This review is for those who manage the office. The workers and staff are kind and understanding but logistically they do not know what they are doing because they act like separate moving parts. Front office doesn't coordinate with back office and is a disservice to the licensed audiologists. Orders get missed, they don't document what goes in or out for repair and don't call when they say they will call. They will openly lie when they don't know where your order is. Expediting means nothing and no one takes responsibility. I hope Kaiser drops this place too. read more

If you are a Kaiser Senior Advantage member and Kaiser covers $2,000 per year for both of your hearing aids you are being ripped off at this place they are charging you a retail price that you can get it somewhere else plus they're taking the $2,000 from Medicare.. I went to Pacific hearing in Rancho Cucamonga and ordered custom hearing aids in the meantime I called over I'd hear USA to find out because I have Medicare Kaiser advantage and I have a $2,000 allowance maybe I would get them for Less they asked me depends on what insurance you have is the price that you get and that purchasing the same exact hearing aids was going to cost me the same price I've been paying and then they take the money from Kaiser $2,000 that's called stealing!!! If you had this experience with them please call Kaiser Member Services and file a complaint the more people that file a complaint against this business the faster Kaiser will drop them as a vendor because they are not good read more

Natalie is the best, smart, informative, and a real shining star. thank you for all your help.

The staff is very good and my husband and I have both gotten hearing aids and have had follow up appointments with good outcomes. My frustration is that they do not answer their phones even when they don't have single customer. Call go to an automated call center with a recording that tells you you're going to be transferred but ultimately you have to leave a message and wait till someone calls you back. I've called while I've been at their office with receptionist not being busy and the calls still go to the call center. That is not good customer service. The receptionist said it was a corporate policy read more

Excellent audiologist,Dr Calderon, Au.D. and very helpful staff . Also very friendly and helpful. One problem is it's difficult to call and speak with anyone. You have to leave your name and phone no. for a call back. read more

I booked an appointment with Natalie, Dr. Of Hearing, but when I arrived, they told me I had to see a new person instead. One of my ears is plugged, with no wax, and she had never heard of the word eustachian tube. I also had a broken wire, but they did not stock that size. It turns out when I called their office it unknowingly sent me to their headquarters, and evidently they don't know the schedule, because Dr. Natalie was booked solid that day,. It was extremely frustrating. Her next appointment was several weeks away. read more

Excellent customer service. They take/follow up on any issues you may have. Very knowledgeable personal always ready to help you.

Very professional. Stacy identified the issue I was having with my hearing aids and fixed it very quickly. She is very knowledgeable

Bought my hearing aid in 2022. It kept breaking down at regular intervals. Luckily I had 3 years warranty. All hell broke loose when the warranty expired. The aid for one side stopped working. We bought the hearing aid just for that side and they kept delaying it. Got a call weeks after we paid and they said some form is missing that they need to submit to the manufacturer. Later we found out we had already filled up that form when we paid. Waste of time. When my wife followed up with them to check the delivery status they said we have to buy two since it's outside warranty. What a RIP OFF. Stay away from them. They don't have good business ethics and give a run for your money. Not going there again. read more

HearUSA - Hearing Aid Providers Near Me - Claremont, California

I was recommended by the audiologist and from the day we meet with Natalie it was nice. She answered all our questions we had. We got our daughter a BAHA band and it was an easy process. The staff was so nice and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is in need of a hearing aid read more

I went here because I had coverage thru Kaiser than put $1,000 toward the cost. The hearing aids were uncomfortable so I did not use them. Finally determined that I really needed hearing aids because my hearing was deteriorating significantly, and went back with comfort as the sole issue. Twice. Their response was to try to sell me newer aids with Bluetooth. It made no sense to upgrade until I could use the ones I had already paid a $4,000 for in addition to what Kaiser paid. I persisted, and Hear USA's solution was to give me a new piece that went into my ears. It was more comfortable, but I couldn't exercise or do other activities because was too small. I later learned that it was a child's earpiece. I also learned that I have unusually small ear canals, with one smaller than the other. How did learn this? Because I went to a new hearing aid place that took a mould of my ears, which is what Hear USA should have done when I first told them I was having a problem with discomfort. Hear USA apparently works on a commission basis - at least another HearUSA that I went to did. They only apparently sell one brand. But the bottom line is that they don't care. They're like car salesmen. If you have standard ears they may work for you. But don't expect them to be interested in handling anything else. I did end up paying more for hearing aids somewhere else. A better brand, albeit without Hear USA's bulk buy lower prices from the hearing aid manufacturer. But the major thing that is better is that the new place actually cares how the hearing aids work for me. And now I know for future reference what Hear USA should have done and didn't with regard to fitting. I should add that I filed a grievance with Kaiser, and Hear USA said they would reach out and do something more - as I recall, it may have been to make moulds. But they didn't. Not a word. As I recall, they told Kaiser that they didn't mention the possibility of taking a mould because they thought giving me the new ear piece would work. They also told Kaiser things in response to my grievance that were inconsistent with my recollection. I gave them two stars because I did receive hearing aids and the tests they ran appeared to be competent, but I would never go back again, no matter what they offered. read more

