Been here twice in last three weeks. Ordered Fire Burger and it was great, each time. The fries are also possibly best fries I've had in a very long time. If you like bread pudding, there is nowhere else that has bread pudding as good as this read more

Pretty weak menu. It's either burger or burger. Waitress was nice. Food was average. Nothing special going on here. read more

Food was average, service below average. We had Ahi nachos, Burgers, ribeye and Lobster Mac and cheese- all just average. Service- bad. They forgot one person's order and were barely apologetic. Some of us were done with our meal by the time they got it. They never offered to take off the menu. Chicken was forgotten on another's salad. read more

food is very inconsistent. and, the space is awful. holes in the walls all over the place. needs paint. so not good, especially with the prices they charge. read more

Such a boring location and restaurant design though not surprising for Avon. Food is mediocre and overpriced given the lack of quality. Burgers and the toppings were undersized with a soggy bun, while the fries were also so so. Appetizer selection was standard fare and the salmon entree looked like the best way to go. read more

I ordered a wedge salad with chicken. It was the most bland thing ever, they subbed the bleu cheese with cheddar shreds from a bag. There were only like 3 little cherry tomatoes and probably 1 slice of bacon on the whole thing. It was a generous portion but just so blah. Especially for $16 before tax. The server was great though and nice and attentive. read more

I've eaten here several times and haven't been disappointed yet. I've had pasta, salads, and of course the burgers which their original Ohio City location is known for. No service complaints either. I appreciate that there is a decent beer and wine selection without high menu prices. Good food, affordable, and classy casual atmosphere. A great addition to Avon. read more

Here we sit, Friday night at 5:25. Came in for dinner and drinks. Well, no Riesling tonight. Hmmm, Minottis is a 60 second walk to grab a bottle (or case) to take care of the night. But no, they get their deliveries from there, but can't go grab some for a customer. Then add to that the flies. Yep, they've always blamed it on the patio door being opened by customers, but it's 58 degrees and the patio is closed. Place is a joke. Time for this place to close. BTW- was offered to give us dinner for free, but I refused, as I didn't want to owe them anything. Funny they would give us a $50 dinner but refused to open a $10 (their cost) bottle of wine to satisfy a customer who would have probably had 2 glasses. Last time I'll set foot in there, until a new restaurant takes its place. read more

Great meal and great service from Bridget! The bread pudding was delicious and different! read more

Outstanding food, service, and atmosphere! The only reason I cannot give 5 stars was due to the onslaught of flies that were a result of their choice to keep the big doors open that go out to the patio. Keep that door closed to keep out the pesky flies, and this place is great! read more

We went to brunch at Hecks because one month ago we went and had a good experience and decided to go back, today, however, was terrible. The service was good but the food was poorly prepared. I ordered the Tournedos Benedict and my wife ordered Crab Benedict. Both orders came out lukewarm. The homefries were cold, burnt on the outside and hard as a rock. The crab cakes were cold and soggy. The steaks cold and overdone and the poached eggs were underdone and runny. The coffee today was cinnamon flavored which I don't care for. If we weren't in a hurry I would have sent it back, but they were busy and we had to be elsewhere. Hecks is out of our way to get to, so we won't be going back. read more

I was excited to find a vegan entree until we all finally received our meals. Mine was cool and the plate was hot (warmer lights?) Disappointing bI didn't ask for a remake since everyone was eating. The mgr came over and offered though, after hearing from the server that I was a little disappointed. She insisted, kindly, to let her make it right. My meal came back relatively quickly and was new and improved. Everyone seemed satisfied with their meals but no one mentioned outstanding quality. Nice to have a place not overcrowded on a Saturday night. read more

New place in Avon and stopped by during lunch. Ordered the Rocky River burger and it was nicely prepared with fresh cut fries. Pomegranate tea was $5 per bottle. That was a surprise when the bill was delivered to the table. Look forward to returning for dinner minus the bottled tea. read more

Greated nicely. Seated quickly. Clean and new. Everything well laid out. Had Ahi nacho app. It was ok. Not bad not great. Ordered a house salad with chicken. It was very good. I also ordered a black and blue burger. It was very good. We ending with a chocolate shake. All in all very good. Great start hecks read more

Hecks - Avon - Nice bar seating with Tvs. Two nice dining rooms - New American Near Me - Avon, Ohio

Tried this new Avon location for lunch today. The place has a stark, minimalist, vibe resulting in a noisy hubbub . There are no soft, sound-deadening surfaces anywhere. Windows on almost every side. The vaulted ceiling contributes to the unpleasant loud acoustics. As to the food: I had the Rocky River burger. It arrived medium rare as I requested. Sizable and tasty, albeit a little pricey. I recommend it, if cost is not a big issue for you. My guest had chicken tacos (per a suggestion from our excellent waitress) and announced they were "great". So, 4-stars for the food...3-stars for ambience. read more

Wa great food really fresh would come again! They didn't bring the appetizer out first so they took it off the bill without giving us a hassle. Professional read more

Good food, great atmosphere and good service. First time here. Had one of the hash plates with chicken, mushrooms and goat cheese. Deserts looked out of this world and the drinks looked fantastic. Great spot for brunch. read more

Very nice interior. Perfect waitress (Kerri) who knew menu and the apex of a host. Food was delicious. Drinks strong and well made.

