They allow their Covid patients to roam the hall freely, and for residents of the 2nd Floor who have been exposed, to come into the general population. Unmasked. Recently, Ivy Park asked residents to post positive remarks so we could get more people and their rent wouldn't be raised as much. So the good reviews you're reading are those nice people who decided to do a nice thing for Ivy Park. We have a new cook, and we have inadequate protein in our diet and most of our vegetables are canned. Staffing is very bad and supplemented by agency who do not know the patients. The comments about Joseph were right he was wonderful. He was strongly advocating for our needs and we believe that's why he was fired without notice. We also had a great chef and good food with good nutrition and fresh foods. He was fired too.

Really? AGAIN? Ivy Park (owned by Oakmont) is going to remove all my reviews a THIRD time because…read moreI put links to corporate websites and phone numbers??? That says a LOT. Luckily I save all of this. Big corporations trying to hide what they do is not good. This might make a really good news story. I think our local state representative and senator might be really interested in this. You want me to change my review? Do what Joseph did and improve everything, or better yet, fire the upper corporate staff, bring him, back, and use corporate salaries to pay caretakers more to provide the best care for such fragile people in memory care. Then I will change my reviews, as I did after Joseph came on and AFTER he fulfilled his promises to staff more. This place was a mess a year ago June when we moved my mom into memory care. Joseph Valenzuela came in in the summer and had to deal with a lot of angry residents and family and did it in the kindest, most graceful way. He worked to get staff morale up with more staffing and better pay. We had monthly meetings for the memory care floor where he kept family's apprised. He got staffing up and asked for more. Kept asking for amendments on pay screw ups and more staffing that were approved, and then backed out of that he kept telling us about. After he improved residency from 40 something to 60 something %, I changed my review to a 5 star, because the facility and staff are great and you need enough good, happy staff to take the best care of people. It's the corporate management that is the issue. On July 27, 2026 he was walked out of the building with no notice, and a very inappropriate letter to everyone from corporate. We know why--he demanded the regional director do his job and allow him to get the pay amendments and hire more people that had already been approved of and asked for, but were repeatedly walked back, ignored, etc. We know this because he showed us the repeated requests. I was lied to by the regional director and and the senior VP of operations saying they never got anything about this and Joseph never talked to them about this. With each yelp review, suddenly all of the things Joseph has been asking for, are being "worked on." Hiring is happening. Some minimal wage increases. But we do NOT trust Ivy Park corporate. We want Joseph back, whom we all trusted to make sure our led ones have enough staff to take care of them and check on them. 9/8 No improvements as promised. Temporary ED rarely here, sometimes regional director. Hiring fair a big bust because, despite many applications, most turned it down because they are paying less than next door. Increased staffing on second floor promised not happening. Even the washing machine for the 2nd floor ordered in JULY is not here yet.

Before my mother, her mother lived there from 1992-1994. So, as you can see, my family has had a lot of experience with St. Regis. This is a difficult journey. I try to do the best for Mom, but it's really hard. Thank God for St. Regis & the dedicated staff that works there 24/7. They care for all the residents & their families. I know, if I have a problem, they will work with me to help solve it. Anyone who is dealing with Alzheimer's knows that there are always problems. I am grateful for all St. Regis does to keep her well cared for & safe. Without the help, guidance, & counsel of Shabbir Chinikamwala, Administrator, & Nisha, Supervisor, this would be a nightmare. They are are always gracious & calm. I don't know how they do it. I know that the women at the front desk are always cheerful & helpful. The Activities Director, we all call her Z, is a wonderful, caring woman who goes out of her way to engage the residents. Christina from the Assisted Living North wing always has a smile on her face & a gives me a warm hug whenever I see her. The staff in the Memory wing has a difficult job to do. They are caring & helpful. Maria helps Mom with puzzles. I don't know all their names but I thank them all for all they do to take care of Mom. This is a big operation. Many hands are at work here to ensure the smooth operation of St. Regis. I would be remiss not to mention & thank the maintenance men & the kitchen cooks & waitresses. Thank you all for all you do & have done in the past to make Mom's life as pleasant as possible. Laura It is now February 2020. Mom passed in December 2019. St. Regis is the reason I am not in a mental institution! Alzheimer's is a horrible disease. I watched her slowly shrink until there was mere skin & bones in the bed. She still smiled & told me she loved me. I think she said that to everybody but that's ok. She was pleasant, kind of happy & sweet which is a positive memory for me. I know the staff at St. Regis was the reason her last months were good or as good as possible in this situation. They provided for all her needs with respect & love. Words cannot express my gratitude for their constant support & guidance. Laura

My aunt and uncle are residents there and are treated like family by the staff, who know my aunt and uncle's quirks, moods, preferences, needs-- including the setting up of my aunt/uncle's weekly Zoom bible study. Staff gracefully indulge my aunt, who has a rather demanding personality at times. (I wish I were as patient as they are with her!) Unlike many other nursing homes, Oak Creek staff seemed to love their work, which they perform as a true vocation. The building sits under a canopy of trees, nestled against a forested hillside. Residents have access to a large patio area with a garden, an aviary with cooing mourning doves, and chickens, with many seating areas. The entranceway is always decorated very festively according to season, giving it a cheerful ambiance. Art, music, movies, meditation, crafts, exercise, and many other activities fill the day. My only complaint is that I would love to live there myself and be pampered as beautifully as my aunt and uncle are!

