Amazing and professional service! Ricardo is extremely skilled and very prompt. I would give him a call and no job is to big or to small.

1/5 Stars: PROPERTY OWNERS AND LANDLORDS, BEWARE. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY…read more As a property owner, I strongly recommend that other landlords and property investors avoid Advanced Plumbing Heating and Air. My experience with this company demonstrated a concerning lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service. Before engaging their services, I explicitly established that all findings, concerns, and recommendations regarding my rental property were to be communicated directly to me as the property owner. Apparently, following simple instructions was too much to ask. During a service visit on October 1, their technician disregarded this arrangement and communicated serious concerns regarding my property's heating system directly to my tenant instead of contacting me as instructed. This created unnecessary stress and confusion that I was subsequently left to manage. To be clear, I absolutely expect HVAC professionals to identify legitimate safety concerns. However, there is a professional and responsible way to communicate those concerns, particularly when working with rental properties. Keeping the property owner informed should be a fundamental part of that process. Because of this experience, I made the decision to terminate my business relationship with the company. Their response to losing a customer was arguably the most revealing part of the entire experience. Rather than receiving a thoughtful, personalized response acknowledging my concerns, I received what appeared to be a generic, AI-generated message. They couldn't even spell my name correctly. Think about that for a moment. A property owner terminates a business relationship because of concerns about professionalism and communication, and the company's response is an impersonal, seemingly automated message that doesn't even get the customer's name right. You genuinely couldn't ask for a better demonstration of the very problem that caused me to terminate their services in the first place. It left me with the impression that my concerns were not taken seriously and that retaining my business was of little importance to them. As someone who owns rental property, I depend on contractors who can communicate effectively, exercise sound judgment, and respect established expectations. I should not have to micromanage basic communication or wonder whether a company is even paying attention to the customer paying for its services. My recommendation to fellow property owners is simple: Take your business elsewhere. Find a company that respects your instructions, communicates directly and professionally, and treats your property and your business relationship with the attention they deserve. There are plenty of HVAC contractors who understand that professionalism involves more than showing up with a toolbox. Advanced Plumbing Heating and Air has permanently lost my business. Between the disregard for established communication expectations and the embarrassingly impersonal response to my termination notice, I have absolutely no confidence in their customer service. If they cannot even take the time to spell a customer's name correctly in a response to a formal complaint, I have little reason to believe they will give my property the attention it deserves. One star. I would not recommend this company to any property owner.

Barney's Affordable Plumbing did an amazing job installing our new water heater!…read more We received quotes from several different companies, and I honestly couldn't believe how much the pricing varied--there was almost a $3,000 difference between our highest quote and our lowest, which was Barney's! Their affordable pricing was definitely one of the reasons we chose them, but their great online reviews also gave us confidence we were making the right choice. Plus, we found out they live right in our neighborhood! We love being able to support a small local business, especially a neighbor! Our water heater went out over the weekend, and they were able to install our new one the same day, which was such a blessing! The installation looks incredibly clean and professionally done. He and his wife were both so friendly and made the entire process easy from start to finish. They even took care of scheduling the final inspection with the Building Department, so literally all we had to do was be home when the inspector arrived. I 100% recommend Barney's Affordable Plumbing! Not only did they do a fantastic job, but their pricing truly lives up to their name--AFFORDABLE!

These guys came out gave me a fair price, ordered the new water heater because it was a unique size and installed it fixing all the mess the old one had. This is actually the second time I've had them out... the first time was when my garbage disposal started leaking, they came out took care of the is old disposal and installed a new one and the eased my mind about the water damage. All in all really kind people who are affordable and seem to do good work!

I would have not been happy with that faucet. I had no idea how to buy a faucet. Will offered to meet me at Lowe's and he would help me get what I really wanted in a faucet. He did do that. He came back the next day, not charging me for the first day, and put in the faucet. He also fixed a few things like lighting my water heater I didn't know was out. He's very efficient. I highly recommend Bill. He makes appointments within a day or so and he's on time. He's very knowledgeable about what he does. Thank you, Bill.

