Show up to the appointment and the receptionist claims there is no referral and she starts calling the instance company at the time of my scheduled appointment. Why isn't the confirmation of a referral done prior to the visit? Decided to walk out and go somewhere else. What a horrible experience.

So why wasn't I informed that the entire hearing test had to be redone when I called and made the appointment, or they could have suggested an earlier date that fell within their protocol, since it was just a matter of a few days? I started wearing hearing aids about three years ago. I was told by my original audiologist that I have a very narrow left ear canal with a sharp, tight turn. He fitted me with the smallest dome he had, but when he inserted in my ear, it was just too painful to wear. He put an extra wire on the hearing aid which enabled me to wear it while it rested just outside the ear canal. It wasn't great but was better than nothing. I always worried it would fall out of my ear and I'd lose it. I was told a custom ear mold would solve my problem. Late one Friday afternoon, my audiologist put the mold material in my ear. I don't know if it was left in too long, or because of the shape of my ear canal, but the material hardened in my ear and he couldn't pull it out. Since my ENT's office was closed, I went to the ER, and they were also unable to pull it out. It was so painful when they tried! On Monday, I went to my ENT's office where his PA attempted to remove it. It hurt so much that I was near tears. About a week later, my ENT surgically removed the rock-like material that was about the size of a marble. For two years, I wore the hearing aid resting in my ear held with the wire. I was afraid to try another custom mold. I decided to change audiologists and I met Lori. I asked if she could make a mold that would hold the hearing aid in place but not inside my ear canal. After hearing my story, she seemed a little reluctant to take me on. But she said she really wanted to help me and she thought she could do it. She did it! The custom mold fits perfectly and painlessly. It does not fall out. I can hear so much better. I couldn't be happier. Lori is the best! I highly recommend her!

My 86-year-old father with Alzheimer's and my mother had an appointment with Amy Lopez at 09:30 AM. We were running 8 minutes late -- life happens when you're caring for elderly parents -- but I even called 5 minutes before to let them know we were on our way. When we arrived, instead of compassion or understanding, the receptionist was laughing and chatting on the phone while I waited. Then, after making me wait another 5 minutes, we were told that Amy Lopez would NOT see my mother because we were late. Do you know what it takes to get two elderly people, one with Alzheimer's, ready and transported to a medical appointment? The effort? The stress? And to be turned away over 8 minutes -- after we called ahead -- was cruel. And to make matters worse, the office was filthy. The floors were disgusting, and the testing room where my mom was supposed to be seen was unsanitary and uncomfortable. As someone who works in healthcare, I was horrified. Compassion and dignity are the foundation of patient care -- and this place has neither. If you care about your loved ones, do NOT bring them here. Especially not to Amy Lopez. Patients deserve better. Elderly patients deserve much better.

I've had a constant staph infection in that ear since the surgery and had to actually ask him to perform a culture test at my last appointment in order to get an appropriate antibiotic to clear it up. He reluctantly took a specimen and was clearly annoyed that I had to tell him to do it. Each and every appointment is extremely rushed and he doesn't like to answer questions about my condition or the course of care. This pissed me off to the point today that I actually walked out of the office and asked my primary ENT Doctor for another referral. Furthermore, his office manager is one of the biggest bitch's I've ever come across in the health care profession. For example, today while I was in the waiting room at their Orange office location I overheard her complaining to another front office employee about a patient in an extremely unprofessional way. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone. 1 Extremely poor patient care and communication. 2 Dr. House should retire as he is either in his late 60's or even in his early 70's.
