1/5 Stars: PROPERTY OWNERS AND LANDLORDS, BEWARE. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY…read more As a property owner, I strongly recommend that other landlords and property investors avoid Advanced Plumbing Heating and Air. My experience with this company demonstrated a concerning lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service. Before engaging their services, I explicitly established that all findings, concerns, and recommendations regarding my rental property were to be communicated directly to me as the property owner. Apparently, following simple instructions was too much to ask. During a service visit on October 1, their technician disregarded this arrangement and communicated serious concerns regarding my property's heating system directly to my tenant instead of contacting me as instructed. This created unnecessary stress and confusion that I was subsequently left to manage. To be clear, I absolutely expect HVAC professionals to identify legitimate safety concerns. However, there is a professional and responsible way to communicate those concerns, particularly when working with rental properties. Keeping the property owner informed should be a fundamental part of that process. Because of this experience, I made the decision to terminate my business relationship with the company. Their response to losing a customer was arguably the most revealing part of the entire experience. Rather than receiving a thoughtful, personalized response acknowledging my concerns, I received what appeared to be a generic, AI-generated message. They couldn't even spell my name correctly. Think about that for a moment. A property owner terminates a business relationship because of concerns about professionalism and communication, and the company's response is an impersonal, seemingly automated message that doesn't even get the customer's name right. You genuinely couldn't ask for a better demonstration of the very problem that caused me to terminate their services in the first place. It left me with the impression that my concerns were not taken seriously and that retaining my business was of little importance to them. As someone who owns rental property, I depend on contractors who can communicate effectively, exercise sound judgment, and respect established expectations. I should not have to micromanage basic communication or wonder whether a company is even paying attention to the customer paying for its services. My recommendation to fellow property owners is simple: Take your business elsewhere. Find a company that respects your instructions, communicates directly and professionally, and treats your property and your business relationship with the attention they deserve. There are plenty of HVAC contractors who understand that professionalism involves more than showing up with a toolbox. Advanced Plumbing Heating and Air has permanently lost my business. Between the disregard for established communication expectations and the embarrassingly impersonal response to my termination notice, I have absolutely no confidence in their customer service. If they cannot even take the time to spell a customer's name correctly in a response to a formal complaint, I have little reason to believe they will give my property the attention it deserves. One star. I would not recommend this company to any property owner.

After getting a very high quote from a major plumbing chain, we decided to contact Water Heater…read moreMasters. We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Water Heater Masters. Alex sent our technician, Rojo, who helped install a new 40-gallon gas water heater in our indoor utility closet, and he was incredibly diligent, professional, and efficient from start to finish. Installing a tank in an inside closet can be tricky, but Rojo handled the entire job seamlessly in just 2 hours. He replaced everything with high-quality components, including: * New hot and cold water flex lines * A brand new water shut-off valve * A new gas flex line and sediment trap * Fully reworked earthquake straps (to meet California safety codes) * Properly updated T&P line and venting He also took care of the removal and disposal of our heavy 18 yr old tank, leaving the utility closet completely clean. If you want fair pricing, expert specialized service, and a technician who respects your time and home, call Water Heater Masters and ask for Rojo. Highly recommended!

We were replacing a gas water heater with a hybrid electric heat pump water heater. Generally, this…read moretype of heater costs twice as much (price and installation) as a traditional electric water heater, but costs a lot less to run (and therefore you recoup the additional cost in a few years from lower operating costs). I had a very easy experience getting an on-site quote. I received 3 quotes for this job. 2 quotes, including this one, came in around $7100. I went with a third one at around $6700 (which included an additional mixing valve) and am very happy with my decision. Overall price was not a big part of my decision, but brand of water heater was. After doing some research online, the most recommended brands are AO Smith and Rheem (GE). Both higher quotes were for Navien, which has only been making heat pump water heaters for 1 year, but I was told that it is the most reliable brand. I did not understand how this claim could be made, given how short the duration of evaluation for this product. Even the worst appliances usually work for at least a year. So I requested a quote for AO Smith or Rheem, which I did not get. I'm not sure why my brand request was not honored, but it made me question whether I should go with a company that either has communication issues or maybe some type of deal with Navien that I was not informed about. Many water heater installers are preferred installers of certain brands, which means they can get better pricing, etc. I did not want to be a guinea pig for Navien.

We decided to still have our toilet installed first and Leonard did an amazing job! The whole process was around 1 hour including removing, installing, and haul away old toilet. This is not an easy review to write. We chose Innovative Radiant Heating based on the good yelp…read morereviews. A year ago (12/2023) Innovative Radiant Heating installed radiant heating under our main floor and down stairs bedrooms and bathrooms. Ramnar came to inspect the area in August 2023 and nothing was flagged as problematic. Unfortunately, the workmanship was so poor that it caused problems. As I type this review, workers are under my home ripping out the shoddy work, relocating the tankless heater and adding the very important things that were missing. Why? We surely did not want to spend thousands of dollars on this again but after our heating bill went UP hundreds of dollars right after Ramnar's install, and the thermostats never worked with the radiant heat system and the green motor ran continuously day and night regardless of whether hot water or heat was being used, and that motor was too hot to touch with bare hands, we decided that we had to replace his work before the entire system failed. We met with two professionals and spoke with Noritz and Navian to troubleshoot the issues, sending them videos and photos of Ramnar's work. It's ALL WRONG. Here's the parital list: *When they were 'finished' i found an area of exposed tubing under house. No covering what so ever. *Wrong cable was run to the thermostats (he double'd up ethernet cable, could not run it through one of our walls and thus drilled through closet shelves into the adjacent room. *thermostats installed are not meant to be used with radiant heat system, when I asked for the manual he said to find it online. *no metal heat diffusers used under floor. *kinks in installed hoses (that explains the very hot spots). *staples going through the hoses installed! *tankless water heater installed in an area where NO ONE can stand in front of it. Code requires a 2' radiance around sides and front and this had 6" in front of it. We could not stand in front of this machine to even try to fix what was happening. *No air gap installed. *Incorrect type of tubing used. *Thin silver, crinkly "insulation" was stapled beneath tubing instead of 4" thick real insulation. Our crawl space has been so very warm. *Tankless heater was not hung on wall using metal bracket, it was hung on a piece of plywood and there are still nails sticking through to the outside of our home. I asked Ramnar to fix that and it's most nails still there. just smashed down into our house. So our house is damaged by this work. This is what a recommended Radiant Heat Installer found: Navien NCB Boiler Upon inspecting this Navien Comby install, we found a few issues. does not have proper clearance required by nobby and for access. - Gas line is undersized - No air elimination is on the system - Incorrect gauge of wire for thermostats - Thermostats that are installed are incompatible with the system - Manifold system does not allow proper bleeding - Cannot confirm or deny that for the radiant heat system is an oxygen barrier type - Tubing installation does not meet any standards from any manufacture - Zero heat transfer plates - Insulation is not adequate To correct: - Remove tubing - Remove unit - Reinstall existing unit on right side of basement - New gas line - New venting - New waterlines - New oxygen barrier tubing - New manifold - New isolation valves - New ecobee thermostats - Install snake n heat transfer plates - Install 4 inches of insulation beneath tubing - Install air separator - Install new system pump - Install system feeder Estimated 4 to 5 day install How is it possible for someone with such great 5 star reviews to do such criminal work? We are paying thousands less than what he charged to have his work ripped out and replaced. I feel stupid for trusting Innovative Radiant Heating and trusting yelp. It doesn't feel good to write such a negative review, the work was that bad. Innovative Heating should absolutely pay us the $25,000 it's costing us to replace their garbage.