It is all about ensuring the best quality of life possible for their residents. There is constantly fun happy activities happening. When you first visit you get the feeling of this quaint little community and then you enter and are amazed at how much space the residents have to roam around. I love the outdoor area! It is so spacious and sprawling with wonderful things to do such as the raised planter boxes. Oh and did I mention the chef uses the freshest produce that comes from their very own farm/ranch?! Probably the most impressive thing about Willow Creek is the staff. They truly care about their residents. The longevity of the staff is far greater than many other communities which provides the much needed stability that Memory care residents need to thrive. The cherry on top of all the goodness of Willow Creek is that the cost is among the most affordable in the Bay Area. If you are looking into Memory Care communities for a loved one, I definitely suggest you consider Willow Creek.

I was putting off trying to find a care home for my mom for the last six months. Prior to that,…read morealthough she had been declining, I could still communicate with her somewhat; push her around in a wheelchair, and watch her eat most of her food. However, from January 2025 on, it seemed like every two weeks, she would get worse dramatically. She wouldn't eat; she wouldn't take her pills - she was fading in front of me everyday, and I was powerless to stop the deterioration. She needed an around the clock care giver or be at a facility at all times for her well-being, but I didn't know where to start or what to look for. I didn't have grandparents that lived to an old age and my dad died when I was a teen, so this search was foreign. I called a few places, but I didn't know what to ask for and what I should be looking for in a place for my mom. A nurse gave me Nicole Fauss's number and immediately Nicole wanted to get a sense of who my mom is. From her thorough, yet sensitive and understanding, questioning, she deduced that my mom would do much better at a smaller residence. My mom had become almost completely aphasic and her recognition of English had vanished, leaving her with just a scant familiarity with rudimentary Mandarin - and even that was pretty infrequent. So Nicole started to comb the Bay Area for possible, suitable place. She sent me names, short descriptions of these homes and contact info. I revised other things I thought that would be important as this process was undertaking: distance, dietary needs, style of food, I even thought that my mom may feel a bit more comfortable with other people who were Asian and were also in need of memory care. With all these changes, Nicole adjusted her search and would promptly send me lists of places. She would call many of these places first so I didn't have to feel so awkward during my initial phone call. All that she did for my mom and me were far more than I had ever expected anyone to commit. I called, visited and they didn't feel right. Nicole did not push me to take any of these earlier places; she just continued to look for us. I called a place that was surprisingly close to my mom's apartment. It didn't check all the boxes, but it had other aspects that Nicole could sense would be valuable to my mom's health and my state of peace. Nicole's guidance and diligence have led us to this wonderful residence for my mom and has shown that this stage of my mom's life doesn't have to be so saturated with fear and sadness. The home is small. The caregiver to resident ratio is small. There is a pretty yard. The caregivers are not Mandarin speakers, but they listen and observe attentively. The caregivers make sure that the food meets my mom's picky needs as well as her nutritional requirements. They've also expanded my mom's palate as she now eats and drinks far more than she did a month ago. The place is also not a home  specifically for elderly, memory-care residents. Because of this diversity, the energy of the home is much higher than some of the other places I have seen. Being situated in this has helped my mom. She taps her feet to the Supremes coming out of the radio; smiles (she smiles often now) at the other residents on her floor; has meals with them and tries to talk to them. I have a better comprehension of what living with dignity is like. My mom is now in a place that feels like a home, because, quite frankly, it is a home.

I liked Baywood Court the best because there is no expensive buy-in and the monthly rent is reasonable. From number 16 on the waiting list I was able to move in at mid-February. I have a one-bedroom apartment of 600 square feet facing the pool. It's between two exits so it's very convenient for my dog to go out for his business. Plus there is a half-mile trail inside the facility for his daily walk. I enjoy going through the Rose Garden and the Gazebo along many beautiful flowers and plants. Living at Baywood is like living in a hotel or a cruise ship. There is 24/7 lighting and air conditioning/heat throughout the building. I get weekly house-cleaning, change of bed linens and towels. I just leave my garbage at the door and all the packages I ordered are delivered to me . The two meals a day can be stretched to three because of the many options I can choose. In the one year I have been here, I have not cooked one meal for myself. No more driving to the gym. I just walk down the hall to my Tai Chi, Chair Yoga, and Zumba classes. We also have lots of performance by outside artists and regular health and informational meetings. Just this week we had Martini Monday, Coffee Social, and Tequila Thursday. You can play pool, jigsaw puzzles, Mahjong and many table games at the Game Room. There are also daily drive to shopping and regular visit to museums and scenic areas. Baywwod also has many group activities such as Sunday mass, Thursday Bible study, grief sharing, Spanish class, arts and crafts, movie and sports night, etc. I joined the Knit Wits to make projects for charity. I am the inventory manager and also volunteer as a cashier for our general store called The Cubby. The staff at every Department here are friendly and efficient. I love the community of other residents. The management does such a good job that I was pleasantly surprised when our rent did not go up for this year. (For context, a year ago my mother was at a different facility that I would definitely not consider again, plus I have toured several other places, talked to many people, and done lots of research.) Baywood SNF has the highest five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. The nurses and doctors are amazing. Dedicated, knowledgeable, compassionate and always available to help my dad or answer our questions. I received regular updates in-person or over the phone. And importantly, they were always well-staffed and attentive - staffing ratios are important for patient care and to avoid staff burnout. Baywood is also clean and new, with beautiful landscaped grounds and good food. For a challenging time in our lives, I had such peace of mind that my dad was in good hands and well-taken care. I imagine we might need a skilled nursing facility again and I will only consider Baywood Court.
