjoy a good cigar. I seldom enjoy going to most cigar stores because they tend to be very cliquish -- if you are not a "regular," they are not very inviting. Owners Daniel and Cheryl, true experts in all things cigar, have established a true "smoking room away from home" where all are invited and all feel welcome. I became a Cigar Towne regular in short order because of their efforts in this regard. Now I join other Cigar Towne regulars in making all who enter feel welcome, too. Haven't been into smoking cigars long but this is by far the most helpful shop I've visited. The selection is also great because they carry a larger variety than I've seen elsewhere. As others have said the information and help here is great, especially Ms. Cheryl, she can recommend you the right cigar for the price, activity and drink pairing. This is the only cigar shop that I visit because I can count on the advice. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because their smoking section is the entire store. So even if you're just passing by to grab some sticks you still leave smelling like smoke. Nothing they can do about it though at this point, and if I could give them 4 1/2 stars I would.
