I knew this place was here as I've had lunch at the surrounding restaurants and I've had coworkers tell me they like going to this cigar shop. But when I walked in today for the first time I was taken back. It felt like the ultimate guys hangout spot. There a few guys relaxing in the leather chairs, smoking and watching tv. One looked like he was working remote as he had a laptop in front of him. I'm a causal cigar smoker but I instantly wanted to jump in a chair and pick one out. This was a short visit as it wasn't planned and I had to get back to the office. To be honest the only reason I walked in was because my coworker wanted to check if they had something in stock. We were greeted as we walked in. Asked if we needed help finding anything while we were browsing and was told to let them know if we had any questions. Then we were left alone but in a good way. No one was hovering over us, or trying to push us to buy certain ones. I could have spent some serious time and money in here as there was so many options. They also seemed to have something for everyone. From mild to strong and price points from high to low. I'm looking forward to coming back and actually hanging out and relaxing. read more

Cheryl and Daniel are wonderful and this is one of the best cigar shops anywhere. They are very welcoming and have a great selection. The prices are correct and they don't take advantage of the customer with pricing. They walk each customer into the humidor and make suggestions. They truly run their business, not just a cash register. If you are going to enjoy your cigar there they offer you a complementary soft drink and make sure that the area you are sitting is comfortable and equipped with everything you need. Many Davidoff lounges I've been to can't match the customer service I have received here. The everyday customer crowd is docile and I've never ran into anyone unpleasant. The humidor is vast and meticulously cared for. There are bigger places in Houston, but you'll be hard pressed to find better. Cigar Towne is always worth a visit. read more

Wonderful selection, knowledgeable staff, helpful and I didn't feel rushed. I'll be back.

Have been shopping here since 2012. Excellent selection and customer service! I drive out of my way to come here for my cigar needs.

I've been to a few cigar stores in my day but never run into the level of service I encountered today. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Good prices and a friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend this cigar store. Thanks Cheryl for all your help. read more

I have driven past this place multiple times, my friends have told me about it and I just recently had an opportunity to visit after having lunch at Houston's Bar-B-Q next door, which I do recommend. The lady, I think her name is Pat is super nice! The place has a nice humidor that provides you with a great selection of sticks. They are practicing social distancing and sanitizing things as needed. I had one of their brand sticks and I enjoyed it. I prefer a mild to mid smoke and this was right on point. This is a good spot to have a stick and relax. I recommend and will make it as part of my cigar spots. read more

I needed to pick up some cigars for the New Year for myself and some friends. I don't smoke cigars regularly or buy them often so I required a lot of assistance on determining what I wanted. Their customer service is amazing! So appreciative of the time they took out during a busy afternoon to show me their selection and help me decide. read more

Cheryl and Daniel treat you like family. No matter your level of experience with cigars, they are very knowledgeable and ready to help. The lounge is relaxed with diverse clientele. Always a good conversation to be had, or a quiet place to enjoy a stick. A home away from home. read more

This is a place where a person can go, get a great cigar, and relax if you want to hang out. OR you can sit and get work done while others play card games, board games or discuss the current events. It reminds me of what barbershops used to be. A gathering place. The sales people are approachable and knowledgeable. Cheryl has been particularly helpful. Thank you Cigar Towne! read more

Great place. Helpful staff and good selection. You can also just chill out and watch the game and surf on their free wi-fi to check your fantasy updates. I will be back here!! read more

Cigar Towne - Tobacco Shops Near Me - Houston, Texas

I have been a Cigar Towne customer for the past two years and consider it to be one of my favorite places to relax, wind down, and invest time with friends. Cigar Towne has one of the best humidors in the city, with a wide array of cigars for most any taste. Cheryl and Daniel, the proprietors, are amazing hosts, friendly, informative and just great people. Unlike many other cigar shops, this one is not "clicky." Everyone is friendly. I have made numerous friends while hanging out there. It is also a great place for networking. read more

Found this place on the way to run errands. I decided to go try it out. Met Sheryl and had a wonderful learning experience. If you are new to cigars and are branching out, visit here to get what you need. Love this place!!! read more

Cheryl and Daniel have a first class operation at Cigar Towne. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed. All people are welcomed and treated like they're number one. The cigar selection is very good. You'll find the 'regulars' sitting around throwing banter at each other. You'll see the newbie being assisted by Cheryl or Daniel with genuine effort to satisfy their needs. It's difficult to put into words but you'll feel welcomed and appreciated for stopping in the establishment. I strongly recommend this establishment and encourage you to stop in. read more

I've been coming here for 3 years now and not once have I ever been disappointed. From day one I was treated well and felt welcome by all the regulars. The owners are fantastic. They know their cigars and give excellent advice. When you start to frequent their store more often they even begin to recognize what kind of cigars you generally enjoy and recommend based on that. I have never had better customer service than here. Remember, it is always courteously to buy something even if you are going to be smoking one of your own cigars. That goes for any shop. If you're ever in the Houston area this is definitely a place you're going to want to stop at. read more