I was happy to find that the owner was able to come out the same day to see what was going on with one of my toilets. I loved how the owner was knowledgeable and had no issue educating me and my son about common issues with clogged toilets. I appreciated the owners honesty and willingness to help and not take advantage of someone who clearly does not know the ins and outs of common household plumbing issues. He truly cares about your property, wears shoe covers and makes sure to clean any mess he may or may not make. Before the owner left, I already had plans and tasks lined up for my next service call. I would highly recommend him to everyone. I am extremely grateful to have come across this business! Thank you!!

Of three plumbing companies that I have previously used, and liked, over the years, two are closed on Sundays, and the third was already booked solid for the day. So I turned to Yelp and started working my way down the list of five-star plumbing companies that list themselves as being open on Sunday. I left voicemail messages for three plumbing companies, NONE of which called me back all day (and on into the evening). Fortunately, the fourth company to come up in my Yelp list was United Plumbing, which is (as listed) open on Sundays. I got a prompt answer when I phoned United Plumbing, and very efficient service in scheduling a same-day appointment (yay!) with a two-hour window. The plumber came right on time, at the very start of that timeframe window, listened to my description of the issue, and promptly set about fixing the problem. Given that it was a Sunday job, the work wasn't cheap, but it was no pricier than the estimate I had received from the company that was already booked up. As long as the plumber was on-site, I also had him address a slow-draining tub/shower drain, which was a relative bargain, given that he was already on-site. He was courteous, efficient, and did a good job cleaning up after both tasks. Both the company's phone service and the plumbing tech's work were efficient and well done. Thanks, United Plumbing!

This is a little overdue, but well worth the delay. I…read more had another vendor come out and inspect my system to find that I had a cracked heat exchanger, which was dangerous for the home. They did their job and then quoted me a price that I thought was a bit high. I went through my warranty company to see if they would fix that, only to find out they sent out a vendor that couldn't find the cracks. I called Cozy home for a third opinion and they were there soon and not only demonstrated that I needed a new unit for safety reasons but offered me a complete system for $10,500 less than the first vendor. Not only did they make the safety of my family their priority, but installed it quickly safely and as I said before for $10,500 less than the first vendor. Mark was great with the initial inspection and I'm glad he was able to make the recommendation. . I'm happy with the system. The install team was awesome as well. Got the whole thing done in a day. I'm happy I found This Company and feel a lot more "cozy" in my home now and for the foreseeable future. Thanks guys.!

They took my money, failed final inspection, and have not come back to fix it…read more I see the owner, Jason, replied to another person with a similar problem that they "do not have any Install's that are left incomplete." This is not true, at least in my case, and I'm happy to give him the permit number if he gives ME a call--I'm tired of calling and emailing and getting not reply. I hired Cozy Home Services in January 2026 to swap my ducted gas furnace for a heat pump at my home in Oakland. The main installation went smoothly, but what followed has been deeply frustrating. When it was time for final inspection, they told me to schedule it myself, even though their contract says they do the permits. The first inspection failed with nine correction items. It took weeks of follow-up and the intervention of a third party for me to get Cozy Home to send someone out to make the fixes. When the technician arrived, it was clear they had not reviewed the correction notice or checked with the city. He asked me what needed to be fixed, then called his manager for guidance, and ultimately said he would do what he could and 'we'll see how it goes.' They even installed the wrong fix--an unnecessary second breaker box on the outside of the house. That second inspection (which I also had to schedule) failed with six items still outstanding. These are not complicated fixes, either--things like swapping in a GFCI breaker, putting in a proper p-trap on the condensation drain, and other items that are listed right in the blower installation manual. That second failure was six months ago. They have not come back and the permit is still not finaled. During the installation, they also cut up my existing filter box rather than replacing it with a properly sized unit as they promise under their own "right size guarantee." They removed the side of the box and replaced it with a loose sheet of metal, ruining the latching, gasketed door to the filter slot. Now I have to untape the door to change the filter, then tape it shut again. This is not a permanent or professional solution. I have made repeated attempts to get them to work with the city. Their responses are sporadic and commitments are not kept. The equipment itself seems fine. The problem is entirely with follow-through, workmanship on the details, and responsiveness after the sale.