Meh. Went here for lunch with a friend. Ordered the Cobb Salad. The contents of the salad were good but they could have added way more lettuce to it for $16.00. Prices are high and portions are small. I suppose if you come here for the burgers you'll be fine. Won't be back here for a while. read more

This place was good, I liked the atmosphere, it was quiet and pleasant. Prices were moderate but not horrible. They're burgers are awesome! My husband and I got two different burgers and we loved them both, cooked well. And they give a huge amount of fries for the side, a lot more than I could eat. We look forward to returning! read more

Good to Great! Bitter cold Friday night, might have rated it low. Clean, great service and great food, casual dining and fair selection of drinks. read more

hmmm, nice suburban place, well laid out and a nice bar. We sat at the bar for a quick dinner before the theater, had nice drinks, delicious salads, soups and mains (the seared tuna on wasabi mash was awesome). They could do without the plastic straws in cocktails, not eco friendly and def not needed when they are putting a garnish in on a wooden pick. Not needed in general and should be a request only addition. read more

I went for brunch with friends Sunday! They were very busy when we got there. We sat at the bar and had a drink while we waited for our table. Staff was very friendly and attentive. I had the ABC omelette. It was delicious. My friends were very happy with their food too. Their burgers are my favorite! My Bloody Mary was very good too! I recommend making a reservation on weekends, especially for brunch! read more

Had the Rocky River burger. Very good but a little expensive at $13. Ice tea was fresh and staff attentive. I would go back.

Ok, smaller servings. Service is a little slow but business is brisk which may explain the time from ordering to serving.

Been there several times now, the food is always delicious. The onion soup is one of the best in the area. Their appetizers are unique and always delicious. The service is friendly. Definitely would recommend to anyone! read more

Well, this was our second time and we will not be back. The burgers smelled like old beef, with zero seasoning. The fires were cold and unappetizing. I don't know what 'awards' they won but I am guessing it wasn't this location. read more

Great food while on a road trip! Way more upscale than I expected, but I was pleased with my breakfast.

Prior to and after relocating back to the area, I've been here 4 times. the service seems to be better in the evenings as during lunch there seems to be less staff on hand? the food is good and will return to try the remaining items on the menu. read more

Just okay. Went on New Years Day - not many people there (cold day). Two burgers - both were fine, middle of the road taste. Waitress was a little slow mo. Most disappointing was the herbed rice...no flavoring or evidence of a herbs. read more

Great meal, drinks, and atmosphere. We've been there about a dozen times now and happy each time...the patio in the summer is absolutely the best. Our most recent waitress (Bridgette?) Was great (inspired me to finally write a review, actually). HIGHLY recommend read more

Ordered a simple burger with no sour cream, not only did it come with a HEAPING serving of sour cream but they didn't check in the entire time when there were only 2 tables there, so we had no opportunity to fix it and then they fully charged us and we left unhappy and hungry and charged for an overpriced, incorrect patty. To McDonald's! read more

Cold fries, cold breakfast potatoes, and apathetic service. Burger and omelet were good. Overall, pricey for what you get. Disappointed!

Since I'm a good burger fan, and I know a good burger when I see one (inserts welcome to good burger joke here) I decided this place was worth a try. I can say without a doubt that the burgers here are awesome, however, the drinks and food together are pricy. I ordered a tea, and the bill came to 5$ for just the tea. Total was 45$ just for the tea and a burger w/fries. If the prices would be worked out a little bit better, I'd give this place 5*'s. I'll be back :-) read more

We have been here three times. Bartenders have all been very knowledgable. First bartender turned me on to Corzo Tequila. Nice to see a West side place with well trained staff. Seth was great! Food has always been enjoyable. Ahi Tuna Nachos are special! Only on the dinner and happy hour menu. Nice patio at night but bees during the day and Mitchell's Ice Cream is right next door! read more

Had Saturday brunch on the patio. Terrific service/server. The omelet was excellent along with the side of potatoes and fruit. It was the perfect setting for dining outside on a fall day. Hard to find outdoor seating and brunch combo. Glad we took this opportunity. read more

Okay food, prices are high for the quality you get. Not a great selection. If they drop their prices 30% this would go up a few Stars. It's all about the value in my mind and they don't have it, there are better options read more

This was my first dining experience at Heck's Cafe. I loved the atmosphere and structure of the building. The service was very slow for breakfast. Food was decent, but nothing to brag home about. Menu is bigger than the bite. read more

The Bloody Mary I ordered (bacon flavored vodka) tasted very weird - gritty texture and very acidic - as if lots of lemon juice and ground black pepper added, perhaps. However, it did not taste like bacon and so overwhelmed by lemon I could barely taste tomatoes. So, weird, to put it simply. My entree was the Wild Things brunch bowl (served in a bowl). It was good - glad I asked for extra goat cheese - but not great. Potatoes not undercooked but bland and not crispy or crusty. Arugula fresh, but maybe would have liked it sautéed? read more

I've been wanting to try Heck's for a while now. I was not disappointed AT ALL. The food was so fresh and so flavorful. I got the wild things off the brunch menu and I will definitely be ordering that again. The staff was so friendly and even though they were busy they got us our food fresh and fast, read more
