I can't say enough amazing things! I had my wedding dress altered at Abbey lane and they did an exquisite job! Not only was I on a bit of a time crunch (dress came in a month before the wedding) but it was much larger than expected. My dress fitting at the bridal shop had me so anxious and upset I was in tears. The next morning was my first appointment at Abbey Lane. I walked in ready to be told they couldn't help me due to the lace overlay, way to large of dress, and it being to long (the length and size were not an issue when I ordered and therefore I was more than frustrated with the bridal shop as well). Instantly they set me at ease! They were realistic in helping me set my expectations but so kind and sweet and helpful. At my next appointment they had worked miracles! It was still not as snug as I was hoping but looked light years better than before. I didn't want to bother them with additional work, but she could tell in my face. When I came back the next appointment they had taken it in just a tad more and it was absolutely perfect! With the tighter fit I didn't need it shortened either! And all done with a smile! I can't imagine the amount of work and hours that went into making sure the dress was perfect. Abbey Lane is as seriously one of the highlights of my entire wedding experience and helped me feel so beautiful on my wedding day!! I can't recommend them enough! About 2 weeks ago I dropped off a bridesmaid dress to be altered, my appointment and interactions with Kathy went well. Fast forward to today when I have a 5pm appointment to pick my dress up. It is snowing today, and while at work I missed a voicemail from Kathy asking if it is possibly to come in early or reschedule because they might have to close early due to weather. At 4, I got another call asking if I was still coming in for the 5pm appointment and when I said yes they response on the other end of the phone was "fine, bye". After I hung up I realized that I had missed the earlier call, listened to it and immediately called back. I apologized for missing the earlier call and offered to reschedule for tomorrow or come in right away. I was curtly told to "come in now". I was at the shop within 20 minutes and walked in to hear the other employee (who I believe to be Kathy's mom), TALKING ABOUT ME ON THE PHONE. She was mocking my phone call about the earlier missed voicemail and complaining that I had said I would be there right away and had still not arrived. The alterations on my dress were satisfactory, but this interaction was incredibly below my expectations. read more

Have used Abbey Lane several times and recommended them to others. However, after the rude way my daughter was just treated, they won't get any future business from me. Once before I was caught a bit off guard by the reception I received when I went in but shrugged it off to "we all have a bad day". Apparently it must not be that rare. read more

They did OK work, but nothing spectacular. The location is very confusing. But the deal breaker for me was the rudeness of the woman working at the desk. I kindly asked if she had a bag to carry out my newly altered dress, and she snapped back at me with attitude saying "you didn't bring one, so we don't have one for you!" Go elsewhere to get your alterations done !! Horrible customer service. The owners are unprofessional and talk rudely about customers. They also took a long time to get alterations finished. They told me what day to pick up my item and they were still working on it that day. I guess they wait to do things last minute and act like it's the customers fault. I am so, so pleased with Abbey Lane! I was an out of town bride and went looking for alternative places to get my wedding dress altered after davids bridal wouldn't work with me. It was a little late notice, and Abbey Lane went out of their way to accommodate me and get my dress altered on my schedule. Every time I need alterations, I use Abbey Lane! They just finished my wedding dress and did a beautiful job! They took up the bottom with all of the tulle, took out the zipper and put in a corset back, took in the shoulders, and sewed in my corset bra into my dress. All of this work and they are very reasonably priced. This dress is now so comfortable and beautiful, I know that my day will be just as wonderful! These girls are easy to work with and so accommodating. They did a bridesmaid dress for me for a wedding that I was in earlier this year, and did just as wonderful with the satin dress. I HIGHLY recommend them for any work that needs to be completed for alterations! read more

Went in to have a shirt altered and we were great by a rude woman who made a nasty face before we even explained what we needed to have done. We continued to explain and were told no because they were on vacation. I will never go there again. There is another seamstress less than a mile away that knows how to treat customers. read more

This was the second time I had been in the shop. Although the suits I had altered originally, were fine, the older lady was very rude. I understand people have bad days so I gave it another shot a couple months later. When I walked through the door I felt the older lady was annoyed that she had to get up to come to the counter. When asking a question regarding fixing buttons on a suit coat, I received another rude response. I walked out and will not be back. read more