Bad vibes. Poor instruction upon receiving the hearing aids. App was very amateurish. Dr. wasn't very supportive. Just bad vibes. Update: Picked up a set of hearing aids, returned before trial period ended because they were a horrible fit. I asked if I could see what other options were available, but was told that was the only choice I had. So I called my insurance provider and they were quite surprised that I was not given other choices. They are sending me to a different location in Rancho where I should be offered some choices (and hopefully better customer service). read more

I'm actually quite surprised by all the negative reviews. My experience was pleasant. The front desk gals were friendly and the provider (I believe his name was Philip) was great too. He explained everything to me in a way I completely understood and answered all of my questions. My hearing is just barely off so I've decided to postpone getting hearing aides at this time , but definitely not because I was unhappy with the care I received. read more

Phillip was patient and adjusted the hearing aids so they were comfortable. Staff is friendly and always returns calls.

What happened to this business? We had been coming here for years and pre-pandemic the front office staff and the doctors were nice. Now, no one answers the phone, and I have tried calling many times. Also messages aren't returned. This place has so gone down the tubes, - unfortunately they work with Kaiser, our provider. read more

On 06.19.2024, I had the worst experience at this location with Phillip Brandon. His behavior was beyond appalled. As he attempted to assist me, he reeked of cigarettes. When I politely mentioned it with the hopes of someone else assisting me, he was defensive, disrespectful, unprofessional, and just plain rude. Clearly, what one does on their personal time is none of my business. However, when you're on the clock rendering service to a paying customer, then that's an entirely different story. I should not be subjected to the smell of cigarettes. He not only yelled at the top of his lungs in front of my granddaughter, but what came out his mouth was unbelievable. I was beside myself. I've never ever been treated/insulted in such a manner as this. I asked him to stop as my granddaughter was witnessing the entire encounter; unfortunately, he did not and continued to yell even louder. I hope this incident is addressed appropriately by management. read more

Was told I could walk in for service for my hearing aid and decided to come in. When I entered there was no one at the front desk so I signed in and sat down to wait. 10 minutes later the woman return to the front desk and sat down and didn't even acknowledge me before making a phone call. In the middle of her phone call a man entered and singed in, she stopped in the middle of her conversation and addressed HIM and handed him the paperwork he had come to pick up and wished him a good day! She then went back to her phone call and continued to ignore me. The tech was in with a patient as I waited patiently for him to finish. Once he wrapped up the appointment, he walked right pass me without any acknowledgement and went to the back and stayed gone for quite sometime. Meanwhile, the woman at the desk finished her phone call and began typing on the computer again while not even asking if I had been helped. After waiting a total of 30 minutes and being completely ignored, I just left. Very disappointed in the customer service at this location. read more

I checked with the insurance and this place (on Baseline Rd. in Claremont, CA) was listed as being covered by our Blue Shield insurance. I called and made an appointment. They took my insurance information. A month later I went to the appointment. I filled out multiple medical forms (took 20 minutes or so). When I took the forms to the front desk they said, "Oh, by the way, we don't accept your Blue Shield insurance." Huh? What? You are on the list. They said sorry, no. I said do they accept the payment for the hearing aids at least? They said no, they don't. I called the insurance from the office. They said this HearUSA office is listed as a provider, but the audiologist that was contracted had left to another office and the new audiologist (Natalie Calderon) didn't even bother to contract with Blue Shield OR to let them know they weren't accepting it. They wasted our entire day and we waited a month for the appointment. They had a ton of time to tell us before the appointment AND notify the insurance that they chose not to accept Blue Shield. Shame on you!! I took a day off work for this appointment. They emailed multiple times not to miss the appointment and didn't even bother to notify us that they refused to accept out insurance. Were they expecting us to just pay out of pocket or something? Do not recommend this office. Very shady to not update your insurance to try to draw people under false pretenses, misrepresenting their coverage. read more

Front desk girl not too knowledgeable and she isn't sufficient. Not too happy with the customer service

