We used Heavenly Stitches' mobile service, where they come to your location, steam your dress, and assist you into it -- and it was such a great decision. Candice was a wonderful addition to our wedding day team. She arrived on time and steamed my dress with the highest care, so I never had to worry about a thing. When we ended up running behind schedule, Candice even stayed late to make sure I got into my dress without any added stress. I must say that I have had several dresses altered, mostly bridesmaid dresses, and I have never been a return customer to any of them.....until now! I have been to Heavenly Stitches twice now, first as a bridesmaid and most recently as a bride, each experience was great! When I was a bridesmaid, I was living out of state was in a St. Louis wedding; for convenience purposes, I had my dress sent to St. Louis and had it alerted by a local tailor. My bridesmaid dress, which has a lot of lace, needed to be taken-in throughout. I could not have been more pleased with the results. It fit perfectly! They also introduced me to the cup inserts, which they sew in. That is definitely the way to go and for only $20 it is far less expensive than a new bra. I never knew a bridesmaid dress can look so good, all thanks to the ladies at Heavenly Stitches! I was also impressed with the turn-around time, since I was only in town for a couple of days. They were so polite and ask me several questions, making sure I was more than satisfied and felt comfortable in the dress. My bridal gown came in a petite size, so not as much work was needed. When I thought of who I trusted with my gown, I immediately thought of Heavenly Stitches. Once again, they exceeded my expectations. I am so pleased with their attention to detail, quality of work, and customer service. They make you feel like you are their only client. They do not rush you and they do great work. One thing to note is that they only accept cash or personal checks. I did not have either on me when I was there with my bridal gown (I should have known better), but they were very accommodating and allowed me to send them a check in the mail. I thought that they did a good job on my dress, but the morning before my wedding, an hour before I picked up the dress, they called to see if I wanted to pay additional $50-100 to have my dress steamed to get out the wrinkles! When I originally hired them to do my dress, they told me that this included all alteration costs. you would assume that $400 in alterations would cover everything, including making sure that the dress was steamed and wrinkle-free after they altered it. After getting very upset and demanding to have the dress back, I showed up to find that the dress was steamed and perfect. This was a weird thing to happen and the whole situation was so weird -- I wouldn't recommend using them again. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DRESS HERE!!!!!!!! We sent our bridesmaids dress here to be let out a 1/2 inch. We got the dress back 4 weeks before my wedding to find it 3 Inches too small in the bust. Cici completly refused to admit she ruined the dress even though she took it in 3 inches. The seems were sloppy and lopsided not to mention the zipper was crooked. Cici refused to give a refund or help in any way. Whatever you do, DO NOT GO TO CICI!!! read more

Don't take your dress here! Very unprofessional! I was recommended Heavenly stitches by a fellow bride and took my very expensive Vera Wang gown there for my alterations. As an out of state bride, I could only have a few fittings. When I arrived for my 2nd appointment - after flying 3,000 miles from CA - I found that my dress had not even been worked on and they could only re-pint it. My next appointment was the week before my wedding and sure enough the dress was still too big. When I arrived a few days later to pick it up and insisted on trying it on, I found that the dress was now too tight around the waist - but at that point, it was a day before my wedding and not much was to be done. Later that night, I hung the dress up and found that the dress was still half bustled from my appointment earlier in the week! Luckily a friend was able to unbustle it but it was completely wrinkled on one side. I called up Cici in tears but she didn't even believe me that the dress was bustled. To this day, I am sure the dress did not get steamed because how can you steam a dress that is bustled!? DO NOT take your dress here, or if you do make sure you throughly inspect it before you go home with it. This experience was probably the worst I had with all of my wedding vendors!!! read more

Would not recommend this place. They ruined the bust area of my wedding dress by making it pointy! And when I asked they fix it, they said it could be pressed out. So I asked for it to actually be re-sewn, which still looked sloppy and unfinished, not to mention uneven. Taking it somewhere else next month, hopefully they can fix it! read more

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Hugely overcharged for alterations (over $800)! The bust was too tight and the hem too long. I paid $85 to have my dress look beautiful the day of my wedding and my dress was creased and wrinkled! I brought my dress back to the bridal shop in tears (she is no longer affiliated with the shop). She took it to the back of the shop for over an hour, and when she emerged the DRESS LOOKED WORSE!! Do not use Heavenly Stitches! You should feel beautiful on your wedding day and not tearful and upset about the condition of your dress!! read more

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! I took my MOH dress to Cecelia to be hemmed and taken in through the hips. I was to come back in two weeks to pick up my dress. I came back at the scheduled pick up time, Tuesday 8/21/12. Cecelia directed me to a dressing room to try on my dress... problem was the dress was not my dress. She had brought in a teal, short dress, mine was purple and long. I informed Cecelia that this wasn't my dress, to which she replied, "SHIT! I grabbed the wrong dress!" (How classy?!) I told her mistakes happened and I would be back the next evening to pick up the dress. She replied that she didn't work Wed and could I come Sat... The wedding is on Sat! I asked her to make an exception and bring the dress the following day. She said ok. I showed up the next day and she was not there! Rita, the bridal store owner, knew nothing about it, she was not much help. I called Cecelia at both of her numbers. I could not leave a message on her cell as the voicemail box was full. I texted asking her to please call me ASAP. Rita then informed me that I must go home as she was closing the store. I could do nothing, but go home empty handed. I cried wondering what happened to my dress and how I was going to break it to my best friend the bride. After calling Cecelia a few more times throughout the night, she called me back saying that we were supposed to meet Thurs, not Wed. I know I did not mistake when the appt was. I was very upset she did not have my dress Tues and was adamant about picking it up on Wed! I asked what time she would be in Thurs, she said 10am. My mom called the shop at 10:30am and Cecelia was not in yet! I then called her cell, no answer. She later called back to tell me she was on her way to the shop with my dress. My mom drove to pick up the dress since I was at work. I am now at my mom's with my dress... the hem looks good. The hips look like a job I could have done myself!!!! Definitely not something I would pay for let alone pay $110!! The dress itself was only $130!! I would like it corrected, but no way am I bringing it back to Cecelia!! Since the wedding is Sat 8/25/12, I have no choice but to wear it with badly altered hips. Don't waste your time, money or nerves on Cecelia at Heavenly Stitches! read more