Maybe I wore a sign that said treat me horribly because that's what my first and only experience at this place felt like. I asked for a bottle of water and when the woman said yes I asked where I could get it. She then rudely told me she was getting it. I sat down and smoked half of my Romeo Y Julieta then had to get back to work. I walked to the counter and asked how much for the bottle of water and she said not to worry about it. The rude woman then asked why I wasn't buying anything and I replied that I was all set after receiving a box for my birthday recently. Then the woman told me I can't just come in, drink all of her water, smoke, and leave. What a horrible display of customer "service." Keep your Ozarka lady when I need more cigars I will go elsewhere. read more

Fantastic place with a cool staff and a nice place to sit down and enjoy a cigar. Make sure to check in on Yelp there! I got 10% off of my order when I did. The prices are pretty standard if not great and overall this is the place to go if you live in the area. read more

Nice cigar shop in the Energy Corridor. Very clean and orderly! Feels like a big den. Cozy leather chairs. Good TV's. Well kept humidor, although selection at some other places is broader. But hey, maybe that's what the owners and regulars like to smoke. Lot of good sticks in there regardless. Cheryl goes out of her way to make sure guests have what they need! And she doesn't just ask once. Thank you for that true Southern hospitality. Daniel was great on the phone and for the brief moment we met. Overall very pleasant experience. read more

I had been saying for God knows how long I was going to stop in there and check it out and finally I did and let me tell ya I am glad I made the stop. Cigar Towne has a fantastic selection with very good prices and Cheryl, who was working when I stopped in there could not have been any more friendly or helpful. She is full of cigar knowledge. Ever since I have moved down here from Minnesota and had to leave my old cigar hang out up there I have been looking for one to replace it and I think I have now found it with Cigar Towene. read more

Daniel and Cheryl are tops. They make smoking a quality cigar a very worthwhile experience. The service and atmosphere is a pleasure to sit and talk with good friends and associates. I recommend Cigar Towne very highly. read more

This is a great, little cigar shop. The owners, Daniel and Cheryl know cigars and are really nice folks. I've always been treated well here. It's not the biggest humidor in Texas but they keep a good cross section of cigars of different origins and price points. You shouldn't have any trouble finding a good smoke and they are happy to make a recommendation if you need help. read more

Service here is amazing. This is not just a place to buy cigars. Sit down get comfy and smoke. Get some expert advice in the humidor if you're a newb. Watch some football on Sunday and enjoy some chips an drinks. I'll definitely be returning! read more

I enjoy a good cigar. I seldom enjoy going to most cigar stores because they tend to be very cliquish -- if you are not a "regular," they are not very inviting. Owners Daniel and Cheryl, true experts in all things cigar, have established a true "smoking room away from home" where all are invited and all feel welcome. I became a Cigar Towne regular in short order because of their efforts in this regard. Now I join other Cigar Towne regulars in making all who enter feel welcome, too. Cigar Towne is welcoming to cigar novices, cigar aficionados, and all in between. Plus, great cigar selection, two big screen TV's, cigar lockers, comfortable seating, cigar accessories, great cigar events, and two great cigar proprietors. read more

Never a dull moment with the Cigar Towne crew. Always a great way to chill for an hour or two. Tuesday night is movie night and it is packed. Stop by and say hello to Cheryl and Daniel. read more

Cigar Towne - Relaxing. - Tobacco Shops Near Me - Houston, Texas

Great selection of cigars, and by far the friendliest service in Houston. Cheryl & Daniel make you feel at home, and there's plenty of comfy leather chairs for lounging. Play chess, watch the game on the huge TV, or chat with the regulars. Local eateries will deliver, and there's an event once a month with great bargains. Drop by for a visit! You won't regret it! read more

Was once part of Stogies Lounge (a great lounge), but have since moved out of the neighborhood. Found this great lounge in my new area! A terrific place to hang out and buy cigars. Well stocked humidor and wonderful knowledgeable hosts in Daniel and Cheryl. The guys (and gals) that hang out there are very friendly and diverse. I highly recommend this location! read more

Stopped in here to kill some time before an appointment. Lady that worked there was helpful and knew her products. I picked up a couple I hadnt tried before and stayed to smoke one of them. Nice lounge, comfy chairs. All in all a very pleasant experience. read more

Haven't been into smoking cigars long but this is by far the most helpful shop I've visited. The selection is also great because they carry a larger variety than I've seen elsewhere. As others have said the information and help here is great, especially Ms. Cheryl, she can recommend you the right cigar for the price, activity and drink pairing. This is the only cigar shop that I visit because I can count on the advice. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because their smoking section is the entire store. So even if you're just passing by to grab some sticks you still leave smelling like smoke. Nothing they can do about it though at this point, and if I could give them 4 1/2 stars I would. Love this place. read more

A great place to spend an afternoon, being as productive or lazy as desired. Great selection, one of the better humidors in HTX.
