They are an honest family owned company and aren't out to rip people off. They ensured me if our unit were to go out completely that they would help us figure out financing for something new and efficient, which is a relief to know I can rely on them when that happens. They are always knowledgeable about current rebates on their products and provide that information immediately to get the process rolling right away. If I call for a service appointment they are usually out to our house that week if not the next day! We also had a humidifier installed by them that we are very happy with. High quality products, customer service and fair pricing. You can't ask for more nowadays! I recommend them to all my family and friends.

After buying and replacing a part, I finally broke down and called in reinforcement. Tom Schneider has entered the chat. I called him around 6:30 pm on a weeknight, and he was over to our home in Eden Prairie within 25 minutes. After 45 minutes of diagnostics, he had fixed our furnace. A few things I appreciated about Tom: 1) He has a wealth of experience (35 years) working on heating and air. 2) He is local and self-employed, not part of some big national operation. When I called his numer, he picked up (not some dispatcher from a remote location). 3) He is honest and transparent. He did not even remotely hint or suggest that I should replace our furnace, which he could easily have done in light of its age. 4) He talked me through what he was working on and what his solution was. He also told me what could go wrong in the future, for me to be prepared for that. 5) His pricing was reasonable for an emergency call.

Extra not fun is trying to get a hold of someone on a holiday to answer the phone. After some unsuccessful attempts to other places, Tom Schneider from Eden Prairie Heating and Air answered right away and was here within an hour and a half. Unfortunately, I ended up needing a new furnace, but he was back today, promptly, and they installed it before the morning was over. Very friendly and prompt. Much appreciated!

In that review, he made false claims about my conduct and advised others not to hire me. I have never contacted this person outside of leaving public reviews, and I have blocked all further contact. This action appears retaliatory and inappropriate. I have reported it to the Better Business Bureau, the Minnesota Attorney General's Office, and the FTC. I stand by the review below, which reflects my honest experience as a prospective customer. [Updated to address owner's response and clarify timeline.] I reached out to this business via their website to get the air ducts cleaned in my duplex. After submitting their contact form, I was quickly texted and asked to send pictures and videos of both furnaces, which I did promptly and completely. They confirmed receipt and said they'd send a prep list, then communication abruptly stopped. Over 25 hours passed with no follow-up, so I sent a text asking for an update. I received no reply. At that point, I reasonably concluded they were no longer interested and chose to leave a review to reflect my experience. Immediately as I was submitting the review, I received a phone call from them -- too late, as I had already hired someone else. I did not answer. They then sent a text acknowledging they had just seen my follow-up. Rather than take responsibility, the business replied to my review publicly and posted my full legal name (including my middle name) -- which does not appear on my public Google profile and which I never gave them permission to share. This is a clear privacy violation and feels like retaliation. They also imply that I'm unreasonable or dishonest by telling others to "click my name and see the type of reviews he leaves." I welcome anyone to do so -- over half my reviews are positive 5-star feedback, and any criticism I've posted is respectful and factual. This kind of response is unprofessional and borders on gaslighting. This review reflects my honest experience: I was responsive, patient, and gave them a fair chance. The poor communication and inappropriate public reply speak for themselves.

A few days ago, our main drain was clogged, with sewage coming up in the first floor shower…read more Shortly after I moved into my townhome I learned that this happens every year or so due to a bend in the pipe. Since then, I schedule a drain clean out every 12-16 months. This year I just waited too long. Since Tiger had installed a new AC for us this summer and serviced the furnace, I decided to call them. I was told they couldn't come out until the next day. When I called the next day, I was told that they were booked up and no one was available that day. When I pushed back, a team showed up that afternoon, I explained to them that this happens about every 16 months or so and showed them where the main drain was that needed to be cleaned and also mentioned the bend in the drain pipe. After discussing it with the owner, they said they didn't have the right equipment and would come back. (I was a little surprised since they are a plumbing company and they knew they were coming to clean out the main drain.) They returned the next day and cleaned it out. The owner asked if I wanted to have them use the camera for an additional several hundred dollars. I declined. As the guys were putting away the equipment, the owner presented the bill to me. He said that he wouldn't be able to guarantee the service because I declined the use of the camera! Note that on their website: " Tiger Plumbing, Heating, & Air offers round-the-clock emergency drain cleaning services you can depend on. Our decades of experience ensure that your plumbing issues are resolved quickly and efficiently with comprehensive care, giving you the confidence that your repair is in professional paws." It appears they do NOT offer "round-the-clock emergency drain cleaning service" nor do they guarantee drain cleaning unless you pay the extra several hundred dollars for their camera service. I'm really worried now that they didn't really clean out the drain or maybe they damaged the pipe. If so, they won't guarantee it and who knows how much it will cost me to repair any damage they may have caused! Plus there's the AC and furnace. If they won't guarantee their service, I'll be really stuck then. I really wanted to support this local company. Their office manager and techs are all nice, seem competent, and helpful. The tech even offered to help clean out the sewage in the shower. My final advice is just don't use Tiger. There are plenty of reputable heating, plumbing, and AC services. Check Yelp, Next Door, Facebook or ask a few friends or neighbors for recommendations. If you do use them, I truly hope you don't have the same experience as I had. It is such a helpless feeling to be intimidated and taken advantage of when in a vulnerable position.