I'm not sure to what to compare my parents' and my experience at HearUSA, since this is the first time we ventured out to get Dad fitted for a hearing aid. He's been asking for one for years, but then always balked when it was time to go through all the necessary tests because his ears are super sensitive. In all though, we had a not-so-bad time, and if anyone I know needed a recommendation, I would absolutely suggest they go here, with one tiny caveat, which I'll cover in a sec. After we got my Dad his referral and all the proper paperwork through Kaiser, we easily made our appointment and headed out to Claremont on the big day. I think we were easily the first people here and the office was clean, with a wonderful Keurig to keep us company in the waiting room (seriously, why don't more medical offices splurge on a little luxury like this? just grab one of those Bed, Bath & Beyond coupons and go get something nice for your patients--a little comfort goes a long way). Also, the great thing about this office is that they mailed us all the paperwork in advance, so that we walked in with all the tedious forms filled out and we could be seen by the audiologist (Dr. Ismaeli, I believe) right away. The fitting was fascinating! Watching my dad try on his hearing aid for the very first time is something I should have filmed for one of those big reveal YouTube videos--could have made some good green cash. The doc asked my dad about his everyday experience to see which one of the hearing aid models would best fit his lifestyle. This included having my mom go talk to my dad from behind the door to simulate what it's like for them to have a conversation at home. This was super enlightening. The doc was very careful with Dad's ears, asking him continuously about the fit, comfort level, volume and so on. He really put my Dad at ease and made the whole process educational and useful. The only thing that would hold me back from a five star review, though, is the fact that this office doesn't provide the doctor with the samples of all the models that are available for ordering. As it was, the doctor only had the highest-priced and most advanced model on site even though there were like six to choose from in the catalog. I'm not sure what the reasoning for this was, as there was ZERO upsell and the doctor actually recommended the second least expensive model for my father. We ended up ordering the recommended aid sight unseen (and unheard) even though this annoyed me personally (but my parents seemed not to be bothered by this). I think my dad was relieved knowing that he had two months to test out the model and could bring it back for a refund at any time during that period which is why we went through with the order. Great policy! The next morning, however, my Dad actually asked me to cancel his aid because he felt a little discomfort in his ears (again, his are SUPER sensitive) and he doesn't think he is ready to be inserting something like a hearing aid in his ears all the time. When I called HearUSA and spoke to Cami at the front office, she was incredibly sweet and gracious about the cancellation and said they would be happy to accommodate us when my Dad decides to go ahead with the device. The customer service here is excellent! read more

Stay away from this Hear USA in Claremont. Bad service . The Dr that works handled things well at the initial hearing test visit, then it fell apart after that. We were not informed at the time of visit how long it would take for Kaiser to clear the hearing aids or at least warned it could take awhile. We figured it would be a couple days . If you are going with Insurance they will quote really high and then tell you your Kaiser Ins is giving you half off to make it sound like you are getting a deal. In reality the Insurance saved me $398 for the hearing aids . I just went to another location in Chino, and they quoted me what it would run if I was a cash patient. That's how I got the actual cost of the hearing aids, and the service at the Chino Hear USA staff was much better! The Dr that works there..Her name is Natalie.. she had some pretty unprofessional unkind things to say to me when I complained to her. Not handled well at all because she didn't want to deal with me and my questions and comments. read more

I was redirected to hear USA through Kaiser Permanente who did my hearing tests and then sent me here for my hearing aids. Well they had me try on and use the the the best they have the most expensive even though I had Xpress I wasn't really gonna be able to pay much above and beyond what I was getting through Kaiser and then Medicare it's discounts. They sent me home with those and then when I came back because that they wanted me to try them for two weeks when I came back and I don't know that I couldn't afford those and they said OK and sent me on my way. Well I managed to get the funding for them over $4000 by the way, and then I came back and picked up a pair of them. Well then I did a little research and found that you were hearing USA offered amok many different varieties and sizes not just the Signia high end my complaint is they never offered or suggested any other than just the very best ones and that was that. I was a little disappointed also with I was told I could come in most anytime to fix them or have them repaired because they seem to plug up in the mic it or the speaker and in your ears and they have to replace the clean out and eight anyways they wanna make you wait a day or two for that even though I was told I could come in anytime and their door is always locked or generally locked with even with someone sitting at the desk doesn't wanna even come and I have to see only the person that gave me the hearing aids to have work done if just for a basic chip cleaning. I don't get it I'm not very happy. read more

Honestly, these people were amazing to me. They were so helpful. Kaiser took over 2 months to approve my replacement BAHA and when it finally happened Kaiser failed to updated my personal information with Cochlear, so I didn't even know I was approved. I called HearUSA and was in a panic because my wedding was coming up and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to hear. They made phone calls for me and when they found out I was approved and getting married they did everything in their power to get my BAHA to me and get me into their office for my appointment. The Dr. was amazing, the ladies in the front office were amazing. I highly recommend them to everyone!!!!! Thank you all! read more

I had an appointment and met with a Doctor of Audiology. After discussion of my hearing loss I was provided with 4 options for Hearing Aids ranging from Superior to Entry. Prices ranged from $4990. to $1832. I was never shown a sample......... just provided the price. How can you decide on a purchase without seeing what is offered. Ridiculous Service and Company. Superior hearing aids can be purchased from Costco at a price lower than her lowest estimate for Entry level aids. Not a business that I would ever recommend. read more
