Worst experience I've had with a company! I confirmed my appointment multiple times both via phone and by email as I was instructed. Thankfully I called the day before my appointment to confirm again because I was told my appointment was never officially scheduled and the time was no longer available! The office also told me they take my insurance but later backtracked and said they don't and that I'd need to talk to my insurance because Sonus didn't understand my referral...I talked to my insurance and they were confused what the issue was! I kept calling Sonus and was on hold and had to get call backs all day and they finally admitted it was their mistake and there was no issue after all! Because of all of this, and my urgent need for a hearing test, I had to drive 2 hours away somewhere else. Sonus Irvine absolutely wasted a full day for me and forced me to drive so far away. Absolutely never trust this office for an appointment! It is mind blowing that they did not know how insurance or referrals work and it took them so long to finally admit everything was in order on my end. read more

Heartless. Unprofessional. Absolutely unacceptable. I never thought I'd have to write a review like this, but what happened today at Sonus Hearing Care in Irvine was beyond upsetting. My 86-year-old father with Alzheimer's and my mother had an appointment with Amy Lopez at 09:30 AM. We were running 8 minutes late -- life happens when you're caring for elderly parents -- but I even called 5 minutes before to let them know we were on our way. When we arrived, instead of compassion or understanding, the receptionist was laughing and chatting on the phone while I waited. Then, after making me wait another 5 minutes, we were told that Amy Lopez would NOT see my mother because we were late. Do you know what it takes to get two elderly people, one with Alzheimer's, ready and transported to a medical appointment? The effort? The stress? And to be turned away over 8 minutes -- after we called ahead -- was cruel. And to make matters worse, the office was filthy. The floors were disgusting, and the testing room where my mom was supposed to be seen was unsanitary and uncomfortable. As someone who works in healthcare, I was horrified. Compassion and dignity are the foundation of patient care -- and this place has neither. If you care about your loved ones, do NOT bring them here. Especially not to Amy Lopez. Patients deserve better. Elderly patients deserve much better. read more

I was A little nervous at first, receptionist made me feel very calm, and took my information, I filled out my papers. The test was quick and I was sitting in front of the Dr. in no time at all. My wife thinks I'm going deaf, but my doctor told me that I'm above average for my age and then I'm doing quite well. My diagnosis was I'm more distracted than I am deaf :-). One of my hearing aids omitted a screeching noise and would not stop. I was getting ready to leave town to vacation with some family members. Debbie was most helpful when I called the Irvine office. There were no available openings in the Irvine schedule so she checked with the office in Pasadena, where I was going. They did not have any availability as well. She told me to keep the hearing aid on until the charge ran out and it would be silent. When I returned home today, I went to the Irvine office. Debbie is s sending my aids and the charging box back to see what is wrong. Danielle had prepared a loaner set for me, which was fully charged and ready to go. I will keep these until mine are repaired. I am beyond pleased with the outstanding customer service provided by Debbie and Danielle! read more

From Debbie Morrison at the front desk (who calms me down) to Danielle who just saved my life, by my desperate plea that I broke my hearing aide, but in a matter of a half hour, it was Debbie who said that Danielle had just replaced the cover on my hearing aide and it didn't work for my earwax blocked my life altering hearing devise! Jessica M. I applaud you for keeping all systems good. I adore you good people for your speedy remedy as I swore I'd have to not hear anything until months later in the event I broke my hearing aide! I pick it up Monday and in the meantime I guess my TV will have to blare again and get into fights with my mother, since she is in denial about her not hearing me nor anyone, which we actually scream at each other and still I can't hear her without my device. It's a hardship to not hear and it does create havoc on the phones, since not only my mother but all of my friends that I just say," Oh yeah, that's great!" I was referred to this office through in inquiry I made through Starkey for some custom electronic hearing protection. I shoot regularly in competition, and was interested in picking up a set of Sound Gear custom electronic hearing protection. My experience here was nothing short of excellent. I came in and met with Cristian, who made me a set of molds, which would be sent out to Starkey for them to make me my ear protection. The staff was professional, efficient, and most of all made my experience pain-free. I received a great deal on my purchase, but more importantly the customer service experience was top notch. Investing upwards of $1,200 on hearing protection is not a minor decision, and I am confident I made the right choice in both equipment and choosing a hearing center that were capable and accommodating. Fast forward two weeks, and my new set of ears were done. I came in and tried them on. The fit was checked, and all the features and accessories were explained in detail to me, along with proper care and usage instructions. Bonus: got some handy accessories thrown in, which should help out with my usage and care/maintenance of these expensive items. Overall: You can't go wrong by coming here. I feel confident in referring people here without hesitation. Their office location is also great too, its not in the "dental office" district in Woodbridge, rather its a few plazas over so parking is not a nightmare either. amazing what can be done today for ringing in the ears, vertigo, hearing loss. My friend is diabetic. She developed cold symptoms like the flu. Two days later, she suddenly lost hearing in her left ear COMPLETELY. No response to steroids.
